“He Was On Top Of Everything”
September 3rd, 2014Tom Brady has cried about the loss of his All-Pro left guard Logan Mankins.
Poor Brady. Josh McCown understands his pain.
“I see why. Logan is first class. He’s a pro. He was inserted in the first day and he was on top of everything with minimal kind of study time or preparation time relative to the rest of us. Man, he’s been awesome. So I understand [Brady’s] frustration,” McCown said at One Buc Palace this afternoon.
This has to be music to every Bucs fans’ ears. Damn, Joe is fired up.
It is said that great players raise the play of those around them. What a bonus it would be if Mankins could elevate the performances of Anthony Collins and Evan Dietrich-Smith, the men he’ll be sandwiched in between on the Bucs’ offensive line.

Hopefully Logan can shake off the shell shock of being traded. I bet Josh is sleeping so much better now!

Don’t you just have the feeling that Mankins is really going to be an excellent BUC?
September 3rd, 2014 at 1:42 pm
Easy to look good as a descent OLmen playing in front of Tom Brady…in case you have not seen him play live, you have NO real idea of his arm and the throws he makes….

I hear from my pats fan friend that this guy creates huge running lanes and will lead all the way down the field

Hey Joe, the previous article about Doug Martin keeps coming up with a 404 error .
[Working fine on Joe’s end. Just read it. — Joe.]

Nevermind it fixed itself.

Future Hall of Famer for sure, Logan will play well and the rest of his line mates will feed off what he brings to the table!!! 🙂
September 3rd, 2014 at 1:55 pm
HUGE up-grade, I can’t wait for game 1 !!!!!!
September 3rd, 2014 at 2:00 pm
I’m his fan from day 1.
MUSTACHE FAN.
September 3rd, 2014 at 2:00 pm
He is why I took doug martin in fantasy!
September 3rd, 2014 at 2:06 pm
Love the Mustache. that is most outstanding.
September 3rd, 2014 at 2:08 pm
Man if Muscle Hamster could get 100 yards Sunday that sure would help.
September 3rd, 2014 at 2:12 pm
Hopefully Mankins can help one of of our young guards step up to fill the void on the right. Leadership matters, and from everything I’ve heard Mankins has it.
September 3rd, 2014 at 2:14 pm
Cheers to mankins. Here’s to a healthy and successful yr.
September 3rd, 2014 at 2:14 pm
Malloy still can’t believe the Bucs replaced their
turnstile right guard with Logan Freakin’ Mankins.
This, at first glance, appears to be a supernatural
act of genius performed by JL. Lets hope it pans out
that way and equates to wins.
Again Malloy asks:”Who’s the ‘Rock-Star’ GM now?”
September 3rd, 2014 at 2:18 pm
The Bucs would be,as a football team on game day, 100% better with Richie at the other guard position !!!!!!100%…..
September 3rd, 2014 at 2:20 pm
Best way to cure shell shock……PLAY FOOTBALL!!!
September 3rd, 2014 at 2:22 pm
I’m trying to find something negative to say about this news so I can at least be like some of the other posters around here, but for the life of me I just can’t. Mankins getting up to speed quickly is nothing but positivity.
September 3rd, 2014 at 2:22 pm
Free Richie!!!
September 3rd, 2014 at 2:23 pm
^Ritchie isn’t captive. He’s a victim of his own choices. Nothing to free.
September 3rd, 2014 at 2:36 pm
I hope we sign Incognito too, and it is said we are just waiting for the season to open so we can work out a new contract on him.
This is what some of my football buddies think, and I hope it is true.
I can’t wait to see Mankins flattening linebackers when he pulls.
September 3rd, 2014 at 2:42 pm
I watched draft day last night, so I know how this GM stuff works.
licht got worked on this deal.
September 3rd, 2014 at 2:53 pm
Too funny that Mankins wasn’t the guy that the Bucs started the trade talks for with the Patriots back in early July. It was his back-up. I’m just glad Mankins didn’t take the pay cut Bilicheat wanted/asked him to take or we wouldn’t have got him. Licht got lucky.

I liked the way Dough was hitting the hole in Buffalo…..
He does not need that much of a hole the way he hits it.
A running game will MAKE this offense work.
September 3rd, 2014 at 3:43 pm
fingers crossed. every time an organization nabs a player or coach from the patriots organization, they hope they are bringing with them Bill Belichick’s magical map to the Fountain of Wins. Generally, teams and fans are disappointed. let’s hope logan was allowed to pack up his patriot mojo and bring it with him to Tampa
September 3rd, 2014 at 3:46 pm
Eric, I also drafted Doug “The Cannonball” Martin for my fantasy team’s RB now that we have Mankins, dude is a road grater. Too bad the other spot is going to be a coin flip. Incognito would have been nice, but L&L knows best.
September 3rd, 2014 at 4:05 pm
Wow. robert9 watched a movie last night and now he knows how this GM stuff works, and we got hosed in the deal he says. If a movie can make you an expert overnight, why do GM’s get paid so much?
September 3rd, 2014 at 5:23 pm
Lynch, did you mean Josh Freeman is sleeping better now? I didn’t know he had a problem with that:}
September 3rd, 2014 at 5:44 pm
Damn fools, trading for a multiple time pro bowler……..
September 3rd, 2014 at 6:07 pm
Freeman ? did you just wake up from a long sleep ??
September 4th, 2014 at 12:40 am
@rastamon Stop beating that drum. Face it your man Crush Richie isn’t going to be a Buccaneer.
September 4th, 2014 at 7:43 am
I still don’t know if I feel better with Mankins, or with Incognito, plus still having Tim Wright and a fourth-rounder.
