Saints 37, Buccaneers 31 (OT)
October 5th, 2014The Bucs shot themselves in the foot with penalties and drops early, and they did the same thing late.
In between it was pretty good, but that’s meaningless for your cellar-dweller Buccaneers.
The Bucs are 1-4 with three division losses. Liquor stores will be busy tonight across the Tampa Bay area.
If Joe wasn’t heading to the unhappy SuperDome locker room, then Joe might have just taken a few hours off after this one. It hurt that much. What a kick in the groin.
How bout that -20-yard drive by the Bucs, ending in a safety, with Tampa Bay leading 31-26 midway through the fourth quarter? WTF. Total implosion.
The Bucs had 15 penalties for 113 yards. That’s nearly impossible to overcome on any day, let alone in the SuperDome.
The Tampa Bay defense got three picks of Drew Brees and still couldn’t stop the Saints from ringing up the scoreboard. New Orleans even won the game on the ground through overtime.
Sad, sad day.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:34 pm
Pos defense. Deservedly so. Get it ran right up your butts for the loss.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:34 pm
Leslie Frazier should be fired. How can you let them march right down the field on their first drive in Overtime? That was BUllSpit!!!
October 5th, 2014 at 4:34 pm
Bright side, Glennon killed it. He definitely earned his right to be starter.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:35 pm
LOVIE IS A JOKE!
October 5th, 2014 at 4:35 pm
What a terrible birthday present. Penalties all around
October 5th, 2014 at 4:35 pm
How in the hell do we let them score 17 straight points to our 0?!
October 5th, 2014 at 4:35 pm
Fire Leslie and Bonehead cost us a shot at winning bywith the illegal use of hands
October 5th, 2014 at 4:36 pm
they are who we thought they were!
lmao
October 5th, 2014 at 4:36 pm
Lovie has to take 100% responsibility. Discipline and this defense is on his shoulders and they both sucked today. Absolutely horrific.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:36 pm
Not sure how this defense is soft with David and McCoy, but it is.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:36 pm
Lovie and Frazier are overrated. This D is terribly soft.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:36 pm
They had every chance to win this game, over and over, and consistently made stupid penalties that killed drives and gave the game away.
This team didn’t deserve the win today. I’m f*ckin out
October 5th, 2014 at 4:36 pm
Not the fault of the QB. The last two drives he was given to win the game started with first and 20s instead of first and 10s. Too much for him (or most QBs) to overcome. Silly, costly penalties on the OL.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:36 pm
Poor glennon having to be on this crap team. Pray they trade you. Can’t win when your pathetic defense gives up 500 yards. You have no chance here.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:36 pm
Remember last year when everyone blamed Schiano for undisciplined play and penalties? LOVIE SUCKS! HE’S A JOKE!
October 5th, 2014 at 4:36 pm
Defense was awful. Now let’s be clear about one thing. The offense looks much better with Glennon in charge than McCown. Also, we would have beat the Panthers and Rams with Glennon starting those games.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:36 pm
No jimmy graham an already gun shy 3 interceptions on the day, screen passes and runs come on Frazier. WTH!?!?!
October 5th, 2014 at 4:36 pm
Ok is Barron that bad in coverage or is he covering Fletcher’s butt? Or both?
October 5th, 2014 at 4:36 pm
Gotta love the Bucs. When the choose to shoot themselves in the foot, they use a bazooka.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:37 pm
How many penalties??? 20???? Raheem had a better disciplined team.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:37 pm
Did Gerald McCoy play today or was he inactive?
October 5th, 2014 at 4:37 pm
Defense is an absolute joke. How do you let the saints pound the ball down your throats like that. Every pitch outside was a massive gain. Another lost season.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:37 pm
No wrapping when making tackles anymore! Its all about the big hits.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:38 pm
They lost this game the same way they won the last game. Stupid penalties.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:38 pm
FLAG FOOTBALL…… Too many yellow flags….. Can’t win going backwards.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:38 pm
They ran screen plays like we ran up the middle on every first down.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:39 pm
Our Defense SUCKS! Cant stop run, cant defend a pass, cant tackle. Can we called it something other than our defense? They need another name. Stupid penalties the whole game. Pathetic showing.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:39 pm
Our Defense SUCKS! Cant stop run, cant defend a pass, cant tackle. Can we called it something other than our defense? They need another name. Stupid penalties the whole game. Pathetic showing.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:39 pm
GREAT BLOW JOB D!! Can’t wait til next week. …
October 5th, 2014 at 4:39 pm
Bunch of crap for defense.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:39 pm
F(B)UCK this defense!!! F(B)UCKING O-Line kept getting hands to the face calls all day. BS reffing. BS play calls on defense. Pathetic. Embarrassing.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:39 pm
Run defense=joke.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:39 pm
Agreed, just like the Steelers killed themselves last week with penalties we did the same this week. However I like the play of Glennon and if he continues to play well then our QB concerns are over. At least we are being competitive and will only hopefully get better. It will be great when we get Evans back after the bye and maybe Charles Sims will be ready to go by then so there is still hope.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:40 pm
Maybe if Lovie showed some spirit on the side line damn he sucks.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:40 pm
3rd and 31 and we try to throw out of our own end zone. From that moment on I knew we lost this game. Run the ball. Punt and make them earn their points. I am still pissed at decision.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:40 pm
Starting to fully understand why Chicago fired one and Minnessota fired the other.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:40 pm
Happy birthday Dre.
