Jameis Watch: Open Thread, Gators-Noles
November 29th, 2014Crab-legs-stealing, BB-gun-shooting, obscenity-hollering, Heisman-Trophy-winning, national champion James Winston, the pride of Florida State University, continues to look like a much better quarterback prospect than Mike Glennon and Josh McCown.
It’s Joe’s daily nugget on the Jameis Watch, celebrating the best quarterback to wear No. 5 ever in the state of Florida.
Joe’s already predicted the Seminoles’ first loss. No, Joe is NOT a Gators fan.
Bang your comments here all game long. It should be a good one.
November 29th, 2014 at 3:42 pm
GO FLORIDA GATORS!!, win this game for all the droves of fans in the Tampa Bay area.
November 29th, 2014 at 3:46 pm
I think you are right Joe. I don’t see FSU winning this game. Too many close calls and I think Florida ends the streak tonight. Too bad because I was looking forward to seeing FSU in the playoff.
November 29th, 2014 at 4:43 pm
Lets get this party started!
It’s GREAT TO BE A FLORIDA GATOR!!
November 29th, 2014 at 4:55 pm
GO GATORS!!!!
November 29th, 2014 at 4:58 pm
Mariotta anyone?
November 29th, 2014 at 5:03 pm
More and more the QB position comes to the fore. Jameis is the star with pressure. The guy so many Buc fans lust for in the draft.
Ironically it’s probably the QB position that did as much to cost Muschamp his job as anything else. Muschamp never found a competent SEC quality QB and it cost him. Having said that he clearly was not a bad recruiter. Outside of QB the Gators are matching up well against the Noles. The next man in for the Gators will have plenty of talent to work with, just look at the young defensive backs..a freshmen with two ints in this game already and he isn’t even the star.
Meanwhile Lovie faces the same problem with the Bucs. He better find a QB and do it soon or he’ll go the way of Muschamp.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:04 pm
2 INTs in the forst 5 attempts….Yeah lets draft Winston….really starting to look like the next Joe Montana.
MARIOTA or BUST!!!
November 29th, 2014 at 5:06 pm
Winston with two picks in half the first quarter. Gators better add to the early lead.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:06 pm
Bucs fans forget Winston, Ohio state qb Barrett is better without being a thug. I’m starting a draft Barrett mob
November 29th, 2014 at 5:07 pm
Is he going to be able to play again?
Always remember, spread-option quarterbacks often need a large learning curve in the NFL.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:08 pm
Jt
November 29th, 2014 at 5:09 pm
What do you think Marriott is?
November 29th, 2014 at 5:14 pm
Look at the stats between Barrett and Winston, it’s not even close
November 29th, 2014 at 5:15 pm
Is it just me or am I hearing Freshman used a lot in describing the players making these big plays for Florida?
November 29th, 2014 at 5:20 pm
StPete,
You are hearing correctly.
The cupboards will not be bare for the new Head Gator.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:23 pm
Wow! Just WOW!!! Don’t know if the Bucs will draft Famous Jameis or not but this will be a game that gets national attention.
The Noles may very well pull this out but Jameis can forget a second Heisman.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:25 pm
Case closed Winston sucks an the holes play no one
November 29th, 2014 at 5:25 pm
Gator fans you can correct me because you obviously know more than me. But it just seems that Muschamp can recruit, he can game plan, but he produces chokers. I’m wondering if he’s simply too intense and his players just play too tight. What say ye Gator fans?
November 29th, 2014 at 5:26 pm
Barrett, Barrett, barrett
November 29th, 2014 at 5:27 pm
“shoot, poop, dang it, son of a gun, gosh darn it”
-Lovie
November 29th, 2014 at 5:29 pm
Wonder what the over under is on picks in this game.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:32 pm
StPete,
Muschamp is definitely intense. But, his expertise is on the defensive side.
Kind of like Lovie. I think he is just too conservative on the offensive side.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:34 pm
The gators are like the Bucs of this year. 3 picks and Winston has thrown for 6 yeards yet the Gators lead by 2 tiny little points. The Noles will win this game and Winston will right the ship, its just a question of how much the Noles win by.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:35 pm
Thank DP. And nice comparison between Muschamp and Lovie.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:36 pm
BTW Cmurda and DP. Muschamp has something else in common with the Bucs and Lovie. He has never found an SEC quality QB. Hard to win when the most important position is understaffed. See the 2014 Bucs!
November 29th, 2014 at 5:39 pm
And some of you guys want Winston to be our QB? L to the O to the L
November 29th, 2014 at 5:43 pm
Jt Barrett forget it. I’d rather just draft o-line guys and roll with mg. mariotta looks legit. Winston I’m down on. He plays in college for fsu and has more pics than Tds almost. What’s he gonna do in nfl with bucs o-line?
November 29th, 2014 at 5:45 pm
Freeman part 2. I don’t care if he wins in a blowout he blows!!
Against Bama, Oregon, etc at least 21-24-0
