Jeff Tedford Not At Practice

September 10th, 2014

Tedford rightJoe didn’t see Jeff Tedford on the practice fields of One Buc Palace today. He wasn’t even on the bench wearing a floppy hat with Logan Mankins, Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Michael Johnson.

Per Roy Cummings, of The Tampa Tribune, Tedford was off on personal medical business.

Joe’s got his fingers crossed.

I don’t see how this poor man’s heart problems are expected to improve without addressing the root cause: lack of NFL starting talent on the Oline!

  2. RastaMon Says:

    OK…so he couldn’t get a 8 AM appointment…BWayhahahaha…don’t even bother with such lame,insulting excuses

  3. DallasBuc Says:

…I guess we could add lack of NFL starting QB to the root cause as well!

  4. Buc1987 Says:

All this damn wait and speculation on this O, then the guy has surgery, so it’s more wait.

This O had better be something special…I’m not my breathe though.

Dallas…I’m with Joe. I think the O-line did pretty decent against a tough Panthers D.

I saw more than a few times where McCown had plenty of time to throw the ball. He just didn’t throw it.

Right now the person I’m most upset with is Lovie.

The player I’m most upset with is McClown of course. I suppose it’s not his fault though they hired is sorry ass. So then it all falls back on Lovie. It comes full circle.

For all the residents of GOOBERVILLE(Big Dogs words not mine). The Bucs lost the first half of the game and won the second half. They were in position to win or tie the game at the end. JM took a sack in the first half that took us out of field goal range, I know no guarranties but we will never know and it was a really long drive to start the 2nd half. The sky is not falling. The offense played like a new unit and looked nervous. The Carolina defense is top 5. Given the newness as a whole i am encouraged.

  8. DallasBuc Says:

Buc1987- regarding how the oline played I disagree. Just because they blocked well here and there does not mean they weren’t completely dominated most of the game. Watch it again. They crashed our line so hard in the first half when we tried to run it was hard to rewatch. The pass pro was bad too but that is because in part we got behind down and distance so play action was ignored. You can’t pick out a couple of good plays at the end when the Panther D was mailing it in and call the whole product good.
That all being said, Lovie and his lapdog are responsible for that sht show we saw Sunday and for putting that highly unsuccessful backup QB as our starter in March. Everyone knows where I stand on this ad nauseum!

Time for you to become a cOWBOYS fan

  11. DallasBuc Says:

Joesucfan- not going anywhere. Time for you and the other fanboys on this site to stop complaining about me and start complaining about our bad QB, bad oline, terrible RDE and poor decision-making by do-no-wrong Lovie and his lapdog GM!

Actually I never knew the proper way to wash a swim suit….thanks Joe..banner ad audio over ride…..

  13. BucFan20 Says:

Are you kidding me?? So never build an offense that can out play a defense with no problem that is a #5 defense? You want to be nervous go back to high school.

Not saying that at all just think with sometime they will be able to handle a Top 5 D

I don’t think the warranty will be honored on that washing machine any longer.

  17. CC Says:

    Bad O line + Back up QB= Lovie’s men.

  18. Mr. Mudge Says:

Yeah, cuz complaining about the team makes such a difference. Miserable pricks on this site, so sure their emotional reactions are based in reality. Ridiculous.

  19. CC Says:

    @Joesucfan
I have been watching Buc football here in Tampa Bay for 30 years. That was one of the worst offensive performances I have seen. And I’ve seen alot of shitty play here. I was embarrassed once again to be a Buccaneers fan. I will continue to support them, but damn. I hope Tedford is back this week and calling plays. I’m pretty sure most fans like myself are tired of the excuses.

  20. CC Says:

Hey Mudge… do you pay for a season ticket or do you sit at home and watch from your couch?

  21. BUCSLEGENDS Says:

Damn, dude. It is what it is. If the team pisses you off so much go root for another one. Obviously you have severe disdain for nearly half the starting players and all leadership. You’re not a Bucs fan, obviously. I don’t get it. One effing game and you’re ready to blow up the whole roster and front office. What would that accomplish? Some times it takes a little time, you need to be patient or maybe just start rooting for the other team that came into the league in 1976.

Hey Mudge… do you pay for a season ticket or do you sit at home and watch from your couch?

    Doesn’t matter:
    1. Your complaints don’t make a difference. They only make you feel worse.
    2. Excessive complaints after one game are unreasonable.

Fair criticisms are reasonable. Constant complaining and badmouthing the organization, with no recognition that one’s emotional reactions are not necessarily factual, is beyond annoying.

  25. DallasBuc Says:

Brandon- you are another member of the fan police squad. If you don’t like what I have to say then don’t read it or find a way to deal with it. Not going to stop criticizing the poor decisions and bad players until they make better decisions and start playing better. As Lovie tends to say every other sentence: “it’s kinda simple as that”!

  26. Mr. Mudge Says:

^^ So basically you’re saying you’re gonna cry until you get your way. Are you 3 years old?