And happy birthday to you too Payton, today is on behalf of the Bucs franchise and fan base 🙂
Ps, Coaching is garbage on these team. We have regressed. And I’m already sick of Lovie…
October 5th, 2014 at 4:41 pm
Sure wish they would black this crap out. Nobody should have to watch that crap
October 5th, 2014 at 4:41 pm
Joe,
You forgot to mention….
Colston fumbles in the 4th inside of 2 and booth didn’t review… BS
Hands to face call on 3rd and long in OT was BS.
Ref’s did everything they could to take this from the bucs… Strait BS!
October 5th, 2014 at 4:41 pm
LOVIE IS _ A JOKE
October 5th, 2014 at 4:42 pm
I say it again and again a good coach doesn’t sit out a season in this NFL
October 5th, 2014 at 4:42 pm
311 yards of offense vs a team that gives up 400 yards.
15 penalties
Horrible tackling.
Only bright spot was Vincent Jackson finally appeared in 2014.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:43 pm
Penalties killed the team… Hard to win with 15 penalties.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:43 pm
lovie does look overwhelmed on the sideline. when the wheels start falling off the wagon he looks befuddled.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:43 pm
Try defending that blocking now Joe.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:43 pm
In related news, who’s going looking good for us in the draft.
Ya at 1-4, 3 division losses, I said the D word. Season is done boys.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:43 pm
We needed one stop on defense. and couldn’t get it from a coach who preaches defense. pretty sad.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:44 pm
“Penalties killed the team… Hard to win with 15 penalties”
yep. ask the steelers.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:44 pm
Headline: BUCS snatch defeat from the jaws of victory!
October 5th, 2014 at 4:44 pm
Hey Joe since you are on your way to the locker room tell them all I said F(B)UCK YOU!!’
October 5th, 2014 at 4:44 pm
I blame Lovie and that crappy staff not the players anymore.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:45 pm
Sethb22:
I agree, booth should have reviewed that call it was a catch and fumble. Last hands to the face on Banks was a BS call also. I hate to blame refs but those two were horrible.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:45 pm
This defense was repeatedly exposed on the screen play and the pass to the rb in the flat.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:45 pm
Team is just bad I’m still not hight on Glennon can’t have a safety and they played a team that is what dead last in the nfl on pass D and you get 248. With a fumble a int a safety and 2td not great. We have no run game I don’t know if it is a lack of respect for the QB and playing the run bad play calling not sure what’s going on. D wasn’t good but did get turnovers and score points. That was a 1-3 also we stink
October 5th, 2014 at 4:45 pm
The loss sucks, but we played well in the Superdome and nearly won. This season is over, but at least Glennon looks good
October 5th, 2014 at 4:45 pm
ray rice
buck you
October 5th, 2014 at 4:46 pm
Glennon Killed it? Killed the chance to win the game by taking a safety and not getting it done late. You all are delusional and full of excuses. Either you win or lose the game and he lost it. You guys blame everything on McCown and nothing on Glennon.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:46 pm
Can’t wait to hear the little DOG show tomorrow on WADE!!
October 5th, 2014 at 4:46 pm
Where was the glorious leader McCoy today?
October 5th, 2014 at 4:46 pm
No defense, no discipline, no chance.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:46 pm
I never would’ve believed it, this team’s defense is now holding them back. The offense looks SOOOO much better. Even with all the penalties it’s easy to see Glennon is the answer at QB. What a great game
October 5th, 2014 at 4:46 pm
I am sensing that the fans are not patient with the new coaches.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:46 pm
This reminds me of last years Seahawks game. You knew as fast as the offense scored the damn defense would let them come back down the field and score again. Glennon played evevn better this game but he had one of his best games then too.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:46 pm
LOVIE WAS HIRED TO STRAIGHTEN THIS DEFENSE OUT AND FOR THAT REASON ONLY……and it’s not even a mediocre D. What a joke he is.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:46 pm
stanglasswoman is a moron
October 5th, 2014 at 4:47 pm
Lurker you need to SHUT THE F(B)UCK up or else I will slap your Bi*ch A$$
October 5th, 2014 at 4:47 pm
Put this one on the D. We would of won with Schiano’s defense. Wish Lovie would of learned something when he sat out last year. Same conservative BS. Good game Glennon. If the rest of the offense played the game as well as you we would have won the game despite Lovie’s crap defense.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:47 pm
Glennon had a ton of chances to put the game away or at least keep the lead, and he failed. He held the ball too long, resulting in holding penalties, he held the ball too long resulting in the safety. Held the ball too long not even giving his wrs a chance to make a play. All he had to do was give Vincent Jackson a chance on a jump ball. But he didn’t. The result is a loss, because Glennon didn’t want to pull the trigger with numerous chances.
