Bucs Have An Offensive Coordinator
August 15th, 2015One of many sreason the Bucs were a complete and total trainwreck last year was what passed as an offensive coordinator. Of course, Jeff Tedford had a heart issue and never made it to the regular season, which left ill-suited acting coordinator Marcus Arroyo.
We saw what a mess that was. An unadulterated mess.
Well, it should be better this year. The Bucs have veteran NFL offensive coordinator Dirt Koetter at he helm. And at least one Vikings beat writer thinks the Bucs are already showing signs of having a competent mind crafting the offense.
Arif Hasan of VikingsTerritory.com Twittered out a clip that shows the offense of the Bucs is in competent hands.
Good scheming by Koetter. Herron loses Sherels on rub route v. man pic.twitter.com/jK34fnlaXH

Good to see someone with the Bucs has an idea what is going on. That’s one good thing Joe can take away from tonight’s game.

Prediction: Marcus looks like the better QB with fewer picks and more wins after 6 games- Bucs and Jamies look better at the end of the season while both teams watch the playoffs.

Now if we had a gm who knew how to add average offensive lineman in free agency we’d be dangerous!!

It looks like the Bucs needed an extra month of training camp.

We just don’t hAve the talent people to execute any coaches schemes.
If you don’t draft well u don’t win regardless of the coach.
Was just checking out next years mock draft. Ole miss has 6 projected first round picks. Some really good left tackles coming out

I just want to see us score 400 points in a season.
For the first time in 40 years.
If Koetter can pull that off, there is no excuse for losing, unless Lovie can’t handle the defense.
If we win less than six games this year, we fire Lovie, promote Koetter to HC, and bring in Jim Schwartz as our defensive coordinator.
As I say it, I’m already liking the sound of it.

I liked Lovie when he was our LB coach. I loved Lovie as the DC for the Rams. He deserved that job, and he made the most of it.
But if you really listen to Lovie Smith talk, you begin to understand that he simply does not have what it takes to coach his team to consistent victory.
There is always something lacking, some nebulous conception of playing “real football” that is just around the corner, but which you never actually see.
There are no more excuses, Lovie. Win, or be gone.

I am OK with Koetter as long as he fires Gilkey and takes over OL decision making until we get a decent OL Coach. Koetter’s play calling this game was a plus! But next time don’t put loser Glennon back in the fourth quarter. Libato is better and has not had one comeback win in 19 game like Glennon. Not good odds with the Albatross.

We will play much better in the regular season, preseason is like warmups. When the season starts, we will be ready to win this division. This division is our’s for the taking, and we will take it.

Was worried at the beginning, first 2 series just a bunch of “hand-off to Martin, hand-off to Martin”. It had me thinking Tedford was back in the house! Thanks for finally turning the page on the playbook Koetter.

@Cal
Yeah, those first 2 series reminded you of our OC that you didn’t get to see?

@ owlycat
As displayed last night Glennon is still the most NFL ready QB on the Buc’s roster. I seem to remember you last season saying how Brett Smith was better than Glennon too, however I’m gonna predict a similar CFL destination for good old Seth Lobato while Mike will still be slinging footballs on the Bucs (or another NFL team)