November 29th, 2014 at 5:47 pm
StPete,
You’re absolutely right. He thought he had one with Driskel. But that’s where scouts can have premature evaluations. Driskel was the #1 ranked High School QB in the Nation coming out in 2010.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:51 pm
What about Harris DP? He’s only a freshman but do you think he has what it takes to mature into an SEC QB?
And FSU fans…what happens when Jameis leaves?
Ah the story of Florida football right now is all QB’s. Can the Bucs find one in the draft or will they wait a year? Can FSU find a great QB recruit to replace Jameis or do you have one on the roster? Florida has to determine if Harris is the real deal and poor USF…they truly resemble the Bucs…no QB and they suck all over the field,.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:51 pm
Brent Barrett much better than either Winston or marriotta. It plays a better schedule and has better stats. I agree lets draft lines on both sides not qbs
November 29th, 2014 at 5:52 pm
FSU is beginning to smell it. Florida better step up with this drive or the game could slip away from them
November 29th, 2014 at 5:53 pm
Patrick I agree winston = freeman
November 29th, 2014 at 5:54 pm
Wow
November 29th, 2014 at 5:55 pm
StPete,
The few games I’ve seen Harris in,he looks like he could be the real deal.
He originally committed to FSU but changed his mind at the last second.
November 29th, 2014 at 6:01 pm
Dammit man. The Gators really do remind me of the Bucs with all their stupid penalties.
November 29th, 2014 at 6:03 pm
And some people wonder why I drink so much.
November 29th, 2014 at 6:06 pm
Name is will be a good to great qb in the NFL. You can never predict what will happen when someone gets paid millions but I would bet money Winston handles it better than Free. He has poise and is never rattled. He throws 3 picks then plays like it never happened.
He is a natural leader and competitor. Just has “it” when it comes to winning football games. He might not have other qb’s numbers but no one has his win percentage. Either your anti FSU or anti winning if you don’t want him on your team.
November 29th, 2014 at 6:09 pm
Muschamp Put all his eggs in the Jeff driskel basket..
November 29th, 2014 at 6:09 pm
Florida is not doing a good job holding FSU’s running game in check.
November 29th, 2014 at 6:14 pm
Where’s Don Merideth to sing that little ditty about the lights?
November 29th, 2014 at 6:14 pm
Jameis makes you think Mariotti, then you say damn, because when he is on, he is on. Buc’em, take’em
November 29th, 2014 at 6:14 pm
Nice!!
Needed that.
November 29th, 2014 at 6:17 pm
BucFan37,
It’s still too early to be singing.
November 29th, 2014 at 6:19 pm
“Either your anti FSU or anti winning if you don’t want him on your team.”
No that’s simply not true. Many people who desperately want the Bucs to win simply believe that “Famous” Jameis is simply too big of an off field risk.
There are some who believe against NFL competition the slow starts and incredible number of interceptions against amateurs will be too much to overcome against NFL quality defenses
You can disagree with those opinions but that doesn’t make those who hold them anti FSU or anti winning.
November 29th, 2014 at 6:23 pm
OK how many chokes in that first half?
The drop kickoff by the Nole return man was pretty brutal.
The lack of the catch by the Florida TE is my nominee for biggest or at least most costly choke. That was at minimum a ten and maybe a 14 point swing.
Let’s see who holds it together in the second half. Can you imagine the pressure on these teams?
November 29th, 2014 at 6:27 pm
Can somebody clarify the playoffs for me. Are the final three games,,semis and championships all on neutral fields? I’m thinking they’ve just taken three bowl games and assigned the top 4 teams to play it off in those three Bowl games.
Is that correct? Will officials be neutral. IE Does the seeding at the end even matter.
With GA Tech’s win over UGA that game against the Jackets on the road looms large for the Noles if they get past today.
And you can tell I’m no Nole homer but what’s fair is fair. The Noles are the defending champions. Until somebody beats them they should have been #1. Not really a big deal since ultimately it will be decided on the field. But if FSU suffers any challenges due to how the final four are decided because of where they are ranked that’s absurd. If the Noles hang on today and beat GA Tech they clearly deserve to go into the post season playoff seeded #1
November 29th, 2014 at 6:32 pm
Dave Pear… with FSU’s record for coming back in games, I’d be shocked to see the Gators prevail in this game. Shocked I tell ya, but it would be out of character for FSU and a pleasant shock.
November 29th, 2014 at 6:44 pm
Winston does look like freeman 2.0 today indeed
November 29th, 2014 at 6:46 pm
Wow DP. Have another belt. Bucs redux indeed. Move the ball, threaten and then a stupid holding penalty. This is what I expect to see tomorrow against the Bengals.
November 29th, 2014 at 6:47 pm
OK Noles fans. It’s Jameis time!!!
November 29th, 2014 at 6:53 pm
The Gators should be up by 27-14 at least. But, they are down 21-19.
That’s reality. I drink to escape reality.
November 29th, 2014 at 6:59 pm

