Don’t Buy Neighbors Bucs Tickets

The Bucs have sunk so low it is a crime to buy tickets for your neighbors in Hernando County. Well, sort of.

A Good Samaritan trying to be be a nice guy apparently has turned his neighbors against him. Surprisingly, the Bucs are in the middle of this friends-turned-criminals spat.

A Spring Hill man decided to buy his neighbors Bucs tickets. Maybe for a late Christmas present or a birthday present or just being neighborly. A kind gesture, right?

Only problem was, Anthony James David used his same neighbors’ credit cards to buy the tickets, unauthorized, alleges Hernando County authorities. Here’s an excerpt from The Tampa Tribune report.

In January, the victims reported a Best Buy gift card and a Discover card were stolen from their home and they suspected David, who they knew as Anthony Sagglioca. On Jan. 9, the victim’s discover card was used to buy flowers from a florist, food from Panera Bread, legal services from an attorney and services from PayPal and Verizon, deputies say.

The victims also learned that their Best Buy gift cards were used at stores in Spring Hill and New Port Richey between Dec. 22 and Jan. 8. Davis was positively identified in surveillance video from the Best Buy stores, the florist and Panera, deputies said.

Detectives received statements from the Bucs and learned the victims’ credit card was used to buy season tickets and individual game tickets for a total of $608, deputies said. In total, David charged $2,969.38 on the victim’s credit card and used $100 worth of stolen gift cards, deputies said.

Joe is guessing the legal services bill will actually come in handy.

This highlights what Joe has been writing for months. The Bucs have become a woebegone franchise, as evidenced by their 2-14 record, their dreadful play, and winning the Chase for Jameis.

If the Bucs do what neanderthals want, and trade down and, for the second straight year, pass on drafting a quarterback they need worse than Joe needs a cold beer on a July Friday afternoon, the Bucs effectively will have chased away an entire generation of fans.

Bucs fans, and former Bucs fans, now find it a crime to buy them tickets to a game, this team has sunk to such a low depth. Doing the right thing and drafting Jameis Winston will restore pride in the team and save the franchise from rank apathy.

    LOL….Yungry

  5. LovieDovieLicht-pick Says:

While the Dallas Cowboys have been reported to be a Peterson favorite destination, the running back prefers five teams: the Arizona Cardinals, the Indianapolis Colts, the Cowboys, the San Diego Chargers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That said, even if Peterson requested a trade, the Vikings could refuse and simply pay him the $12.75 million in base salary he’s due in the 2015 season.

MAKE IT HAPPEN LICHT….MAKE IT HAPPEN

In my best Gene Deckerhoff voice…”Winston fakes the hand off to peterson and throws a bomb downfield to evans….Touchdwon Tampa bay, Fire those Cannons”

is this why patrick is quiet?

  8. bucrightoff Says:

Trading for AP = Horrible decision, Licht and Lovie should be fired on the spot if they do it

Drafting a QB = Irrelevant. Jameis going 4-12 is not putting more people in the seats than any QB ever going 10-6. So no, drafting a QB unto itself means nothing.

Drafting a QB and having him bust = Death of (what’s left) of the fanbase, London likely the next Bucs home.

  9. lurker Says:

jameis christ is walking on tampa bay to resurrect the franchise.

  10. lurker Says:

    jameis christ for qb.

If we trade down I demand a refund on my season tickets !!! I will be there at the draft party I will lose my shit.

    Speaking for Pablo

“Pablo would like Joe to be a bit more sensitive….describing someone as “neanderthal” may be a direct affront to Knuckledragger”….one of Pablo’s best JBF friends. Pablo has also taken liberties with OPC “other people’s cards” on occaision…but Pablo would spend the money on something far more worthwhile than Buc tickets….Now if the Bucs draft a QB, Pablo might change his purchasing habits”

I once hung out with Warren Sapp and used his credit card to buy us some hookers. Unauthorized. He never said a peep!

  14. Buccfan37 Says:

How much longer will the Bucs home games be televised on local network TV without paying an arm and a leg to watch them? Unrelenting greed will catch up to the more money direction of all sports programming. I’m surprised radio is still free to listen to.

  15. Espo Says:

Credit card theft and fraud happens all day every day. I’m just happy it was finally used for something good like Bucs tickets.

  16. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

Trade Martin even up for Peterson. I like Martin, but he ain’t no AP.

  17. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

Vikings should have to cover at least half his salary.

  18. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @ Bonzai

Can teams do that in the NFL?……cover salaries…I know it’s done all the time in MLB….

  19. Flmike Says:

No, teams cannot cover any portion of a traded players salary, the contract goes with the player to the gaining team. Hence, no cash for player trades like you have in MLB.

  20. ddneast Says:

Joe, you sound like you have been sharing suds with Robert 9 after a hard days work of polishing Mark Domick’s BMW that he is going to have to sell now that he can’t afford it.
All of your post sounds just like Robert 9 logic. Were you running out of material to post.
If not, perhaps you ought to get a sponsor.

  21. TurnDownForWhat Says:

While I know Joe is using this incident to disparage the team they cover and are allegedly fans of – it’s not illegal to buy Bucs tickets. Its illegal to steal someone’s credit card and make all kinds of charges against it including buying tickets.

Terrible attention seeking click bait article.

  22. pick6 Says:

sounds like further evidence of jameis winston being a shameful human being. if the bucs weren’t considering drafting jameis this wouldn’t have happened.

  23. poorglennon Says:

The biggest fraud. The team they had to watch….the yuks
