Finally. Rejoice Bucs fans, finally the Bucs have a franchise quarterback.
Tonight, Team Glazer, Jason Licht and Lovie Smith did the right thing, the smart thing, the only thing. They selected the best quarterback in the draft, Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston.
Joe cannot tell you how he truly feels right now. Never did Joe dream the Bucs would have a shot at Winston. But by the decree of a Higher Authority, it has happened. The heavens parted and upon the skies came the Chosen One.
So it shall be written; so it shall be said: The Bucs have a franchise quarterback.
Finally.

Darkest day in franchise history. Doubt if he’ll ever see the field. I’ll root for him as a fan, but my expectations couldn’t be any lower. I’ve never seen a number one draft choice who garnered so little enthusiasm from the panels on espn and NFL network. Again, we are the laughing stock of the league and have the fourth best quarterback in the NFC South.

Firing a Super Bowl winning coach, poor draft choices year after year, refusal to spend money, Raheem, and the Rutgers experience. This was the correct pick for our personnel and coaching staff. Perhaps it won’t work out but that is the risk with all draft picks (even MM who has a lot to prove himself). For those alleged “fans” who now say they’ve lost all respect for the team because of the pick and will root for someone else, prove you have these ethics you claim to care so much about.