Dang. Now the yellow fever is hitting both teams. Zebras are getting too involved in this game.
November 29th, 2014 at 7:13 pm
Damn U Poole..lol
November 29th, 2014 at 7:13 pm
Forget the off field issues. At some point won’t all these ints effect Jameis draft stock?
November 29th, 2014 at 7:13 pm
Nice play Poole!
November 29th, 2014 at 7:13 pm
High quality turnover machine there

November 29th, 2014 at 7:19 pm
@Dave Pear
lol..Yeah Buddy
November 29th, 2014 at 7:22 pm
Sorry DP but you guys have committed too many stupid penalties. I’m not talking about the holdings etc. FSU is getting busted as well, but the cheap shots out of bounds and running your mouth for another 15 yards in a critical situation just don’t cut it.
I blame all of this on coaching the same as with Lovie and the Bucs. He should have sent a message and benched ASF after the hot dog Cpt Morgan move and called Evans in and laid down the law as well.
Urban Meyer interviewed before OSU’s game against Michigan was asked about this kind of stuff in the intense rivalry game. He said he addressed it clearly and told them any player who throws a punch will be pulled for the rest of the game. That’s the way you do it!!!
Muschamp screams a lot at his players but they still lack discipline and smarts.
November 29th, 2014 at 7:23 pm
This smells a lot like the Jameis open thread of many weeks now. Everyone lambastes Winston and all he does is win. He’s having a bad game. Very true but he has that “it” factor when it’s crunch time. This game is shaping up as a sample of that. I’m by no means an FSU fan, I’m the reverse USF, but I give credit where credit is due and Winston is a gamer.
November 29th, 2014 at 7:23 pm
All good point StPete
November 29th, 2014 at 7:24 pm
StPete,
Yep. And now Muschamp is gone. I agree with you. No discipline.
Oh waitress! I’ll take another.
November 29th, 2014 at 7:24 pm

November 29th, 2014 at 7:24 pm
4 Ints So far. By all means draft Winston and suck for 4 more years.
November 29th, 2014 at 7:26 pm
Joe liking Winston is another example of Joe not knowing anything about QB talent.
November 29th, 2014 at 7:29 pm
DP
Lucky you’re a beer man!!! I’m a Grey Goose or Belvedere man and so I’d be trashed if I was you by now. 🙂
November 29th, 2014 at 7:29 pm
Great tackle on the fake. If that guy doesn’t make the tackle he’s got a first down and more.
November 29th, 2014 at 7:33 pm
BTW It’s obvious I’m not exactly a Jameis fan. But he has talent and there’s no doubt about that. Right now his ankle is slowing him and probably messing with his passing motion. I give him some slack. OTOH he is playing on an incredibly talented team. They may not be as loaded as last year’s national champs but they are incredibly talented.
You Nole fans keep selling yourselves short! You are sooo much more than just Jameis. Your running backs, including the freaking freshman have been exceptional and they’re doing it against a stout defense, Your offensive line may literally be better than the Bucs right now! And your defense doesn’t suck either.
November 29th, 2014 at 7:36 pm
Lol Wide Right…lol…Luv it
November 29th, 2014 at 7:36 pm
Poor DP. Dude if I was there I’d buy your next round.
November 29th, 2014 at 7:38 pm
Ouch. Misses again. First 4 looked nice. Last 2, not so much. You don’t win games when you dont score TD’s. I’ve been trying to tell the Bucs this for several years.
November 29th, 2014 at 7:40 pm
Gotta Throw it now Famous
November 29th, 2014 at 7:40 pm
Why is there an ACC crew calling this game. Shouldn’t be SEC either. They can’t arrange with another conference for independent refs.
I’m not suggesting they are effecting the game or have homered the Gators in any way. I think they’ve been impartial. But I’m getting sick of the yellow flags against both teams.
November 29th, 2014 at 7:40 pm
Florida State getting lucky again!
November 29th, 2014 at 7:40 pm