Penalties were terrible today. But every team has them, you have to execute regardless.
This loss isn’t on the defense they did enough to win the game. 3 interceptions and a touchdown, holding Brees down for most of the game. They did a good job, against a dynamic offense. I mean, come on, did anyone expect the bucs to shutdown Brees? No, let’s be realistic. Limiting him is what you want to do. And the bucs defense kept the offense in the game all day.
Glennons safety is what did us in. If he just throws the ball at the top of his drop back, we win. We punt and the saints need a td to win. We know they only manage a fg, and we win. The offensive line had way too many penalties, but you have to overcome them, stop making excuses and go win the game. Glennon disappeared in the fourth quarter. All he had to do was throw the ball, and he didn’t get it done.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:47 pm
GEAROLD (WHO)?
October 5th, 2014 at 4:47 pm
Agreed, Bucs were undisciplined but the Saints got the favor of every call. It infuriates me beyond words. Call a fair damn game and the number 1 rule of officiating, be consistent for the love of all things good!! And how can you not at least review the fumble? It was more than a close enough play. F**k these zebras and whoever is herding them.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:47 pm
Crazy game learned a lot about this team today. For one, this team does not have what it takes to win, sorry but it’s true. Were down by 13 early then come back great, but then to be up 11 twice in the game LMFAO. The defense basically just rolled over that drive in overtime as well as both times we went up 11. Team has a lot of holes, why is Leonard Johnson playing man that guys bad, up and down game by Banks but in the end pretty much cost us the game with that hands to the face penalty at the end there. Lovies D is just not clutch whatsoever. One bright sport IMO was Barron, he was all over the field today played great same with David and Verner…….Verner did drop 2 interceptions in the first half tho. On offense Glennon looked good, that drive for the win in the fourth was just a disaster tho SHM. He’s making a case to be the qb of the future but he’s got to prove he can win. IMO this game reminds me of the game at Seattle last year we were up and defense let us down and lost late in the game. It’s crazy to think that at the beginning of the season everyone thought the defense would be carrying the team, well they have actually been doing the opposite letting the team down. Lots of work to do damn it’s hard to be a fan of this team.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:48 pm
Talking all this garbage about the defense as if no one knew it was bad. Still that garbage defense have the ball to Glennon with 3 interceptions. Just because you won’t say it….. This lose is on Glennon just as much as it is the defense, you don’t take a sack in the endzone while trying to put a game away against drew Brees. Typical Glennon to sit there in the endzone as if he had all day, situational football and that was obvious he needed to get the ball out quick. Having said that he played a really good game and I felt like we’d win regardless of this garbage defense until that play
October 5th, 2014 at 4:48 pm
Refs played well today. Good job.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:48 pm
Oh how I long for the day of Schiano’s “gimmick” line stunts – where was Gerald?
October 5th, 2014 at 4:48 pm
3rd & 29 at the one… Who does that?
Glennon played well and really cemented his job.
The defense is showing flashes but just can’t put it all together.
This one hurts, but I thought it would have been much worse.
Go Yucs!
October 5th, 2014 at 4:49 pm
Here comes the glennon haters.. back off bozo’s
October 5th, 2014 at 4:49 pm
Can someone explain how that wasn’t a fumble by Colston?
October 5th, 2014 at 4:49 pm
I think I’d rather get blown out. How many times do we conveniently get flagged on 3rd down to sustain scoring drives? And on offense, I can’t even celebrate a great play until I don’t see any flags, I’m not conditioned like that for no reason, year after year the Bucs never get the benefit of the doubt on questionable fouls. I guess the bad teams are just assumed guilty! When we lost the OT flip, I knew we wouldn’t have the chance on offense, and we didn’t(I hate/respect Breese). I’ll get over it, but Thursday can’t come quick enough!
October 5th, 2014 at 4:49 pm
Bitterbuc4lyfe should change his name to bitterglennonhater
October 5th, 2014 at 4:50 pm
Stan, you’re an idiot.
Glennon played a very good game. He did not make the mistakes McCown makes. The safety was not his fault. None of the penalties were his and nobody blocked the defender on that play.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:50 pm
ok internet tough guy. ray rice is a moron and so are you.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:50 pm
Who ever would’ve thought that Arroyo’s offense would be outperforming Lovie’s defense?
