Mason Foster Making Progress
October 2nd, 2014Joe brought word yesterday that middle linebacker Mason Foster noted Wednesday would be a big day for him to see if he could return to the field for the Saints game, after dislocating a shoulder against the Rams in Week 2.
While Foster has not commented about how his “big day” went, the words from Bucs coach Lovie Smith seemed to indicate Foster did not have a setback, Twittered Scott Smith of Buccaneers.com.
LB Mason Foster is making progress with his injured shoulder but Lovie isn’t sure if he’ll be ready for Sunday’s game.

Lovie even went on during his afternoon news conference to say Foster “looked pretty good” on the field.
Well, it is good news in that Foster did not have to sit out of practice or couldn’t make a go of it. Whether Foster will play against the Saints is unclear.
At least Foster is making progress. And that is the important element here.

This is news to Capt Tim as he has no idea Foster hasn’t been playing!

That would be great news if he were halfway decent. He, like Fletcher, Casillas, and David, are huge liabilities in coverage. At least, like David, he is good against the run.

Foster is too slow and poor in pass coverage. I’d would almost like to see them slide Lansanah over to the middle and try him out there. He’s a playmaker and needs to be on the field more often.

It is too late…but Mark Barron at MLB…I see LB’s getting smaller ,thus, faster….or nickle package with taller CB type playing middle

Heres to hoping Foster picks Brees off again and takes it to the house like that game last year. That was fun to watch.

He MUST find a way to play on sunday.

I think we’ll have a pretty good defense if mofos stop biting so damn hard on play actions. I think the front 4 is solid enough to hold it’s own. I think lovie has to coach shiano’s run blitz habit out of our LBs because they just don’t bite they bite hard on every single play action pass