November 29th, 2014 at 8:04 pm
Sorry DP. Your guys made it a game.
November 29th, 2014 at 8:07 pm
Like I thought, FSU won the game in the end, but for whoever ends up coaching the Gators, they are 1 Quarterback away from being a force. The young core is already there.
November 29th, 2014 at 8:08 pm
#1
November 29th, 2014 at 8:09 pm
Remember, there’s no ‘I’ in team, but there is a ‘me’ in JaMEis
November 29th, 2014 at 8:09 pm
@DB55
Yes Sirrrrr
November 29th, 2014 at 8:13 pm
You can’t beat FSU withouut scoring multiple TD’s.
November 29th, 2014 at 8:24 pm
“whoever ends up coaching the Gators, they are 1 Quarterback away from being a force.”
Agree Cmurda. Of course if Jameis is coming out then we could say the same thing about the Noles. And being a QB away can be a real challenge.
We could say this about the Bucs and some seem to be doing that on these Jameis threads, but alas IMO unlike the Noles or Gators the Bucs are far more than just a QB away.
November 29th, 2014 at 8:27 pm
Florida State escapes losses like they escape criminal charges.
November 29th, 2014 at 8:28 pm
@St Pete,
I agree. We are more than a QB away. We are a QB away, D Line help, and O Line help away. The rest of the pieces are there. I still trust martin. Rainey didn’t do anything special and our coaches aren’t even trying to run the ball because our O Line stinks.
November 29th, 2014 at 8:28 pm
StPeteBucsFan, I had the same thought, listening on radio. But they didn’t seemto favor either team.
A strange, herky-jerky sort of game , it sounded like.
November 29th, 2014 at 8:32 pm
StPeteBucsFan, ever tried Skyy or Absolut??They did well in ratings from this site:
http://www.proof66.com/
November 29th, 2014 at 8:35 pm
Yeah Mike there was not a lot of flow to the second half. Of course the TV analysts said that both QB’s were miserable and that contributed to the lack of quality play.
I saw lots of great individual efforts and talented athletes and I think the game’s final score probably reflected the reality of the game. FSU is better than Florida right now and probably only because their QB play is better. Their OL play was better as well but that was largely upperclassmen with lots of experience going against UF’s younger DL.
Good game. Congrats to both Noles and Gators. Now we can root for the Noles next week against GA Tech and then hopefully watch them crush Saban and Alabama. I truly dislike Bama!!!!
November 29th, 2014 at 8:40 pm
Mike J
Funny you should ask. Once my wife had one of her old USF college girlfriends and her mom over for a Vodka blind test. I always make fun of the wine snobs who pay so much. I’m a doubting Thomas at most things.
And so the four us set up a blind test with Grey Goose, Belvedere, Kettle One, Smirnoff, Absolute and Finlandia.
We couldn’t separate the top two or bottom two but all four us clearly identified Grey Goose and Belevedere as the smoothest although the four of us had no consensus on which of those two was best, just that they were clearly better than 3rd place Ketel and pretty far ahead of both Smirnoff and Absolute and Finlandia. We couldn’t separate the last three.
So now if it’s Vodka rocks or a Martini it’s Grey Goose or Belevedere, if we put a mixer in it, cranberry or tonic we settle for Ketel which is still quite smooth if you’re not drinking it straight up on the rocks.
November 29th, 2014 at 9:06 pm
Joe, Winston tried to give Floriduh the game but they couldn’t capitalize but good prediction as always.
November 29th, 2014 at 9:09 pm
Now, that’s an informative post SPBF
November 29th, 2014 at 9:13 pm
That’s interesting. It’s like to me, when it comes to bourbon,I can’t tell the diff between Jack & the much cheaper Ezra Brooks.
I drink mostly gin nowadays.
November 29th, 2014 at 9:14 pm
I am looking forward to watching M.M. in a couple minutes. OTA, yay!!!
November 29th, 2014 at 9:16 pm
F* Winston draft Cook.
November 29th, 2014 at 9:31 pm
Winston looks more like josh freeman. Stares down his wrs constantly and has that horrendous release. And was a scumbag off the field.
November 29th, 2014 at 9:34 pm
Winston throws 4 picks. Then FSU wins by the skin of their teeth. Then knuckleheads want to post “all Winston does is win”. Are you friggin kidding me? FSU’s won but Winston’s draft stock went down considerably.
November 29th, 2014 at 9:46 pm
After this game, I really don’t know who I want the bucs to draft. Winston tends to rely too much on his arm and makes mistakes because of it, but is clutch as heck and recovers from mistakes. Where as Mariota doesn’t really make any costly mistakes, but has yet to show he can be clutch or recover when he does make them. Its hard to say, but I think i’d take Mariota.
November 29th, 2014 at 9:50 pm
Blake Good post. I IS hard to say for any “thoughtful” person. But I get it’s Florida and Nole fans are justifiably pumped up over their title and the chance to repeat. Just not sure they’re the most objective.
I suspect anybody who is CERTAIN we should or should not take Famous Jameis.
If we are all honest whoever we take will be a crap shoot.
November 29th, 2014 at 9:52 pm
I’m a Crown Royal fan myself. Straight up on the rocks, no b.s. in it. I can appreciate Crown Maple once in a while and am eager to try Crown Apple, but I usually like the good ole original.
November 29th, 2014 at 9:52 pm
Mike Glennon Sucks and Loses. Winston Sucks and Wins. Object of game is Wins.