October 5th, 2014 at 4:50 pm
Bucs4lyfe you forget that mankins completely missed the blocking assignment and glennon got slammed on his blind side.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:51 pm
SHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!
October 5th, 2014 at 4:51 pm
You can’t blame Glennon for that safety. When you lose 30 yards and you have a pas called on the 1, what do you think will happen. Glennon showed me he is the starter even though I have called for a 1st round QB to replace him. Hard to play better than he did for a 2nd year player. Lots of blame to go around but Glennon is not one of them.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:51 pm
I absolutely hate our offensive play calling. I’ve never seen an offense more predictable. We did jack sh!t on first down all day long, because we insisted on running up the middle every damn time. I just don’t get it. Virtually no success whatsoever, but we refused to stop doing the same thing over and over.
As for the defense, this is what I expected. I don’t know how anyone could expect much better. Do you think we’re going to turn into the 85 Bears overnight. Brees is an elite QB, so he’s going to carve up our still learning defense. We forced turnovers, which is all you can really ask for. Lovie doesn’t suck, Leslie doesn’t suck, but right now our defense sucks. It’s taking time, but I can see we are getting better. We are at least close to the receivers this week, which is a major upgrade over the first 4 games. The pass rush is pretty good, but overall just not good enough. Sometimes the other team is just better than you. Add in a ton of stupid and/or questionable penalties, you are a 1-4 team.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:51 pm
@lightningbuc-Oh how I long for the day of Schiano’s “gimmick” line stunts – where was Gerald?
GMC would’ve had 3 sacks if Breese wasn’t so greedy and took the sack, insteade he threw it up like a rookie to avoid those sacks, this one’s NOT on GMC!
October 5th, 2014 at 4:51 pm
Cover 2 rocks!! A boy names Leslie got taken to the woodshed again. Hope joe is right and defensive woes are just a result of learning a new system. Hard to stay patient. Hard to not question that antiquated looking defensive scheme. Hope I’m wrong!
October 5th, 2014 at 4:52 pm
glennon played well, but not well enough.
he is not the end all, dang.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:52 pm
Get over it, people.
The defense blew it in overtime and in the 4th quarter, but overall they played well. Very well. You are all peeved over the loss, so you’re not looking at the whole picture.
Mike Glennon
I may surprise some people here. I’ve been saying that Mike Glennon needs to overwhelm me. Keeping in mind that it is his second year, I’ll say this…he did what I asked.
In my opinion, he carried the offense (he, Jackson and Murphy). I think we would have blown the Saints out if there had not been so many penalties and drops earlier in the game, and the plays leading up to the safety were a result of the rest of the offense screwing up. Once aain, our center hiked the ball before it was called, causing a bad snap. I saw that safety coming a mile away.
None of that was Mike Glennons fault. He displayed traits that have been misssing in his game. He went thru progressions faster, he read the defense consistently, he was in complete command, he didn’t panick under pressure and he was studying the playbook between possessions (much like Peyton does).
I am no MGMer…yet…but I do believe he officially earned the starting role in this game. Even though we lost. Not ready to name him a franchise QB yet, but he moved forward big time.
And a special note to Josh McCown
He was calling the plays at the end of the first half. I don’t know where Arroyo went, but Josh was the genius behind that comeback. He may not be a good QB, but he is great at bringing the best out of Glennon and the offense.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:53 pm
Hey LURKER Bit*h you are the one opening your mouth from the start. No one was talking to your a$$. Keep opening your mouth and I’m going to put something in it.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:53 pm
Anybody who thinks this loss is on Glennon is an absolute moron and should stay away from football.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:53 pm
Stanglassman,
You are a Fremanite.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:53 pm
Every quarterback in the league had to deal with pressure just like brees did, this like is getting better every week
October 5th, 2014 at 4:53 pm
Them penalties n that safety sack was allllllll o line. Mankins didn’t read the stunt n gallette closed on glennon too fast. Smh that play never had a chance to be successful
October 5th, 2014 at 4:54 pm
I was pretty impressed with Glennon. It’s just too damn bad he was constantly put in 2nd and long situations. Despite the predictability of our offense, he made some fantastic throws, and he didn’t miss many. It still seems as though we are babying him in the offense. Let him play!
October 5th, 2014 at 4:54 pm
This team sucks..defensively that is. And offense is just so-so. Doug Martin is a bust, his rookie year was clearly a fluke and is going nowhere fast. I agree a good coach doesn’t sit out a whole year! Lovie just isn’t good, Glazers sucked again on that hire. Truly hate being a Bucs fan year in and year out. Well at least I’m a Kings fan and the season starts in 3 days! Go Kings, Go!
October 5th, 2014 at 4:55 pm
I think the Saints sent the ref crew to Bourbon Street Sat night because that game had more home team calls than I have seen in a Bucs game in a long time.
