“Go After All Of Them”
September 25th, 2015So which Bucs defense shows up Sunday?
The defense that got horsewhipped by a 2-14 team on the road breaking in a brand new rookie quarterback? Or is the defense that last week lassoed long-time nemesis and future Pro Football Hall of Famer Drew Brees?
If it is the latter, Joe thinks the Bucs could pull off another road win, as Houston is starting backup quarterback, sloppy Ryan Mallett, a younger version of Josh McClown, sans the happy feet.
Don’t tell that to Bucs defensive tackle Gerald McCoy. He is of the mind every NFL quarterback is dangerous, and if you think otherwise, you will live to regret it.
“No, it’s the NFL,” GMC said about Mallett being a lesser quarterback. “You underestimate somebody and that’s the Sunday you get your head beat in. You just got to approach everyone the same.”
Now Joe thought that Mallett, so mobile he has pigeon droppings on his shoulders, would be easy prey for GMC and the Bucs. GMC corrected Joe and claimed Joe is wrong.
“It don’t matter, whether we chase somebody or somebody is standing in the pocket,” GMC said. “It’s a quarterback, it’s a quarterback, go after all of them.”

@Joe … “GMC corrected Joe and claimed Joe is wrong.”
He ‘claimed’ Joe is wrong? Sorry Joe, GMC flat out said you were wrong. Denigrating your opponent is never a good idea, and calling Ryan Mallet ‘sloppy’ and ‘so mobile he has pigeon droppings on his shoulders’ qualifies as denigrating your opponent.
Agree 100% with GMC: Every NFL QB is dangerous.

What does GMC knows?
Joe knows Quarterbacks!
100% Effort is all I want to see from our coaches and players. Lets keep it going Buccaneers!!!

What makes me nervous is how we have made backup quarterbacks look so good over the past few years.

I seem to remember Derek Anderson getting over on GMC.

@JOE is:
America’s QB Coach, Scout, Talent Evaluator, etc… LMFAO

OK, so maybe they were buzzard droppings.

Great attitude to have. Don’t underestimate anyone in this league.

I’m sorry but the phrase every NFL QB includes Josh McCown and that man is about as dangerous as a water gun. At best a
small part of him is a choking hazard

GMC is right. Play every qb you face like Aaron Rodgers. When you under estimate your opponent, you usually lose. This defense needs to treat Sunday like their going against the 88 49ers.

Its not hard….D line stunts with a splash or two of pass rush for the 1st half….all out blitz the D 2nd half on most downs.
My main concern is Texans using JJ as a decoy….I dont know whats going on with him, but only double team him if he proves worthy of it. Focus on the others O line!

No player is going to say that another player sucks in an interview. But also, he is right. These QB’s are in the NFL because they can make the throws; they have some level of competence.

I got one thing from that entire interview. When asked how he was doing GMC responded…fine. Sounds like he is good to go Sunday.
