Jameis Nears QB Mark

A franchise record is within reach of America’s Quarterback Sunday.
It is not all gloom and doom for Tampa Bay and America’s Quarterback, Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston.
In fact, Jameis could tie a Bucs record tomorrow against the Saints.
Last week, Jameis had two touchdowns and over 200 yards passing. If he can duplicate that today, then he will be the second Bucs rookie to accomplish this in consecutive games. Only one other rookie Bucs QB history has done this. And he happens to be on the same roster as Jameis. That would be quarterback of the past and quarterback of the future but not the quarterback of the present, Mike Glennon.
If Jameis gets over 200 yards tomorrow and adds two touchdown passes, then Jameis and Glennon will be the only Tampa Bay rookie quarterbacks to accomplish such a milestone.
And Glennon accomplished this feat twice.
Joe thought initially this stat was a bit dubious. But per Pro-Football-Referenence.com, neither Vinny Testerverde nor Josh Freeman had back-to-back two touchdowns/200+ yards passing games as rookies.
Who said the Bucs are not deep at quarterback?

Actually I believe depth at QB is a good thing. We are lucky to have MG8 if #3 gets injured.

Its about that time for Jameis to start leading his team… It nay be a lot of pressure for a rookie QB, but.
Lovie cant lead…He’s too soft, to content with his retirement package the Glazers gifted him with last year…
GMC cant lead… after seeing him Mic’d Up during the Tenn game, telling guys to ‘relax’, what the fck type of LEADER tells his men to RELAX???

We drafted the right QB, no doubt about it. We will be fine this season, i’m not concerned. We will win the NFC South, then all of these phony fans can get back on the bandwagon. I’m always having problems with this site.

Prediction:
Bucs defense collapses again, loses the game. But the offense puts up a good effort…

Lovie eventually joining the unemployment line, and GMC & LVD leading the 25th – 32nd ranked defense.

I was unsure if Evans is playing today. He should help the Bucs win this game if healthy enough. Evans, Jackson and ASJ, Dunkaneers reunited. Bombs away. Martin jitterbugging through gaping holes. This ones for keeps.

Geez so it’s an impressive accomplishment if you’re a #1 pick who’s been WAY over-hyped on JBF, but if you’re a 3rd round pick it only gets the (ignorant???) majority of the fanbase enthused enough to want to trade said 3rd rounder for a bag of chips and a late round flyer? Maybe that’s my main issue with Jameis which is nothing of his own doing but the JBF over-sell (America’s QB, the Jameis Christ picture, the “franchise QB” tag before even taking a NFL snap) when we’re now hoping he can achieve something Glennon already has done. Ah well…we’re Bucs fans and by default used to dissapointment.

Historically, the Bucs have lost 8 of the last 10 first games.
Also historically, the Bucs defense has improved from week 1 to week 2.
So I’m predicting this…the Bucs defense will look better. Much better.
Don’t know if we win, but we will have a stronger showing at least. Expect Jameis to turn the ball ove 1-2 times. Expect the defense to get the ball back 2-3 times.
Expect at least one botched snap. Expect Martin to have a good game. Expect Vincent Jackson to score.
Beyond all that? No clue. But that would be at least a little improvement, even if they don,t win. So long as a trend of improvement continues through mid season and we win 2 games by then, I”m content.

How do you go from Koetter is the worst OC in the league to we’re going to take the NFC South? I think Koetter and Winston will be fine but Lovie is done. As much as I love the Bucs we will be lucky to win 4-6 games.