I could have sworn I saw at least 2 or 3 holding penalties not called particularly with Gerald McCoy near the end of the game when the Bucs could have gotten the ball back with more time before the interception they made.
How many holding calls where called on Tampa, at least 5 or 6 and they just didn’t even it out in the last few moments of regulation.
I know the Bucs lost the game because as usual they beat themselves.
I just think if you are calling it one way, call it the other.
Then there is the Drew Brees groundings, that’s a whole other thing to bitch on.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:55 pm
Y is everyone soooo mad at Lovie? I know he is head coach and has ultimate responsibility but to be mad because he doesn’t show emotions? If he showed emotions you same ppl would say he needs to chill out and lead the team. Never f-ing happy are u?
October 5th, 2014 at 4:55 pm
all day and on every article, all week will be how glennon did great but the defense/ special teams/ coaching lost the game. N.O. defense wasn’t all that great but they have something the Bucs don’t, a quaterback! (who threw 3 interceptions). But glennon is great and the (QOTF), get real!!
October 5th, 2014 at 4:55 pm
“Hey LURKER Bit*h you are the one opening your mouth from the start. No one was talking to your a$$. Keep opening your mouth and I’m going to put something in it.”
———
How exactly are you going to do that? You do realize that to my knowledge you can’t do that over the internet.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:56 pm
with a name like some punk-assed ray rice, i guess a punk-ass would use it, right.
stfu and get out you misogynist piece of crap!
October 5th, 2014 at 4:57 pm
Joe,
I think Ray Rice needs to be suspended for his “virtual domestic abuse”.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:57 pm
i would like to know if lovie is influencing the offensive and defensive playcalling on gameday.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:58 pm
Defense was improved in the secondary. Still not great, but improved. We need Foster back too. Fletcher misses tackles constantly.
Cover 2 works great if the players do their jobs. Dallas cover 2 looked bad in their first year last year. This year they look good.
In fact…look at the top ten defenses. A lot of cover 2 there.
Tampa is going to get there.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:58 pm
Glennon haters, good for you. You lack football IQ.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:58 pm
Hey guys its first down lets suprise the saints and run it..
October 5th, 2014 at 4:58 pm
The Mike Williams trade looks worse and worse every week.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:58 pm
What about being mad at the f-ing players not doing their assignments? Cover two is assignment football. But the players keep blowing theirs. Lovie aint tackling s(p)it. He needs to coach em better yeah, but everything aint a coaches fault.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:59 pm
Your mom gave me the name. I had to use it. I slap that dumb BIT*H all the time. She said the name fits me well. Now I guess I’m going to have to slap her retarded ass BIT*H Boy son too. I guess both of you like it rough huh.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:00 pm
Newbucsfan,
You’re wrong about Glennon. Enjoy the butt hurtedness.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:00 pm
Glennon played good? We have 3 takeaways he has 2 TD and the saints have no pass D. Throws a pick and gives up a safety yea your right looked real good. Bet he loses his job
October 5th, 2014 at 5:01 pm
Mike, the Saints were not great at running either. And Rainey did nothing. The Saints were just good at stopping the run.
14 penalties killed us.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:02 pm
OK so can anyone think of any one player that plays a perfect game besides Glennon? It’s situational football. The ball should have left his hands as soon as he dropped back, can’t be sitting in the endzone waiting for an open receiver. Yes mankind whiffed on a block but the ball should have been gone
And I said he had a very good game but those two points lost the game and the defense did exactly what everyone expected…. They gave up pass yards and run yards, stop acting surprised about it. The game was lost on the sack in the endzone
Don’t tell me people expected us to stop this offense
October 5th, 2014 at 5:03 pm
u dumbbutts can blame MG8 all you want, you’re mental, so go ahead, I understand….he played well though, looked MUCH better than McCown…and that safety is also on the Oline, not just Glennon.
Glennon and Barron and David showed up….the rest of them, not so much, well Gholston and McCoy got some pressure….guys were tired at the end though…Jit happens
October 5th, 2014 at 5:03 pm
“Y is everyone soooo mad at Lovie?”
-team is 1-4
-poor personnel decisions
-defense is performing poorly
-too many penalties = undisciplined team
we needed an offensive minded coach, not a retread.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:03 pm
SteveK Says
“Glennon haters, good for you. You lack football IQ.”
I think he showed a lot. Enough to keep starting.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:04 pm
For the past four years all we do is run up the middle on 1st down. It’s so dumb and so predictable. I really wish we had a good coaching staff that could call a good game because I am pretty sure I can do better. Stop running up the middle with our sh*tty running back.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:04 pm
Their RB trucks both our safeties for the winning TD… Wow!
Long way to go.
Go Yucs!
