Fightin’ Jameis
September 30th, 2015It seems Texans folks are upset with America’s Quarterback, Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston.
Get in line.
One reason Joe has that moniker for Jameis (there are a few) is that Jameis easily one of the most loathed college football players in history..
Maybe not since Brian Bosworth has there been a more hated college player. Jameis was, to many, the ultimate villain, sort of like a wrestling heel. That has somewhat continued in the NFL.
Texans fans are angered at Jameis, thinking he should have been flagged or thrown out of last week’s game for protecting himself.
On a running play, Jameis was tackled by Brian Cushing and career drifter, Houston safety Quintin Demps, ran in from 10 yards out and grabbed Jameis, well after the whistle. Jameis responded to the cheap shot with a right jab. See below.

Good for Jameis!
Joe loves to see that kind of fight in a young quarterback! It reminded Joe of when Jameis was peppered with J.J. Watt questions last week and he responded, “I never let another man intimidate me, ever.”

Best freaking highlight of the game! You go, Jaboo! “No te dejes”!

I love the competitive nature, but if he breaks his hand throwing a jab at a defensive scrub this is a different story. Personally, I would prefer that my franchise QB refrain from throwing punches with his throwing hand.

Look at the way the Oline steps in to protect him. Love to see Jameis’ fire and love to see his teammates have his back

I can’t remember any personal foul penalty thrown on a QB ever.

Demos had no business running in to grab JW

@Bucfan37. Crazy, but Josh Freeman actually got a personal foul from an interception. It may have been late hit out of bounds. JFro rocked him pretty good.

Sam thing occurred to me. It was against the Falcons, and Freeman threw an int to Brent grimes and just demolished him about a yard out of bounds. Hehe. Before Freeman crashed and burned, he was fun for a bit.

Anyone who thinks a player should be thrown out for that seriously needs to watch a different sport. The sissification of sports is reaching an all time high.

Really..he was pushing his hands off him. Whoever had an issue with that is more of a b$tch than my ex-wife…lmao.

I feel like you just made up a story out of thin air. I Houston really still talking about this play?

For not being a previous Jameis fan, I’ve been really impressed with him. It’s the rest of the team we have to worry about.

Lol they really hemmed and hawed about that? Wheres Trump when someone needs to be called a loser?

he had a couple nice little run block efforts too. i appreciate the fire, kid, but your OL is not nasty enough to protect you at the moment. and according to ed hochuly, you shouldn’t count on much ref protection unless you get the manning\brees\brady elder statesman status
September 30th, 2015 at 8:16 pm
Yea,.. I’m not seeing a “Jab” looked like a two handed push of to the facemask. Whatever…

@Pic 6 says – “your OL is not nasty enough to protect you at the moment.” I beg to differ.. Cushing went to the mat to tap out when Jameis tried for the arm bar, then kitty cat Demps starts shoving Jameis and telling him his mom forgot her toothbrush. At least Jameis did not take his shiet and shoved him back. Joe Hawley got right in Demps face and yelled “who’s moma?” Logan Mankins came in ready to throw down if things got out of hand. Even Godhelpme Cherilus was on his way to get a piece of the action when he told Jameis he should have kneed Demps where it counts. If that is not nasty enough then I do not know what is?

Don’t run in and touch the qb after the play or you might get hit in the mouth!!! Jameis will do it himself. I like this kid more every day

It was Lovie’s fault Jameis did not help Demps up.
