Former Bucs TE Bullish On Jameis
June 25th, 2015Joe just loves SiriusXM NFL Radio, except yesterday afternoon when it was all Tom Brady talk. Made Joe want to sit at the beach bar at his trendy Miami Beach hotel and nurse Crown and Cokes. Oh, wait.
One guy who Joe would love for NFL Radio to hire is former Bucs tight end Anthony Becht. The dude is just so smooth on radio and brings knowledge that hits it out of the park.
Though he wasn’t on the satellite radio giant yesterday, Becht was on KSOO-FM 99.1 in the metropolis of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Chatter came to the Bucs and it seemed Becht, who works for the Bucs’ official website and radio network, is impressed by what he is hearing about “America’s Quarterback,” signal-caller Jameis Winston.
.@Anthony_Becht on Winston: “When you look at any rookie across the board they have to dominate the playbook. He’s been doing that well.”

.@Anthony_Becht on Winston: “He still feels that he has a lot to prove after all that happened off the field.” — ESPN 99.1 (@ESPN991SF) June 24, 2015
That says a lot to Joe, that Jameis is driven and wants to prove himself.
If Jameis keeps his nose buried in his Surface and continues to inhale Dirk Koetter’s playbook the way the Bucs hint he is, this cannot be anything but great.
Maybe it is the heat of South Florida getting to Joe, but the more Joe thinks about it, the Bucs have a shot of having an explosive offense.

So far, so good. Jameis is no different than any other #1 overall pick….they all have something to proove no matter what the position is.
As far as his past off-field behavior, all he needs to do is lead a somewhat respctable life and give back to the community & he’ll be just fine.

Explosive offense requires adequate offensive line.
I’m hoping, but…

You’re really drinking the cool aide Joe. I’m in. Cheers.

I agree, talk about Brady and bore me to near death. On the possibility of an explosive Bucs offense, that’s not the hot sun messing with your logic, that’s a given sooner or later.

The best pick up was Dirk. The pass will set up the run. Gonna be some upsets. The Buc Ems will go 9-7. Good enough to win the NFL South.