October 5th, 2014 at 5:04 pm
@Nybucsfan……..get your head out of your ass……sure Glennon wasn’t perfect but in no way will he “lose his job.” If it weren’t for him we wouldn’t have even been competitive so STFU.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:04 pm
People forget that Glennon hasn’t even completed a full season as a starter, nor has he had a full off season as the teams starter. This game was NOT on Glennon, there were several passes dropped as usual and there’s no running game to speak of….also penalties killed any momentum the offense had, I mean the freakin refs were calling 15yard penalties on cussing for God’s sake, WTF? This league has changed so much!
October 5th, 2014 at 5:04 pm
Game was lost on safety and dumb penalties on offense. Hands to the face every time BUCS got a positive gain. It seemed like they were in 1st/2nd and 20 many times during the game.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:05 pm
Everybody it was a good game. The penalties were excessive, the defense bad, offense want consistent enough to win. But they are getting better. I prefer Glennon over mccown and Freeman lol
October 5th, 2014 at 5:06 pm
I stopped after 10 comments. In laughing in all of your faces, these statements are ridiculous. The defense was improved. Three picks and Bree’s was off the mark all day. And Mark Barron? Graham would have had a monster day if it weren’t for him. The defense is on the field most of the fm day so of course they will be gassed for the stretch run plays and the saints knew that. This is on our o-line 1000%. Stupid penalties, and they can’t even line up on the scrimmage line correctly! I’m angry but it is what it is. Everyone wants instant perfection. You’re not getting it. This is a bad football team. Plain and simple. They will be better next week. Moral victories are stupid and this loss hurt, but they deserved it.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:07 pm
I missed alot of the postgame.. but what I saw it sounded like Lovie threw the offense under the bus…
October 5th, 2014 at 5:07 pm
awwwww ray rice has hurt feelings. sorry you haven’t matured yet. i hope you learn quickly before your stupidity ruins your life.
or is it too late and you have earned bf priviledges in prison? nahhhhhhh
October 5th, 2014 at 5:07 pm
AAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHH!!!!! We suck AAAAAAGGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!
October 5th, 2014 at 5:07 pm
*bf = jbf
October 5th, 2014 at 5:08 pm
Glennon is a much better passer than his numbers show, he loses completions due to penalties and drops. The Bucs didn’t lose that game because of one play (that safety) they lost because their defense can’t tackle. The running backs on New Orleans looked like the reincarnation of Jim Brown and Mike Alstott. How many yards did he get after initial contact? Except for LaVonte David, no one on that defense can make a tackle.
For once the secondary did play well defending the pass, the poor tackling gave the Saints those easy touchdowns.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:09 pm
@Ray Rice you are immature and clearly a trashy moron so just stop posting on this forum because your making us all look bad. You are the such a tough guy on the Internet aren’t you? I bet you really do hit women you lowlife piece of garbage. That stuff isn’t funny and shouldn’t be joked about but your just a two-bit idiot who doesn’t know any better so I guess that’s not your fault. I wish Joe would ban you from posting threats and hateful comment. Grow up and get a life you loser.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:10 pm
Just what I expected from our savior Lovie
October 5th, 2014 at 5:10 pm
i blame the loss on refs. this game was rigged, not even so much the penaltys that were called, mainly the ones that were NOT called. i watched so many illegal blocks in the back from new orleans and holding, but no calls. then the refs are calling shit on tampa thats nowhere near the play, like “illegal hands to the face”. this game was worse reffing then last week in pitsburg.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:10 pm
My life is already ruined. I just like it when dumb a$$e$ like you fall in line. Come visit in prison anytime. You can be the first one to benefit from my privileges. Hope you got medical coverage.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:12 pm
I think it’s pretty cute that Mike sticks up for his man Lurker.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:12 pm
And bonsai buc yes the saints didn’t run well either and stopped the run effectively but Martin hasn’t has a good game in a looooooong time. He is a bust.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:13 pm
ALL YOU MArk BARRON HATERS- I told u so. refs costed us the game quite frankly
October 5th, 2014 at 5:14 pm
Hey Mike before opening your mouth go back and check who starts talking first. You and your man Lurker need to get off each other’s lap and shut up.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:15 pm
The haters said before the game all week long glennon did not have a prayer it would be like the atlanta game bla bla bla, now it’s glennon safety and int why we lost the game.. You guys glennon was one of the bright spots of this team today, not really all his fault, wish he was perfect like you, maybe you can be our QB..Alot of blame to go around here today, lovie is a D kind of guy? Glennon is doing his job remember the offseason.. I wish some of you were my neighbor so I could come over and talk about your perfect lives and see where you ended up.. You are probally a big nasty stinkin turd..
October 5th, 2014 at 5:16 pm
Choke…..wrap up…..
