Jameis Learns From Vincent Jackson

August 29th, 2015
"It's not about that."

“It’s not about that.”

One thing Joe sort of snickers about is how big-named, big-time national NFL writers do their one-day drive-by visit to One Buc Palace and then pretend they are authorities on the team.

It looks good, but they are not there every day. Oh well, the effort is appreciated.

One such reporter is MMA-head Jay Glazer, who is riding to each and every NFL facility in some motorhome where he interviews a player or two and marches on to another city.

In this FOX Sports video below, Glazer interviews America’s Quarterback, Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston. In the video, Jameis talks about NFL players he admires (Pac Man Jones???) and how he may have learned more from Bucs wide out Vincent Jackson than any of his teammates.

Jameis has great charisma and seems to do very well with all of his interviews….he’s honest, engaging, friendly and doesn’t hide from any questions…..being familiar how to deal with the media, I am certain his style will help him put his controversial past behind him.

“I love this game and I want to be the best at it.” And we will enjoy watching you reach your goals Jameis!!!

  3. georgia buc fan 39 years Says:

Yeah Joe, even in our super bowl run all you heard from the national “Experts” was how this or that QB could get out of the pocket and make things happen. Up until Wed before super sunday. Then one of the “Experts” must have watched some game film and realized that the Bucs were a dominate team. It must have really galled the major media markets to acknowledge the upstart bucs . And the trend continues…

    Dito TBBF

I don’t get how Jay Glazer warrants the spotlight either. He knows a little bit about every team, that makes him a freaking genius, or so they would think you think. They should bring back Jimmy Kimmel, at least he was humorous. Glazer can’t stop smiling because he thinks people see him as knowledgeable.

  6. Hawaiian Buc Says:

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, how anyone can not like this guy is beyond me.

  7. Ray Rice Says:

THE MESSIAH! Great things to come at Raymond James!

  8. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

You know how it gose with Jamies Hawaiian,it just takes a lil time but eventually he wins everyone over.

  9. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    @Ray Rice,

You have to work on your spelling! It’s Raymond Jameis. Come on, you’re better than that!

  10. Ray Rice Says:

    @HAWAIIAN

    LMFAO! Good one!

  11. BucfanBF Says:

Winston has such charisma!! I’m going to enjoy watching the team this year unlike year’s past.

Agree with TBBF completely. I’m won over! I always knew he had talent but I was unaware of his charisma, other than the world class smile.

His interviews have been humble and he has said all the right things.

I’m officially on the bandwagon and ready to forget the immature BS up in Tallahassee. It appears that after his recent 21st birthday Fameis decided to grow up. Hey good on him. I’m not kidding now…it took me until 50 to grow up!!! Luckily I didn’t find my awesome wife until I was 49. If I had met her even as late as 39 I would have never been able to keep her with my own immature behavior.

Ok Fameis lovers I’ll have some crow for breakfast or perhaps just leave us all with that famous lesson…”Judge not lest ye be judged”.

  13. Erik with Clean Athletics Says:

I’m definitely lovin Winston at this point.

  14. '74 bucs fan Says:

Refreshing to see positive comments. To date, Fameis is doing and saying the right things. His play is getting better everyday, and as a Noles fan – I have seen with my own eyes what this kid is capable of. As many of you know, think you like him now, wait until the game is on the line! Whatcha him work the sidelines, pump up his team, and drive down the field for the win!! At his best when its time to dominate!

  15. Buc1987 Says:

    That’s my homeboy…

  16. Buc1987 Says:

    Let me get this straight.

Our team has a QB that strives to be one of the greatest of all time…

    Really? Our team?

    Is this really happening?

  17. StPeteBucsFan Says:

I know 87!!! Let’s all give ourselves a collective pinch. It is freaking unbelievable after all these years.

And we don’t have to worry about the late great LOSER Hugh Culverhouse dumping him after he shows how good he is. For all we can say about the Glazers they too deserve enormous props for this. If we are honest it took some cojones to avoid the easy MM choice and put it on the line for the winner.

  18. '74 bucs fan Says:

’87 – I swear I have goose bumps right now. Just can’t believe it sometimes. Fameis is a Buc! And could be a superstar!! Realky!? Thank you Glasers, Lovie,Light, God…!!

  19. Clearwater28 Says:

If you go to the full interview on the Tampa Bay Times web site, Glazer asked Jameis what he’s learned from the past…he gives a solid answer and takes a peek with a “nailed it” look to someone off camera, assumedly his publicist.

  20. cmurda Says:

@ Erik . You sound like a man ready to turn on a dime. I get sports are all about what have you done for me lately. I rode the Maniel wagon last year and still think Manziel is going to be good, but I’m all in with Jameis since well before the draft. I’m honestly relieved that we waited for Jameis instead of snatching a QB in last year’s draft. He’s the real deal but we all have to be real and know there will be rookie moments. He will get even better and better and I’m very confident he will be here a long time and keep giving us a chance in the years to follow.

  21. cmurda Says:

P.S I hate refreshing the page and having the video start playing with Glazer’s fat head but that’s neither here nor there.
