The newest Buccaneer talks Tom Brady vs. Jameis Winston
Yes, new/old Bucs tight end Tim Wright went there on national radio, daring to compare the little he’s seen of Jameis Winston to legendary Tom Brady, his QB last season with the Belicheats.
Wright embraced the comparison during a segment on SiriusXM NFL Radio with co-hosts Zig Fracassi and former Bucs rockstar general manager Mark Dominik last week.
(Of course, Joe was listening. Joe isn’t one of the hibernating local media outlets that thinks Bucs coverage somehow has limits.)
Wright talked about Brady, like Jameis, was the first-in, last-out guy in New England and was a tireless worker in everything remotely related to success on the field.
Interestingly, Wright said playing time and production is the missing, crucial piece for young Jameis.
“[Brady] was a hard worker, you know he demanded a lot from his guys. That’s what I’m seeing from Jameis,” Wright said. “He’s starting off early. He definitely has to get some games under his belt and really produce out there on the field to really gain the respect of the guys.”
Yes, Mike Glennon Mob, Jameis needs to play immediately if he’s healthy.
Also noteworthy was Wright explaining that Brady’s work ethic and leadership are difference makers. “He worked hard behind the scenes and those things really matter,” Wright said.
Joe brings that up because sometimes too much fuss is made about the impact and importance of leadership. However, Joe doesn’t think it can be overstated about the quarterback position. It is that important.

well, is not it telling, how some so called fans still refuse to get behind our new QB. even after he was cleared not only by Tallahassee police dept, but also by FSU. THIS WOMAN IN MY OPINION IS SEEKING A PAYDAY, so lets put a sock in it Curtis, I am sorry the gators suck so bad now, but give jameis a chance, and quit beating a dead horse, or start pulling for the saints, panthers, or Atlanta you freaking jack a mole.

OMG comparing Jamarcus “Porky” Winston to Tom Brady is like Jamarcus Russell to Tom Brady…neither Jamarcus should be spoken in the same sentence with a true hall of famer. I am over Jose’ always with the Belicheat comments….Lovie can have the best picks of the next five drafts and he will not ever challenge the top 4 teams for a Super Bowl Belicheck gets the lowest draft picks, gets screwed out of draft picks from all of the whiner’s in the NFL and still puts together a great team and great game plan each game and season!

I just saw the video of the FSU qb. He was NOT the aggressor. He tried to squeeze up to the bar. The girl started talking chit. She raised a closed fist at him. He grabbed her hand in defense at which point she kicked him and hit with a straight left punch to the face. He then retaliated and hit her with a straight right punch to the face.
Moral of the story is EVERYONE needs to keep their hands to themselves.

Fair question WS99,whom ever ends up winning the starting job in my opinion is somewhat a moot point. My hope is that Koetter utilizes ASJ along with Timmy at the same time thru out the season on numerous occasions. That should cause more than enough havoc in opposing teams secondary. I can’t help but think about how devastating Gronk and Hernandez was in those two tight end packages.