October 5th, 2014 at 5:17 pm
I’m ny sticking up for anyone, I’m pointing out that your an immature idiot who had so self respect. Go back to your lowsy life and keep quiet. I would bet that you barely graduated high school…maybe haven’t even. Calling yourself Ray Rice doesn’t make you funny and no one is laughing at your idiotic handle, it’s corny and nothing more. If you want to be funny at least make us laugh. I can just picture you laughing to yourself as you came up with that dumb idea and it makes me sad for the world we live in where people like you have to exist. And just you know, we all know that Internet tough guys are big losers in real life. So thanks for clearing that up for us.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:18 pm
Refs do this EVERYTIME were ready to beat New Orleans. Call bull shit flags. Loss 1000 0000 percent on them
October 5th, 2014 at 5:19 pm
I’m going to start drinking now for the next game………
October 5th, 2014 at 5:19 pm
The BUCS aren’t a good enough team to be able to overcome those costly penalties yet. They will get there. It will take time. Also, the more comfortable Gelnnon gets with the offense the better it will be for the defense too. They will be able to play with a lead or get more rest as the offense sustains long drives.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:19 pm
@RayRicr I don’t care who started talking first, this is about your stupid name and your immature comments not about your convo with Lurker.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:22 pm
i said something because of your posting name. it is just a misogynist thing to use.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:24 pm
Everyone knew that the Bucs would never touch the ball in overtime. Just like last years Seahawks game…we all knew the D was going to break. Thats why they are. The Bucs are not short on talent…its a mental thing right now. They are loosers, they are used to loosing and they will continue to loose, cause thats just who they are.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:24 pm
And Glennon is no QB of the future, he just looks good because all of our other QBs have looked so terrible. Answer this..if he is so talented why did no one else draft him? We need a first round QB with elite talent not a work in project who is sort of good sometimes. I promise you he will never win a super bowl, at least not with this Defense. If you think otherwise you don’t know football.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:25 pm
In a league where QBs routinely pass for 300+ yards, the Glennon fanboys are rubbing themselves BC he passed for 250.
Against a terrible defense, Glennon led the team to 24 points, and 7 of those points resulted in a short field.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:26 pm
lurker you don’t really think he knows what mysogynist means do you? Bet you my snack pack he is googling it right now.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:26 pm
Ray Rice, if you are in prison, go back to bed with your boyfriend and sleep it off.
– Hernandez
October 5th, 2014 at 5:26 pm
He loses his job if the head coach wants a QB that can run and you give up a safety roll out throw it away. Football IQ hummm last rank pass D in the NFL I bet he did look ok when ever other QB that’s played them has looked great tells yourself what you want still lost to a team that was 1-3.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:27 pm
Hey Mike FYI- my real name is Raymond Rice. Have. Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering and am successful. So before opening your mouth check first. You jumping the gun and “Assuming” is the reason $hit happens. You are probably the type that stereotypes. You’re the guy who grabs his wallet when he sees a “thug” looking guy walking the street. No internet tough guy here buddy. Just a Buc fan who was minding his own business before your buddy Lurker started talking $hit. Stay in your lane and I will stay in mine.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:31 pm
your all dumb as hell. way to smug on either side of this argument.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:32 pm
Losing brings out everybody’s anger and finger pointing, Who was it that said;
“Show me a good loser and I will show you a loser”
So bring on the seal clubbings and lets be bad losers, fling it, vent, let er fly baby..
October 5th, 2014 at 5:33 pm
raymond rice, you knew your moniker was in poor taste on and nfl, site. especially since you are ‘telligent and succesful and all.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:35 pm
Lurker…So I should go to the county and change my name then? It’s on you for taking it that way. I don’t sit here and me up names like Lurker. It’s my real name. Sorry if it offended you…
October 5th, 2014 at 5:36 pm
Just letting everyone know my real name is Raymond Rice.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:38 pm
@Raymond Rice. Well if that is your real name you should have clarified that and I wouldn’t have thought you were being mysogynistic. Also, I don’t stereotype but I call it how I see it and if I see a thug looking type of person I keep a watchful eye that is true, I’d rather be safe than sorry. Living in the city you see a lot of things and I’m not trying to be another statistic. People are stupid and do stupid things, just cant trust them.
Mechanical engineer quiz..name the different types of sets. Coincidentally I went to school for the same thing!
October 5th, 2014 at 5:41 pm
lightningbuc Says:
October 5th, 2014 at 4:37 pm
Did Gerald McCoy play today or was he inactive?
McCoy had a great game even with his broken hand, sacks are not the only thing that matter, his pressures caused int and hurried the qb, he showed up today even with a broken hand
October 5th, 2014 at 5:42 pm
David,
Lovie is a defensive minded coach. Our defense was a joke without the saints best weapon. Scheme and fundamentals weren’t thete against a divisional opponent. We missed too many tackles and we had no answer to their attackng the middle of the field.
Additionally, how does a TO not come from the sidelines backed up against the goal line of it isn’t called on the field.
