GMC Doesn’t Want Credit
September 28th, 2014The Bucs’ locker room was jubilant after the game, as one can imagine.
Coming from behind after playing lousy football against a team like the Steelers in their own crib, well, that doesn’t happen too often. And the players knew it. They knew what mountain they had just climbed.
One could point to Mike Glennon for engineering the last-minute rally. One could point to Michael Johnson who finally showed up and got a pair of sacks on Ben Roethlisberger.
One could credit Gerald McCoy, the unquestioned team leader, who played with one hand today, his left hand broken forcing him to change his game.
When GNC was asked if he should get some credit after the game, he winced like someone just hit his maimed his hand with a baseball bat.
There will be no credit given to individuals, GMC said in so many words. Teams with together, he said.
“Who cares who gets the credit,” GMC grimaced. “We got the win. We have to work together, offense and defense, to get a win. I could[n’t] care less who gets the credit. The credit I care about is the win.”
GMC admitted that his left hand hindered his play but stated it was his job to adjust accordingly.
“I couldn’t really grab with my left hand,” GMC said. “That is why I missed so many tackles. I couldn’t grab on.”
GMC noted he had to play more of a power game than finesse because of his left hand. As for the pass he batted down with his injured paw, GMC shrugged and said, “Yeah, it hurt.”

I’ve alway believed that good leaders take the blame when things go wrong and share the credit when things go well! GMC is a good Leader for this defense!

Team defense…. The defense as a whole is what matters. Everyone showed up but those corners…. We won in spite of them

Guys if you can help me your help would be greatly appreciated. I’m looking for a friend who went missing today. His name is Waldo McCoy. He was last seen in the second quarter of the game and then he disappeared. He just mysteriously vanished. If you see him please tell him that we are looking for him. Please. We are worried about his safety n well being. I already filed a missing person report. Maybe Joe can put an APB out of something.

“One could credit Gerald McCoy, the unquestioned team leader”
Ummm Joe I think we have 2 leaders now. One is GMC and the other is The Cannon.
That’s right I said it. Glennon is one of the new leaders of this team and the players know it now.

A power game. Hmmmn. This could end up causing McCoy to refine his game and add new options that will increases his effectiveness. If he can do finesse and bull rush…wow.
Better than the other guy that got picked ahead of him.

Only the pathetic fans here would come out and criticize its teams best player, even while playing with broken hand, after a HUGE win. Would guess it’s mostly the Glennon haters lookin for anything to “hate” about. Some “fans” here are truly despicable, definitely NOT true fans of THIS team and I don’t care what you say to justify your BS.