So funny and exactly.. Why zero people on this board have any jobs scouting. Btw me 2.. If that was Oregon, bama, tcu, etc down 24-0 at least. Stu Winston people freeman was was so much better with so much less in college!!
November 29th, 2014 at 9:57 pm
To be fair I’m watching Mariota tonight and it’s tough to judge. The O State defense is a far cry from the Gators D. With that said, he looks sharp but the uniforms are painful to watch.
November 29th, 2014 at 9:59 pm
“Winston people freeman was was so much better with so much less in college!!”
Hilarious!
November 29th, 2014 at 10:01 pm
Really 187 wannabe?
November 29th, 2014 at 10:04 pm
@Blake,
I think Jameis has relied on his arm the last 4-5+ games because he has a bad wheel.
November 29th, 2014 at 10:06 pm
Winston is an interception machine…that $hit will not work in the NFL period. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just a noles fan with their head stuck up winstons ass. Why dont you tell me what the pregame meal was 87.
November 29th, 2014 at 10:07 pm
Mariota watch in full effect
November 29th, 2014 at 10:16 pm
oh please pick Mariota
November 29th, 2014 at 10:19 pm
and bring somebody from Oregon to implement offense
November 29th, 2014 at 10:29 pm
Let’s take best player and I don’t think this will be QB in top 5.
November 29th, 2014 at 10:45 pm
Joe only talks about Winston. I want mariota and so should everyone else. He’s the better prospect. To me he’s Russell Wilson off the field and on it with his dual threat abilities. Just taller.
November 29th, 2014 at 10:59 pm
Christopher says:
‘Joe only talks about Winston. I want mariota and so should everyone else. He’s the better prospect. To me he’s Russell Wilson off the field and on it with his dual threat abilities. Just taller.’
I wholeheartedly agree. And Marriota might even have more athleticism and potential than Wilson. I say no thanks to Winston. There’s a few guys I’d rather have than Winston.
November 29th, 2014 at 11:02 pm
One half of Marcus and Famous doesn’t really seem as acccurate or smooth.
Here is a great idea for a TV show from an old dude who used to be a TV sportscaster…oops I think it’s already been done! LOL
Let’s get Chucky to do a special QB show at the end of the season. Not where he teases and sucks up to top prospects but where he runs Jameis tape right next to Marcus tape and tells us all the strengths and weaknesses of each player.
Jameis is on a bad wheel and so I hesitate to throw him totally under the bus.
But Marcus not only seems to see the field a lot better an put the ball where it should be..IE not in the defensive back’s hands…he’s clearly a better runner.
And that’s not a slam on Jameis who is also an excellent runner and very mobile but more of props for Marcus.
Mariotta moves like a crosss between Kaepernik and Aaron Rodgers IMO AR may be the best or should I say most effective runner in the league. He’s sneaky fast, smooth as silk, and makes great judgement about when to run. It takes more than simple speed, strength and shiftiness…judgement counts as well.
Mariotta seems to possess it all and he has a second gear when it comes to speed. He can actually run away from some DB’s when he kicks it up a notch.
And like Rodgers he is very smooth and picks his spots well.
Mariotta is smooth and refined, Jameis is a physical specimen who is strong and can throw the ball out of the stadium.
If I had to pick after tonight it would be no contest. But Jameis still has the ACC championship and two more games to prove himself. Right now though I lean to Mariotta. Add the off field issues and the choice becomes even easier.
The Bucs should have time to break in a new QB. MG or Josh will be caretakers at the start of a season where we have NO chance at any real post season success. Next year will be a full on rebuilding year whether we want to admit it or not.
Give someone like Mariotta a little tme to adjust and he could be the guy.