Two straight weeks we almost beat ourselves w penalties, and this week we did! How many hands to the face calls were made?! How many times have we heard that was going to be a focus of the refs this year?! And again, we didn’t close a game out!
A coach coaches these things pal.. This team discipline/preparedness/intensity looks as bad as its looked for the past 3 regimes.
This game was lost by Lovie
October 5th, 2014 at 5:46 pm
I shouldnt have to clarify anything to anyone. It’s on you guys for taking it the wrong way. That’s the problem with society now. Everyone is so quick to judge and point a finger. It is what it is.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:50 pm
Im curious to when were going to hold that piece of sh!t punter accountable. Hes thats getting paid all that money for 30 yard punts
October 5th, 2014 at 5:54 pm
@Ray Rice
I don’t buy your story no matter how hard you try selling it to me. Your real name isn’t Ray Rice and your no mechanical engineer. Stop back pedaling. You had a dumb idea, though it would be funny, but turns out it was only dumb.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:55 pm
It’s strange because Koenen was looking great previously, this year not so much.
October 5th, 2014 at 5:55 pm
Remember that language foul penalty, I wonder if we got the other questionable calls or non calls because something was said to the refs that hurt there feelings..
October 5th, 2014 at 5:56 pm
If I read one person blame this game on Glennon. He’s a top 10 pocket passer in football. Yes I said It I’m sold. We have a franchise QB. I don’t give a damn who is the coach what the record is. We aren’t a Super Bowl team. We r a year away. But we have our QB. Joe even said showing that success 2 games in a row. He made every throw
October 5th, 2014 at 5:58 pm
Thank you Mike. I think you should clarify your real name to everyone. Do you really mean Mike Vick???? This how dumb you sound. The dumb book must have fell on your head at grad school buddy. Sorry.
October 5th, 2014 at 6:08 pm
And Lurker, the reasons u gave are circumstantial at best. If the personnel decisions worked out, you and these analyst would crown him a genius. And the players play. Everytime something goes wrong it isnt a coaches fault, as well as when a player makes a play it isn’t a coaches credit. Also Lurker is a creepy sounding name. It sounds like a pedophile sir. I have to say bad choice as well sir.
October 5th, 2014 at 6:15 pm
Mike10,
Sir, i have coached pop warner and high school fb sir as well as the spurs league basketball in Texas. Even though these are grown men,I have experienced players with mental, technical and just fundamental errors right after they were coached on the sidelines. But these are men right? Been doin this for years? Not always a coaches fault. Thats all I’m saying. If you can’t see my point, than u just want to blame the guy.
October 5th, 2014 at 6:16 pm
ok david. sounds like a leader of a cult that got many people killed.
lurker is someone who reads posts and usually doesn’t comment. but you knew that. how that, or even lurking in watching, has to do with sex with minors is beyond me. but i guess your twisted mind leans that way.
October 5th, 2014 at 6:21 pm
Pedophiles lurk around schools right? David was a king in the bible sir. You can call someone on their name but get defensive about yours?
October 5th, 2014 at 6:21 pm
im “that guy” who sticks his nose into other peoples business and calls them all dumbasses.
October 5th, 2014 at 6:28 pm
@David
He’s probably driving around in his white econoline van with no windows Lurking.
October 5th, 2014 at 6:33 pm
king david the first terrorist, not david koresh?
i was just clarifying my name. you 2 can dream your dreams of harming kids. i do not think it is something to be joked about just like beating women. but i guess you 2 are still too young to understand these things
October 5th, 2014 at 6:35 pm
like i said, leader of a cult.
October 5th, 2014 at 7:14 pm
Look….u can call me wat u want sir. Justdon’t call me a terrorist. I’m an Iraq war veteran and lost many good devil dawgs and devil docs over there. U probably just soaking up all this freedom we fought for. So dont be disrespectful sir. My last post to u sir. Good day.
October 5th, 2014 at 7:24 pm
awwwwwwwwww
you run your piehole about something that had nothing to do with you. there was freedom here before iraq. sorry you lost comrades, but that is not on me. good day to you too, sir.
October 5th, 2014 at 9:00 pm
Disagree w you David –
I see your pt, I just don’t agree. I give these men more credit than I think you do. Because they are professionals just as Lovie is a professional coach. He wouldn’t be if he didn’t have the ability to mold good football players just as our Buccanneers wouldn’t be playing on Sundays had they not been receptive to fine tuning their skill set.
Myself, the majority of us on this site, and several national pundits expected this team to play much better football because Lovie would bring a disciplined approach. We though the players would believe in him making them all the more receptive……
We’re 1-4 and the same mistakes keep being made. When a team holds itself back like we have, it starts and ends at the top sir. I think you need to hold these professionals to a higher standard as they represent the .5% of you pop-warner population for a reason.
