If…

Even though the Bucs are 1-4, a virtual lost season, there are things to look forward to. Sunday may be one of them.

The Baltimore Crows aren’t as strong as they once were, but are dangerous. Still, WTSP-TV Channel 10 sports anchor David Wirth thinks the Bucs can learn from the Saints loss last week, and give the Crows a run for their money Sunday, if…

I ain’t predicting Jack for this game. All I can say is I feel good about this game. Much more than before the Saints game.

If?…if only do-no-wrong Lovie and his lapdog Licht made better decisions in the offseason. Like not having a lapdog for a GM! Or not purging the oline before you have actually better players replacing them. Or not hiring a McCown and naming him your starter in freaking March! Or finding an actual proven pass rusher? Or providing some real competition on this team in the offseason? What in the eff?

    look who it its

The best NFL coach @ GM who will never be the one making any decisions good ole Dallas lol.

If… The refs will throw a freaking intentional grounding flag once in while.
If… A DB pushes down our receiver we get a PI flag.

Luckily we’re not playing against an NFL golden boy this week, so some of those flags might go our way.

That’s it PR…just like you to start in on me instead of addressing the content. It’s cool. What’s up man?

    I’ll address the content, Dallas.

We all knew Lovie would be running things 100% when he got hired. It was likely the deal. Licht is here to negotiate contracts, work trades and balance the budget. I’m fine with that. I wish he were better at talent evaluation, but it is what it is. To be honest, I don’t like Licht much so far, but I have to remember he is also a rookie GM.

Or not purging the oline before you have actually better players replacing them.

Can’t replace them without the money to do so. They had to “purge” it to free up the money. We had a very expensive oline. Me personally? I would have chosen oline over RB in the draft, to at least start the process. And I hate that Zuttah had to go, but really, it was about the money. It will take time to get the oline going right…just like it will take time to get the defense going.

Or not hiring a McCown and naming him your starter in freaking March!

I actually 100% agree with naming McCown the starter. One of the biggest issues I had with Glennon is that he was handed the starting role by default last year. The way things are working out now, he’s working harder to give reason to keep him the starter. He’s earning the role.

I don’t think it was a bad call. I think McCown isn’t getting paid much, and he did set some good leadership examples for Glennon to learn from. And McCown called the plays that caused our turnaround at the end of the second half. Arroyo was nowhere to be seen at the time. (check the tape)

I’m finally fine with Glennon getting the nod now. I feel like he has earned the role. working for it has done him good.

Or finding an actual proven pass rusher?

Michael Johnson IS a proven pass rusher. He’s playing in a new system and he will get better. You’ll be surprised as the season goes on.

Or providing some real competition on this team in the offseason?

There was plenty of competition this off season. At almost every position. If you live in Dallas (as the name hints) you may not have realized this.

The thing to keep in mind is that everything cannot be changed in one off season. There are limits to the number of moves that can be made.

The draft went surprisingly well. I disagreed with the Sims pick (oline or QB would have been better) but as for the rest, no complaints.

As to our defense…give it time. Banks will improve. Baron is already improving. David is David. GMC is GMC. ETry to remember that even the rookies on defense from last year are rookies in the current system.

Ronde, for example, did not get good until his 5th year. Banks is already more advanced than Ronde was at the same stage. It takes time. It will happen.

I agree with Bonzai except 2 things, Glennon was not handed the starting job. he was thrown into the fire. I think it was dumb to name your starting qb in march. I knew Glennon could handle starting job the whole offseason. t worst we would be 2-3 right now, which is a hell of a lot better than 1-4. We are now playing for next year.
