Jameis Watch: Mocking The Champ

November 20th, 2014

Crab-legs-stealing, BB-gun-shooting, obscenity-hollering, Heisman-Trophy-winning, national champion James Winston, the pride of Florida State University, continues to look like a much better quarterback prospect than Mike Glennon and Josh McCown.

It’s Joe’s regular nugget on the Jameis Watch, celebrating the best quarterback to wear No. 5 ever in the state of Florida.

Yes, as unreal talented as Jameis Winston is, he has pulled dumb moves with equal prowess. From allegedly getting handsy with the women to shooting out windows with a BB gun to climbing onto a table near female co-eds and barking out lewd profanities, Winston is equal parts eye-popping on the field and scary off the field.

Recently, comedian Kevin Hart got to meet the reigning national champion football squad in Tallahassee, and when he met Winston, he had choice words for the Heisman Trophy winner in front of Winston’s teammates. See the hilarious exchange below.

    “We Are The Champions”

    I’ve paid my dues
    Time after time.
    I’ve done my sentence
    But committed no crime.
    And bad mistakes ‒
    I’ve made a few.
I’ve had my share of sand kicked in my face
    But I’ve come through.

(And I need just go on and on, and on, and on)

We are the champions, my friends,
And we’ll keep on fighting ’til the end.
    We are the champions.
    We are the champions.
    No time for losers
‘Cause we are the champions of the world.

    I’ve taken my bows
    And my curtain calls
You brought me fame and fortune and everything that goes with it
    I thank you all

But it’s been no bed of roses,
    No pleasure cruise.
I consider it a challenge before the whole human race
    And I ain’t gonna lose.

(And I need just go on and on, and on, and on)

We are the champions, my friends,
And we’ll keep on fighting ’til the end.
    We are the champions.
    We are the champions.
    No time for losers
‘Cause we are the champions of the world.

Really? All Set????? You probably think we are all set for offensive linemen as well. LOL

  6. port richey george Says:

Charlie ward was and still is the greatest FSU QB.
Charlie had great character.he also won the
Heisman trophy. he was a ML baseball draftee.
    he played in the NBA.
he didn’t steal anything from the local grocery store.

  7. Tampabaybucfan Says:

How ’bout that poll, Joe…..another site is running one and Winston is not doing well at all against Mariota…..

But JFB is the authority on all things Bucs….so your poll would be far more respected.
(Trying to kiss Joe’s a$$ to get the poll)

  8. 87ForJameisOrMariota Says:

port richey george…I had season tickets in 93 and saw every game Uncle Charlie played in at FSU LIVE.

No way was Ward better than Winston’s 2013 season and it’s not even close Georgie boy.

  9. 87ForJameisOrMariota Says:

TBBF…Winston edges Mariota in QB poll per ESPN.

Winston was the choice of 41 percent of the FBS coaches, followed closely by Mariota (35 percent). UCLA’s Brett Hundley (9 percent), Baylor’s Bryce Petty (6 percent) and Penn State’s Christian Hackenberg (2 percent) rounded out the top five in the poll conducted by ESPN’s Brett McMurphy.

  10. Mr. Patrick Says:

Shouldn’t this post be called the “Turd Watch”?

  11. DB55 Says:

He was the Knicks best pg too.

  12. passthebuc` Says:

    Jameis Watch:

Not a good timepiece. it run’s too slow.

  13. Chris Says:

Joe, your rambling opening diatribe on all these posts (Jameis watch, everything about analysts from BSPN, etc.) is getting extremely tired. You need to put them to bed already.

  14. MTM Says:

    @Joe
Don’t let these so called Buc fans get in the way of your Winston bromance. I can’t wait for the next Winston story of the day.

  15. skelly Says:

I’m not a FSU fan. I’m not really a Jamis fan. But this guy is a kid who has made some mistakes. All would be the most talent we’ve had at that position in decades. I’d be happy with it. A guy who does nothing but win for a change would be nice

  16. Gooberville Says:

Quit wasting time on this junk or create another fsu website. I hate a Bucs site wastes so much energy especially when the season is in full swing. Yeah yeah I know it’s your site Joe but I don’t have to like it..

  17. Chef Paul for Brandon Scherff Says:

Of all the people, Colin Cowherd has convinced me, that we need Winston. His talent is just too great to not take a gamble on him. The NFL is all about gambling and taking chances in order to win. In the NFL, just like Vegas, if you only wait for sure things, you end up walking around the casino winning nothing. Sure you don’t lose anything either but there is nothing left to lose.

  18. gatrbuc17 Says:

All I can say is LOL

  19. Justin Says:

    Joe,

Don’t you think you should curb praising Jameis Winston until after his disciplinary hearing in December regarding his rape case? The hearing could result in serious punishment or expulsion, or even a reopening of the rape case based on his testimony..Is that the kind of person you want leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?

If we MUST talk about Winston, understand he’s a system qb. He can’t run a team by himself. His stats this year are evidence of that, as soon as he loses Kelvin Benjamin and Davonte Freeman, his performance declines. I’m not giving this anymore than it deserves. If it comes down to Winston or Mariota, you go Marcus 100% of the time..But they can’t take a QB 1st overall because they have so much offensive and defensive line issues, that you have to rebuild before throwing a rookie to the wolves.

  20. Love and Warrick Dunn Says:

    A SYSTEM QB?

A system QB is Marcus Mariotta. Winston is the exact opposite of system QB. He run a pro style set, can play under center, or in shotgun.

Of course his stats went down, name one QB who’s would not, after losing that many weapons to the NFL. But, the fact that he found a way to CARRY the team and still be undefeated shows that he is ready to carry the load in the NFL….

System QB…..that’s a good one! Thanks for the laugh!

  21. VeeJay24 Says:

    Winston a system QB?

Wow!!!! Don’t know much football do you. He has scored 30 pts in every game played and is 26-0 despite losing Benjamin, Freeman & a bunch of defensive players.

You see Mr. Justin, all those TD passes, passing yds & competions are fine & Famous Jameis and Mariota has them but the 1 stat that Jameis has that Mariota doesn’t is 26-0 and National Champion. Which to me sets them apart.

And everything that Love and Warrick Dunn said…………

Bucs, Take A Walk on the Wild Side; Pick Famous Jameis and let’s start winning!!!!!!!!
