Joe And Ronnie Lane Talk Bucs
September 18th, 2015It was Wednesday afternoon when Joe and smooth-talking Ronnie Lane of the Buccaneers Radio Network and WDAE-AM 620 sat down to talk Bucs. Joe was still flabbergasted by Sunday’s performance from the Bucs’ defense.
Oh yeah, the Bucs are playing the Saints in two days, too. Joe and Ronnie discussed this, as well, in the weekly Bucs chat below.
Enjoy!

The fact you are flabbergasted says a lot. Lovie has gotten annihilated 3x and lost at home twice to backup qbs on mediocre teams. This is 5 of his 17 games. Oh, yeah the other 12 he’s 2-10. My biggest problem with him is you can count on him being out coached and our team not being ready to play at least 3-4 games per year that’s a lot. I’d say he has mo more slack he can’t be blown out the remainder of the year or have team come out flat. Barring a winning record I think that gets him fired at the end of the year..

I agree with Brent. This is becoming the norm for the Bucs and it’s downright disgusting.

the thing that bothers me the most is the defense. Lovie went out and got players that “know” the system. the others are in their 2nd yr in the system except for the MLB and we had all these players out of position, missing assignments etc. where does that leave us? poor coaching and / or no accountability within the players themselves.

Has any NFL team gotten blown out more times than the YUCS in the last 5-6 seasons? FUK man I can’t believe I’m even asking this question.

What’s MOST startling is how we keep trotting out terrible coaching choice after terrible coaching choice. We tried (and failed) to get Chip Kelly, and instead went for…Schiano? The drop off from Kelly to Schiano on a COLLEGE LEVEL is huge, but NFL? Even bigger. Raheem and Lovie seemed to get the players to buy into one another, like a brotherhood. As much as I love that, it doesn’t win games.
Lovie seems to be in the fast lane towards Hot Seat City, followed by a stop in Joblessville, unless he can turn this team around. If that happens, and we trot out another terrible, 2nd tier choice at Head Coach? Our team is going to be sitting in the basement of the NFL for awhile… a long while….
