National Holiday At 8 P.M. Tonight
April 21st, 2015There’s no question this is one of Joe’s favorite days of the year — the day it’s finally easier to stop thinking about last season.
The 2015 NFL schedule comes out tonight, as part of a three-hour extravaganza on NFL Network.
The Bucs’ home opponents are the Cowboys, Giants, Bears, Titans, Jaguars, Saints, Falcons and Panthers. Tampa Bay hits the road with games in Philly, Washington, St. Louis, Houston, Indianapolis, Atlanta, Charlotte and New Orleans.
Joe’s just hoping the Bucs open at home against a suspect team like the Bears or Jaguars. Stomaching another home loss will damage Joe’s liver.
Of course, check back here tonight for the full schedule and reaction.

We choked away that home opener against Carolina last year. We choked away the game against St. Louis. Somebody needs to simply step up and make a freaking play. We can’t drop the int that seals a win this year. We can’t fumble a completion during OT that gives the other team a chip shot FG for the win.
We can’t forget to count to 11.
We beat ourselves plenty last year. And if the coaching doesn’t improve and players don’t get their heads on straight we can do it again this year.
But I’m the blog optimist. The difference between Dirk Koetter and Marcus Arroyo is as great as the difference between Josh McCown and Aaron Rodgers.
The coaching is ALREADY 100% better! The QB will be better! This year’s FA’s have already played in Lovie’s defensive scheme so we shouldn’t need a half season learning curve. It’s all good I tells ya!

Pretty much SPBF.
I’m hoping we get ATL first. Get out there and beat up on Koetter’s old team with their new HC before they get their $hit together. Get some redemption early for the whooping they put on us last year.

” damage joe’s liver” ….LOL!!!

NFL milks everything to maintain relevancy year ’round without regard to the other sports (NBA playoffs, NHL playoffs, MLB)…..its no big deal to know the exact dates – we already know the opponents.

Yes we already have improved, and as a result I think our record will improve. It’s just that fans want to see a GREAT improvement not just somewhat of an improvement and that’s simply not going to happen, at least not right away. But this year we can lay down a very solid foundation and build off that.

Playoff hockey >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Schedule release. Even worse that there will no doubt be 6-12 hours of analysis on the schedule.

Please 1 Monday night game

Did somebody say playoff hockey? Go Bolts. What a freaking exciting team to watch! Great GM…great coach…great captain…great vets…great goalie…great young kids..this team is set for a long run of excellence primarily because of a GREAT OWNER.
And so if there was one trade of that #1 pick I’d make if it was only possible, it would be to trade the Glazers for Jeff Vinik. Then I could guarantee you the Bucs would be relevant again!!!
April 21st, 2015 at 2:09 pm
with the 0-line the bucs currently have I see the bucs winning 4 games this year. that is if 4 of the teams above have significant injuries to their defensive line. otherwise …hello #1 pick again next year.
April 21st, 2015 at 2:28 pm
@port richey george ….wow, you’re a positive ray of light…i’m as disgusted as anyone with this team for the past 10+ years…but, I think the defense can be a top unit, we have a solid group of starting backs and receivers. The key is the OL yes + the QB. 3 starters away on paper > QB-LT-RG…

I really despise the hoopla over the schedule. We know the opponents. When barely matters for us.
April 21st, 2015 at 2:38 pm
I’d like to see Dallas here to open the season. I figure the Bucs stand little chance of beating them whenever they are scheduled. The first game could be on the road. My early corny prediction is the Bucs will win at least one game at home this year. I always anticipate the release of the regular season schedule, today the same.

When I read the headline I thought you got yesterday and today confused. #420

I dont get this either, been watching NFL network and everyone been sh!!!!tting their pants over the NFL schedule, at this point I dont really care, sure it’ll be nice to see, but they are taking themselves way to seriously right now
April 21st, 2015 at 3:52 pm
Whatever our schedule is, I’m sure it will be brutal.
April 21st, 2015 at 3:54 pm
Go Bucs!
April 21st, 2015 at 4:03 pm
Dirk Koetter is good, but he can only work with the offensive players he’s given.
And he needs at least 3-4 starters added.
The defense is in worse shape. It needs about six players.
By the halfway point, fans will want Dirk Koetter fired, even though it won’t be deserved.

Absolutely insane that they make a spectacle out of a freaking schedule relase. Who the fck cares. I am a hardcore Bucs fan but the schedule release is one thing that I have absolutely zero interest. Why in the hell would I care in April if the Bucs play the Saints in September or Nivember. A 3 hour special on this garbage? Holy Christ!
April 21st, 2015 at 5:46 pm
We’re opening at home against the Titans. I’m guessing this was done for the potential draw of a Winston-Mariota match-up right out of the gate.
April 21st, 2015 at 5:47 pm
Titans vs bucs week 1? Is that true? Too good to be true.
April 21st, 2015 at 6:08 pm
Yea titans week 1? also bears at home week 16
April 21st, 2015 at 6:15 pm
As far as the Lightning matchup with Detroit, the Bolts seem to be the better team and tonite is a game they need to win. Three out of the next four are in Detroit, losing the first game at home makes this game a big one.

Going to see Mr. Luck!!!!

WHO CARES THE BUCS SUCK… GO LIGHTNING
