Bucs safety “Hawk” Goldson said, in the words of Roger Daltrey, you can see the real me if you buy a ticket for Sunday’s game.
Bucs safety “Hawk” Goldson hasn’t played since the win over Pittsburgh as he has been nursing a bum ankle. It seems his absence is just about over.
Holding court with the Tampa Bay pen and mic club today prior to practice, Goldson declared his ankle is fine and he will be ready to crunch ribs Sunday as the Bucs host the Vikings.
In fact, Goldson suggests folks might want to come to a game and see the real Hawk.
“I think coverage is going to be vital this week,” Goldson said. “We are playing against a young guy who doesn’t have all the answers yet. But he is definitely a talented individual.
” So with guys like that, you definitely want to let the coverage work for you and let that rush get to him. We have to take care of each other back there. Cover the guys and let the rush take care of the coverage.”
When asked if he was able to go “full bore” coming off his gimpy ankle, Goldson smiled and said, “Isn’t that the way? Buy a ticket.”

goldson isn’t the player his contract says he is, but i’ll take him over the parade of no-names that have been filling his position the last few weeks. the depth chart at safety makes for a depressing bit of reading

You kid but that’s prob exactly what will happen. Goodell ain’t playing w the hawk.
Now, coverage, all they need to do is cover Cordell Patterson who caught his first td pass last week. Greg Jennings has been MIA all season and Kyle Rudolph not sure who that is but I’m pretty sure he’ll burn our linebackers.
For the T2 fans out there consider this, Dallas is giving up 23 points per game, Carolina got blown out in GB and Seattle is 3-3. Even if they play the T2 textbook we still have to score at least 24 points.

Can we have another bye week? Not getting embarrassed last weekend felt great! My kids wanted to play with me, my wife actually spoke to me. It was a nice change of pace to have a weekend that wasnt wrecked by the Bucs.

there will probably be many people outside the stadium about 1 hour pregame selling their game tickets at half price. just like the old days pre tony dungy. they will probably be selling them even cheaper if the bucs continue to stink up the field in the weeks to come.

port richey george…I feel for you buddy, I went through that hell last season. To think they look worse than last season I really feel for you even more. At least there’s no last second losses like I had to endure last season. Lovie just gets blown out of his own stadium.

I said before the Bucs got this bad that they should trade Goldson back to the 49ers. Tanney is faster and did a great job in Goldson’s place last year. Save that cap room for some decent linemen in free agency next year.

To be fair to the guy, they call Goldson “Hawk” not because of anything he does on the field but because he spends a lot of his off time with a leather hood over his head.

A lot of you guys should just find another team to root for. If the bucs suck as a team then you guys suck as fans. Letting Baltimore invade your home field and make it a home game. And don’t say it was because they were down because they were out cheering the home crowd from kickoff. Hey Dallas is a popular bandwagon destination right now. So hitch yourself to it and GTF outta here.

Oh i bought a couple tickets…. And yall said the same thing at the baltimore game. How bout the whole team shut up and go play. let your performance make us want to buy a ticket, not your crappy ass marketing tactics.
