“He’s Going To Be A Magnet For Women”
August 22nd, 2015SiriusXM NFL Radio dropped by One Buc Palace as part of its annual Training Camp Tour, when a three-hour show is devoted to just one team. Thursday was the Bucs’ turn.
Co-host and former Bucs defensive tackle Booger McFarland noted that “America’s Quarterback,” Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston, won’t just have to master being an NFL quarterback.
Young Jameis must survive the perils of the mean streets of Tampa.
“He’s going to be a magnet for women,” Booger said. “That comes with the profession. For all the rookies coming in, you are going to be looked at as being more handsome than you are.
“Nobody really looks that good, but when you are worth $20-25 million, you are going to look a lot better. I was told that by a lot of [NFL veterans] early on in my career.”
Too bad Booger, a former first-round pick himself, didn’t detail how women threw themselves at him. Joe would have liked to take detailed notes.
Joe thinks Jameis will be just fine. As much of a football junkie that he is, Jameis doesn’t have time to carouse much. He’s too busy hounding Kenny Bell at 1 a.m. about what route he should be running.

Yeah, they said the same thing about night-life Freeman. Just don’t forget when Winston was at the rookie deal this summer put on by the NFL in LA, he found a girl to bother so much it ended up on youtube….she was mad and wanted him to just leave her alone, all the while Winston’s girl was back in the tampa area. I sure hope Winston can stay clear of all the crazy things that caught up with Freeman.

Young Jameis must survive the perils of the mean streets of the Tampa Bay area. – that’s the funniest thing I’ve read all week thanks for the laugh. And I’ve been reading articles on trump so that’s saying a lot. Bada bing pow!
Winston’s girlfriend is beautiful. I’m sure grandma will see him marry before she goes. Therefore he’ll be immune to temptation.
This article reminds me of a story I read yesterday about retired 49ers lb Chris Borland(?) who said during rookie orientation a veteran player or former 49er player advised the rookies to hire a “fall guy” who will take responsibility for any illegal activities. The guy is hired to take the fall and get arrested if necessary then the players would bail him out. All to avoid penalties, fines, suspensions or any negative press. I’m guessing McDonald and Smith didn’t get the memo.

They said the same thing about Joe, too.

I’m more than positive that Winston will steer clear of any freeman-like activities and desires. I think you have to be born “freeman-like” and it’s obvious Winston was not.

@ I know why. You apparently don’t know jack squat. Look up the real articles on that situation and comment when appropriately informed.

Tampa is the city of gold diggers no doubt.

With his pending litigation let’s all hope he demagntizes himself if he hasn’t already.

Those millions are a strong magnet. Look at Jed Clampett, Granny, Elie May and Jethro, the millions attracted every kind of crook and swindler known to mankind.

Agree completely Joe. We don’t have to worry about Fameis during the season unless we go 2-14 again which is enough to drive anybody to drink.
It’s the off season that we need to worry about Fameis.
Tampa is the city of gold diggers no doubt.
I don’t think any city has a lock on that title and it certainly wouldn’t be Tampa.
Try Vegas…or if you want an NFL city I can guarantee that NYC has far more exciting night life with incredibly HOT “gold diggers” than Tampa. Chicago ditto. San Francisco, Boston, DC all have more opportunities than Tampa.
At least we not Jville or Nashville and I grew up in Cincinnati and still have family there and I can definitely say Tampa is a better market if you’re interested in chasing women.

Miami and LA have to be the capitols for gold diggers.

Its not a problem unti it becomes a problem. Poor Fameis cant catch a break. Seems everybody wants to believe he is a ticking time bomb, ready to blow and take the team down with him.
Hey, at least we still have that stud QB Glennon.

I was thinking Miami too. You got to pay to play down there.

I can accept Miami and LA as gold digging capitals. Certainly Miami blows us away in that category.
I have a pretty good feeling that the Bucs and Fameis personal people have assembled a great support system for Fameis and as you suggest he does have a great looking girlfriend already.
Sadly sex isn’t always the result of just normal horns or getting caught by a gold digger. Bill Cosby’s wife Camille is still hot at her advanced age. W T F is wrong with Cosby. This man could have gotten laid by any number of beautiful women yet that wasn’t his bag. I guess he was more hung up on the seduction or rape of women than simply enjoying a sexual encounter with a willing SOBER partner. Sex is just different for some people I guess.
Another I’ll never understand about a pro athlete with millions on the line is a DUI. Millions of dollars and they can’t afford a cab? Adoring posse’s and you can’t find a designated driver. Rent a freaking Limo. But if you’re career is paying you millions and you’re a public figure just do not get into a car when you’re having some adult beverages. It’s a small price to pay when you’re making that kind of money

Not just that, but NFL players have access to a free car service compliments of the NFL. They rarely use it. Think they are being spied on. Think about how stupid that is.
