“Frustration And Love” Got To Glennon Brother
November 5th, 2014In addition to stunning Bucs fans, the move to yank Mike Glennon from a starting job and re-insert Josh McCown seemed to stun Glennon’s brother.
His Twitter outburst yesterday confirmed that.
Today, Mike Glennon responded and defended his brother’s intent.
Mark Cook of PewterReport.com took notes and shared.
Glennon talked about his brother spilling the beans on the change with his cryptic tweet.
“Yeah, obviously it wasn’t what I wanted,” Mike Glennon said. “We talked about it and obviously he realizes he made a mistake, but he was doing it out of frustration and love for his brother.”
Glennon admitted he could have played better in order to keep a stranglehold on the starting job.
“Just win. That’s the bottom line,” Glennon said. “Quarterbacks are judged on wins and losses and there were a lot games there where we were right in it and we didn’t win. I am upset with our record and that is a reflection of my play. We need to win more games and that’s a reflection of the quarterback.”
Joe sure hopes the Glennon-McCown swap doesn’t divide the team in any way. That’s the last thing the Bucs need.
McCown has such little wiggle room here. Good or bad, like it or not, right or wrong, fair or unfair, the chants of “Glennon, Glennon, Glennon” at the Stadium on Dale Mabry Highway will be crazy loud if McCown can’t get the offense going.

I doubt that..
November 5th, 2014 at 3:47 pm
Loud from who, the 12 fans remaining after being down 35-0 at the end of the first quarter. ???
November 5th, 2014 at 3:50 pm
Fire Lovie!!! Let’s see how the locker room handles it. I’m sure McCown is not in sync with the receivers. Another loss another game. Whoopie!!!
November 5th, 2014 at 3:53 pm
Glennon will be getting out of here as fast as he can…..and there will will a log jam at the door…..this is the WORST chapter in Buccanneer history
November 5th, 2014 at 3:53 pm
They need to be chanting Winston Winston Winston….both of our QB’s suck…it’s way past time for change..
November 5th, 2014 at 3:54 pm
Chants for a peer career backup – outstanding!!!
November 5th, 2014 at 3:54 pm
I agree RastaMon!!!
November 5th, 2014 at 3:58 pm
So what does Lovie do if it’s 35-0 Falcons at the half?
November 5th, 2014 at 3:58 pm
Crazy loud chants? Only from the visiting fans who will outnumber Bucs fans, again. The Green Bay game is gonna be ridiculous, could be 60,000 Packer fans and 5,000 Bucs fans.

Chants for Glennon. Haha, sad times indeed
November 5th, 2014 at 4:02 pm
We get the chance to make another shtty team feel good about themselves this week. I bet the raiders beat us 10 out of 10 times here or there. By far the worst team in the league, especially with McStake under center.
November 5th, 2014 at 4:04 pm
Get the chants in the stands going boys. M-A-R-R-I-O-T-A
November 5th, 2014 at 4:04 pm
THROWIN SOMOAN
November 5th, 2014 at 4:05 pm
Dividing the team couldn’t be a bad thing because at least you would have two piles.
They are about as unified as confetti right now.
November 5th, 2014 at 4:09 pm
Blow up the whole thing, top to bottom. Bring in new coach, new GM.
Keep your 22 best players.
Draft a franchise quarterback. And hire Gary Kubiak to run the team.
November 5th, 2014 at 4:18 pm
I think the chants will be Jameis Jameis Jameis, no?
November 5th, 2014 at 4:24 pm
Mariota, Mariota, Mariota, Mariota, Mariota
November 5th, 2014 at 4:28 pm
I don’t know what to expect from McCown, record wise he is going up against what could be said is the worst team the Bucs have played in six weeks. The same team he laid an egg against in his last start. I do expect a much closer game this go round. I don’t care how he plays, it’s all close to meaningless right now. I’d rather see Glennon in there.
November 5th, 2014 at 4:35 pm
chants…lol
how do you chant with a bag on your head?
how do you divide a team that is already divided? i.e. you think one single player in that locker room does not think lovie is a moron? thats the division, between the coach and the team.
the team may have hated schiano, but at least he was a man. not s niveling coach who blames the players and plays word games while never taking any responsibility.
lovie clearly saw this as one last retirement check. truely a disgusting person.
can we get some provisions in the coaching contracts that say if you perform like this the contract is null and void?
November 5th, 2014 at 4:39 pm
Right. Cause Glennon was putting up 30pts per game? Oh. Guess i missed that.
3 basic throws last week that likely would’ve resulted in TDs.
November 5th, 2014 at 4:49 pm
We can’t lose track of the fact we need to suck for Winston.
November 5th, 2014 at 4:50 pm
They need to be chanting Winston Winston Winston
————————————————————-
Pretty sure Winston won’t want to come here and do everything in his power to see that doesn’t happen.
November 5th, 2014 at 4:52 pm
Interesting. When did he tell you this and where were you guys when this was discussed?
Or is this just like those “unnamed sources”?
November 5th, 2014 at 5:01 pm
That would be so amusing if the Tampa Bay fans started shouting the name Jameis Winston at the game on sunday. That would make SPORTS CENTER & NFL NETWORK for sure.

Joe said
“the chants of “Glennon, Glennon, Glennon” at the Stadium on Dale Mabry Highway will be crazy loud if McCown can’t get the offense going.”
…will it be as loud as the applause he got when he finally converted a 1st down a few games ago???
November 5th, 2014 at 5:18 pm
Jameis might pull an Andrew Luck and not want to play for one of the teams on the bottom. Remember Luck could very well have ended up in our division but he went back for his senior year, and Carolina took Cam instead. Could totally see Jameis wanting to avoid a dumpster fire like the Bucs or Raiders or Jets.
November 5th, 2014 at 6:22 pm
Doubt Raiders would take Winston. They are probably looking to trade back.

a more analytical assessment of glennons performance shows he carries the lowest YAC % to total yards thrown( approximately 31%),in the league. He isnt putting the ball where receivers can make big plays.Bridgewater for example has
200 more YAC yards than Glennon.Russel wilson is about 60 %

J. Winston is another THUG and a younger Ray Rice with his disrespect for women! He is not worth the risk.
Be fair to Lovie; he inherited a pewter plank nightmare and he needs another year to right the ship, stay tuned.
