Pillow Talk
August 2nd, 2015Want to know the intimate details of the private life of “America’s Quarterback,” Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston?
Well, Joe has the goods straight from his roommate, fellow rookie and wide receiver Kenny Bell.
And it should be no surprise that it deals with football.
Bell was asked about Bucs quarterbacks and, in particular, Jameis. Everybody is asked about Jameis. Bell began describing Jameis’ attention to detail and dropped a stunning anecdote about how Jameis lives, eats, breathes and, yes, mumbles football as he dozes off at night.
“Jameis is the kind of guy that it will be 1 o’clock in the morning and I will be sitting up, hanging out and [Jameis] will be rolled over, and then he will call out a play and tell me what receiver I am and ask me what I’ve got,” Bell said. “Then he will giggle and say, ‘Ha, you thought I was asleep.’
“That is the type of relationship we are starting to build. His dedication to his work is unbelievable. The man’s football intelligence, his football IQ, it is just — it is unbelievable. It is something I have never been around before as far as player-to-player.”
So there you have it, Bucs fans. You want a quarterback immersed in football 24/7? You want a guy to fall asleep thinking football and how to beat defenses? Jameis is your guy.
All hail, Jameis!

Pulling for this guy. I’m a Buccaneers fan from Illinois and one of my best friends has cancer and she is a Nebraska football fan. He took the time to sign a Nebraska shirt and wrote her a message. Really lifted her spirits. Seems to be a really good guy and I think he was a steal in the 5th round. You have a fan out here in Illinois, Kenny.

To those who said “You have to blind not to see Jamis is another Jamarcus Russell” this is yet another shining example of why he isn’t.

DrHoagy…we heard from several different scouts and NFL types that his football IQ is off the charts. Some comparing him to be on Manning’s level of football IQ. Yet the doubters didn’t want to believe it. It’s almost unbelievable that we landed this kid. Atleast for me anyways, since I wanted him to be a Buc since early 2013. I’m kind of sorry for thinking this but I don’t think this kid is going to be a bust. I’m sorry for it, because I believe in jinxes, so I’m trying to temper my excitement for the kid. It’s really hard though the more I hear and see.

In my humble opinion, Jameis has more of the “it” factor than all of our previous so called franchise quarterbacks combined. Proof is always in the pudding though. Let’s get this started!!

The folks at University of Seffner see similarities between Jameis, and Jon Gruden when it comes to sleeping.

University of Seffner.. Is that Seffner, Florida? That university must be in a cow pasture. I lived in Seffner as a small child, Dover also. Who knows, it may have changed, I haven’t been back in a very long time.