Why draft Winston ? Just sign josh freeman kid is a bust will throw to many int’s in the nfl stares down wr’s
November 29th, 2014 at 11:18 pm
Winston yet again barely gets by an unranked team at home. No way in hell should the Bucs consider using a top five pick on this guy.

Mariota lighting up Oregon state !! Mariota looks 10 times better than Winston did against Florida! Still need to see how both players perform in championship games and playoffs. From what I’ve seen so far I like Mariota !

Whining!
November 29th, 2014 at 11:23 pm
I’ll take Mariota in a heartbeat too…but the Gator whining on this thread is incessant.
Winston can stay in school and piss everyone off for another year if he likes.
November 29th, 2014 at 11:23 pm
If bucs want Winston fine but trade down to pick 25 and pick him no way he is worth a top 5 pick.

Jesus, Mariota looks awesome. Kid is a beast.
November 29th, 2014 at 11:44 pm
They should sit Mariota. No need to play him now.
November 29th, 2014 at 11:55 pm
Winston faces the best defense he will see all year and has his worst game? Looks like a Lovie Smith QB to me.

HATERS SAY WHAT? I understand how bad the pain is. Nothing eats away at you like burnt desire. You look to arrange words in away that will extinguish the burning pain. Perhaps a pacifier will do? Maybe! The truth: Jameis Winston is undefeated. I will late him.

Smooth and refined is exactly what this team needs for a change. I vote Mariota.

StPeteBucsFan,FSU has commitments from 3 four-star QB’s for 2015, & one five-star for 2016.

cmurda.I have never sampled Crown; a tad pricey for my taste. Sipping, I am likely to get some Evan Wms. or Paul Masson VSOP;value boozes.

Wait one got damn minute any of you idiots that said that Freeman had no one to throw to in college just don’t watch football. I mean he was only throwing it to Jordy Nelson and he would dump it off to little Brandon Banks who would take it 80 yards and that’s just off the top of my head smdh
November 30th, 2014 at 9:34 am
Marriota is running the damn spread Lmao. Again those windows are not going to be as open in the NFL you idiots. Just show me one throw where you was like wow what a throw. The running qb trend vanished in a hurry in the NFL but you’ll eyes haven’t caught up to that yet.
November 30th, 2014 at 9:49 am
Winston has already mastered the back shoulder throw. How old is he again lolol?? He will get paid to see d lineman dropping, safeties playing robber or linebackers buzzing the flats next year in the NFL. You can teach that with film. But you can’t teach his ball placement.
November 30th, 2014 at 10:26 am
Iamking, he had such good ball placement that he threw it to the other team 4 times?
November 30th, 2014 at 10:34 am
Winston has been too carless with the ball all year…as far as him learning not to throw pics picks once he’s in the nfl….sure….they can teach anyone to be a great qb in the nfl, thats why every team has a qb that plays like Peyton, all you have to do is watch film. I won’t evwn respond to the idiots who have nothing to say but he’s undefeated….you’re not smart enough to argue with siminoles fan.

I’m tickled that people want Mariotta instead of Winston. All they look at are plays and stats. But they ignore stats and their own eyes when looking at Winston. Winston has a better stat than Mariotta. Wins. and he’s played in more games the last 2 years and won more, against better teams.
People compare him to Russell Wilson? He’s a CLONE of RG3. A clone.
November 30th, 2014 at 10:48 am
For a while I thought Jameis was Vince Young 2.0. The more I watch him, the more I see Freeman 2.0. Avoid this loser like the plague. Mariota is the only QB worth drafting in the first 15 picks.
November 30th, 2014 at 11:27 am
Joe I think you picked the wrong team to end FSU’s streak. I think that team is going to be the Yellow Jackets.
November 30th, 2014 at 11:39 am
I wish people would stop it with the “He just wins garbage”. All Tebow did was win and I certainly don’t want him. “Wins” in college doesn’t always translate to NFL QB. I have no doubt that Winston is certainly an NFL ready QB but for me, I would take Mariota over him in a second. More dynamic and less of a worry for my team. If Mariota isn’t available then you pretty much have no choice.
