Winston Explains “No. 3”

Legions of Bucs fans are wondering why Jameis Winston changed his number, away from his trademark No. 5 at Florida State University.
Winston will wear No. 3 for Tampa Bay.
Today at One Buc Palace, explained No. 3 was his first number in youth football and he was looking for a fresh start in the NFL.
Winston also joked that 3+5=8, and No. 8 was on the back of his high school jersey. Then he advised media that 5-3=2, for those who were unaware.

I will say Winston did very well in his press conference. Very Humble. I hope this is what is to come from him.

Good to hear. I think (most) people will warm up to him during the season after watching game pressers. He’s actually quite likable.

He is passionate about his craft and is all in with the team/organization that he represents. He will be the biggest fan of the Tampa bay buccaneers and will bring that fire that we have so desperately lacked.

I haven’t been posting on here long, but I’ve been reading the comments for a while. I’ve been on record for being Pro-Winston and OK with Mariota. I must admit I thought the anti Winston crowd would cry a lot and talk $hit. I’m glad that hasn’t been the case and if the pick was Marcus I would give the same respect. I can tell the people on here who are real BUCS fans no matter what. 87, Erik, tmaxcon, Atrain, TBBucFan, Love and Warrick! I always look to your guys posts for REAL INFO! I’m missing a few I’m sure and I’m sorry!!! Lol can’t wait for tonight!!! GO BUCS!!

So far Jameis is saying all the right things. He has really seemed humbled by being chosen by the team I believe he really wanted to play for as evidenced by his signing so quickly. I really hope this kid continues to mature as his talent is undeniably high. My biggest concerns with him were maturity and he has shown signs that he has indeed matured. No doubt my preference was Mariota , but now that he is our guy I hope he helpshand Mariota his first regular season loss in the NFL. GO BUCS!!
