Sabby The Wrestler

He’s back!

The way the Bucs have been playing, maybe as awful as Joe can remember, Joe has been having flashbacks to the notorious Sabby the Goat, the former Bucs safety who made Mark Barron look like Ronnie Lott.

If there was a bad angle to take, Sabby knew it. If there was a way to make a bad tackle attempt, Sabby knew it. If there was a way to make a penalty, Sabby knew it. Often, all in one play.

Whenever Sabby the Goat took the field, it would be a minimum of two plays before the opposing team targeted him and them — WWWEEEEEE! — off to the races we go!

After getting roasted by Joe Flacco during a Bucs push for the playoffs in 2010, and getting cut mere hours later, Sabby the Goat bounced around the NFL for a couple of years.

Well, it seems Sabby the Goat will soon end up on a TV near you. Sabby the Goat appears to be the next heel for the WWE. Yes, he will be a rassler, according to Alfonso Marimon of something called Wrestling News Report.

Former NFL player Sabatino “Sabby” Piscitelli began his training today at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

Piscitelli is the sixth confirmed developmental signing in recent days, along with other talents including Sunny Dhinsa, an amateur wrestler who had been training for the 2016 Olympic Games, Dustin Mueller, a bodybuilder from Chicago, Illinois, Josh Woods, a former collegiate amateur wrestler at the University of Centreal Florida with MMA experience, Zahra Schreiber, a professional model and tour manager from Saginaw, Michigan who trained at the House of Truth Wrestling School and Gionna Daddio, a Hooters model/waitress from New Jersey.

31-year-old Piscitelli, who is 6 foot 3 inches and weighs 225lbs last played in the NFL in 2011. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft and played for the Cleveland Browns in 2010 and the Kansas City Chiefs in 2011.

Joe wishes Sabby the Goat all the best in his new endeavor.

This article reminded me the Bucs spent a second round pick on this guy. That makes me sad.

Thanks a lot Joe! I thought is put this traumatic memory behind me but now it had all come flooding back 🙁

Joe….its bad enough for us to deal with the losing and blowouts….high FA failures etc….but to start bringing past failures to our attention is really rubbing it in.

How about something positive….like Patrick Murray….or maybe ME7…..or perhaps a Buc that has failed somewhere else (if you can find one other than #5.

Freaking Classic. Not work Joe. This news literally brightened my day.

  4. buddhaboy Says:

    Nice work .

  5. Justin Says:

To be totally correct, Sabby didnt get roasted by Joe Flacco. He got burnt by Todd Heap, who at the time may have been the slowest skill position player in the NFL. I’ll never forget that play.

  6. Touch_Down_Tampa_Bay Says:

@Tampabaybucfan – I’m with you. Joe is still a Rams fan. He does not feel our pain….

  7. Dave Pear Says:

Are you telling me that GOAT isn’t an acronym for Greatest Of All Time?

  8. Joe Says:

@TampaBayBucfan — this morning Joe already delivered news of the emerging DE Jacqueis Smith. Don’t be such a downer.

  9. BradentuckeyBuc Says:

Hey Joe, how about an article updating us about all the players cut over the last year or two. Like the huge loss we call “mattress in the yard” and his 8 receptions on the year not being able to hold onto the third string, zuttah? Penn? Davin? Is anyone making an impact anywhere with the exception of Mevis?

  10. Buccfan37 Says:

That makes sense, Sabby as a fake wrestler, since he was so good at faking himself out as a football player.

  11. BucDan Says:

“University of Centreal Florida” – My Alma mater gets no love. Ever.

At least they won this weekend though!

  12. Mr. Patrick Says:

Remember when the Bucs were saying that Sabby would be the next John Lynch? LOL. I wish him the best of luck

  13. Buctebow Says:

    I wish Sappy well.

To the person who wrote this as well as you people leaving negative comments, you are all probably a bunch of fat, virgin, usless nerds who sit behind a computer all day. You all have never played a sport in your life especially at a professional level. Its safe to say you all have no clue what your talking about you stupid, ignorant fucks. It makes absolutely no sense to bash someone for signing a deal with one of the biggest entertainment company’s in the world. ALSO, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A BAD PLAYER IN THE NFL YOU BUNCH OF DUMBASSES. IF THEY WERE NOT GOOD FOOTBALL PLAYERS THEY WOULDNT HAVE MADE IT TO THE NFL OR COLLEGE LEVELS. To the individual who wrote this, anyway we could have a private conversation?