  27. Love and Warrick Dunn Says:

    @Dallas

I’m curious, where were you when Mark Dominik turned this team into a dumpster fire over 5 seasons of pain?

Sometimes, it takes more than 8 months to fix 5 years of crapping the bed and drafting the god awful Josh Freeman.

I’m not saying they will do it, but, I’m not going to kill them after one game when there was so much on this team to fix.

It takes time to cleanse the stench of Dominik out of OBP. Maybe I missed your complaints about Dominik. He had an entire 5 seasons. You have given these guys one offseason and one game.

  28. Mr. Mudge Says:

Essentially, the constant complainers are saying the following:

“I’m going to be a miserable a$$h0le every day on this site until reality magically aligns itself with my wishes. Because the world revolves around me, of course. And I don’t care if I make other people miserable in the process.”

    Great way to live.

  29. DallasBuc Says:

^^^yes me magoo I’m 3 because I am unhappy that my football team played like crap Sunday. I guess being a grown up is acting like it doesn’t matter that your team pooped themselves at home in the season opener. Call me names if but I’m not sorry that it pisses me off. It should piss you off too but what do I know, I’m just 3!

  30. Mr. Mudge Says:

^^ That response didn’t make you look any more reasonable either.

  31. DallasBuc Says:

Listen mr magoo, if you don’t like what other people have to say then don’t read it. You complaining about people complaining is a little ironic. At least we are talking about football which is kinda the point. You are just talking about other people and ya know, complaining!

  32. Mr. Mudge Says:

I don’t think I’m complaining. I’m making accurate and reasonable comments about your asinine and unreasonable whining and complaining.

  33. DallasBuc Says:

Mr magoo- “I don’t think I’m complaining. I’m making accurate and reasonable comments about your asinine and unreasonable whining and complaining.”
Ok so if Buc fans come to a Bucs site to express their opinions (sometimes negative) they are being asinine and unreasonable whiners when their opinions do not line up with yours. Sorry pal but that hardly sounds accurate or reasonable since this is exactly the type of place where Buc fans should express their views on all things Bucs and should not be shouted down by the fan police squad which you are clearly a member of.

  34. Mr. Mudge Says:

That “mr. magoo” stuff sure is clever. How do you come up with such original material?

Well, people here trade opinions. My opinion is that fair assessments of the performance of the team on Sunday are worthwhile. They played like crap. McCown looked terrible, etc… But you and others take it a step beyond with your complaining. I hear a lot of sky-is-falling rhetoric, a lot of crying for Incognito (still), a lot of second guessing everything over and over and over… That is being a crybaby and a whiner, especially when they’ve only played one game. So, I think the doomsayers and constant complainers should be called out… Of course it makes no difference, because all you want to do is complain anyway, and I guess JBF is the best place to continue to vent your crybaby complaints and irrational snap-judgements…

  35. Patrickbucs Says:

    @ Dallas

I actually think I realized what you do with ALL of your free time? You scout for Jerry and your on his Cowboys boards being positive and need an outlet to take out your frustrations. Of course 50 plus Pct of that stadium isn’t occupied by opposing big market teams says TampaDallasFan! Most males hit the gym or date someone of the opposite sex but you hit key boards

  36. DallasBuc Says:

Patrick- that is a strange little imagination you have there. I think you were trying to make fun of me in some odd cowboy themed gay manner. Whatever it is you were going after I’m sure it made you very happy and I’m happy for you buddy!

  37. Buc1987 Says:

    Mr. Mudge …welcome to JBF.

  38. Buc1987 Says:

DallasBuc …I was there and left in disgust btw. Left after McCown threw that horrific pick. What was it early 4th qrtr?

However prior to that considering how very very good the Panthers front 7 is, I think it could have been much worse. You are right though about the run blocking.

So that what I meant by what I said earlier. I could have and should have been much worse. IMO. I know could have been and should have been much worse is still pretty sucky though. So we don’t disagree all that much. Ya see.

  39. Buc1987 Says:

    Typos galore. I need sleep.

    “So what I meant”

    “It could have”

  40. Camby Says:

Here’s a prediction- Tedford (understandably) takes it slow and easy this season, then retires after the season due to health issues. I don’t say this in anger, just after major heart issues may not be the best time to try and live up to wayyy too much pressure here to magically awaken a horrible offense.

My suggestion- hire anyone who’s worked w Chip Kelly, and draft O Line with every single draft pick unless Winston is available at the Bucs spot (quite possible)

  41. Mr. Mudge Says:

    @CAmby-
Yeah, let’s plan another O-line overhaul (!?!?!)… Duh… uhh, no… Let’s see how the guys they’ve assembled turn out by the end of the year before making such plans. They also have some young talent in Edwards, Pamphile, Johnson, and perhaps Gilkey. All those guys may develop over the course of the year – that’s 2 1st year guys and 2 2nd year guys. The needle is pointed up for them… By the end of the year, our view of the O-line talent could be quite different, and then with another whole offseason this could become a pretty decent, relatively young, unit. My guess is they’ll still draft one O-lineman relatively early, since Mankins is not a youngster.
