Tom Brady Is Peeved
August 28th, 2014Bucs fans wondered how Josh McCown would stay upright three weeks into the regular season the way the offensive line, specifically the guards, were (not) blocking. After just one preseason game, McCown’s life insurance policy was canceled.
This all changed when Bucs general manager Jason Licht went out and obtained All-Pro guard Logan Mankins from the clutches of Bill Belicheat.
But just like McCown maybe have felt like Christmas came early for him, the star quarterbacks of the Patriots, future Hall of Famer Tom Brady, is incensed, per the mouth of Jason Cole of the Bleacher Report.
Cole later appeared on WBZ-FM 98.5 to discuss Brady’s outrage.
“Tom Brady had a very emotional reaction to what happened yesterday,” Jason Cole said on Bleacher Report’s Insider Buzz. “He was not happy with this move. There’s usually a very special bond that you have between offensive linemen and quarterbacks.
”Brady initially, he was very upset about this trade,” Cole added. “We’ll see how he reacts going forward. He usually finds his calm after a day or two. [Brady] was “a little bit angry, a little disappointed, a little sad” about the trade. “That’s the kind of emotional reaction you’re getting [from Brady].”
Joe thinks it is cool that Brady is mad. No, not that Joe gives a rip about Brady. But if Brady is upset, that means Mankins was a valuable commodity to Brady’s health. And if Brady is peeved Mankins is gone, Bucs fans should be raising a glass tonight as the football season begins in earnest. Finally!

Anytime Pats players, coaches, fans are pissed, it makes my day. I simply hate them.
August 28th, 2014 at 8:07 am
Brady has really gotten screwed by the Patriots. I bet now he wishes he had taken the money.
August 28th, 2014 at 8:09 am
Brady really got used by the Patriots. I bet now he wishes he had taken the money.

Brady really got used by the Patriots. He must wish now he had taken the money.
August 28th, 2014 at 8:11 am
Boston can suck it!
August 28th, 2014 at 8:12 am
When is Mankins arriving?
August 28th, 2014 at 8:16 am
BUCK FOSTON!
August 28th, 2014 at 8:28 am
By all means, I’ll give you McCown and Glennon for Tom Brady and Gisele, right now.
August 28th, 2014 at 8:31 am
Joe you need to get some stories from mankins about schiano. They must have had some inside jokes about him or something.
August 28th, 2014 at 8:31 am
Glennon should be mad they got Tim Wright but you don’t see him whining!!!
August 28th, 2014 at 8:38 am
Look at it this way: The tide may have turned and the Bucs finally get to poach the Patriots.
But the proof will be results on the field, not paper
August 28th, 2014 at 8:41 am
If Glennonis mad after all offensive weapon they added last draft, he’s an idiot
August 28th, 2014 at 8:43 am
Brady can follow his buddy to Tampa. That would be nice
August 28th, 2014 at 8:52 am
Tom Brady now has nobody to high five.
Oh wait…
August 28th, 2014 at 8:54 am
I read somewhere that there were plans for the world’s largest zoo to be built in Boston until they got a quote on how expensive it would be to put a fence around the entire city. Wa Wa Wa!
August 28th, 2014 at 9:07 am
I feel obligated to point out that our entire offensive line has been a mess, so fixing one spot out of five does not fully address the issues.
August 28th, 2014 at 9:11 am
I’d imagine life has gotta be pretty tough for Brady. I bet hes wallowing around his McMansion giving Giselle dirty looks and wiping baby tears away with a Kleenex holder full of benjamins. Salad days in the Brady household.
August 28th, 2014 at 9:13 am
Ummm no forget Tom Brady!!!! If the patriots didn’t want to give up this backup guard i don’t assume that they wanted to get rid of a guy like that just because of money, that backup guard must be something special
August 28th, 2014 at 9:14 am
New England has Jimmy Garofolo, and with that being said, Brady knows that after he schools his new rookie protege, he is next!
August 28th, 2014 at 9:16 am
You gotta feel for Brady. I bet he’s wallowing around in his McMansion right now, giving Giselle dirty looks as she tells him “now you have to f%cking throw the ball and block for yourself at the same time!” All the while he wipes away tears with his tissue holder full of Benjamins. Salad days in the Brady household.

That’s been the Patriots/Belichick MO for years, get rid of aging overpriced veterans, and get draft picks for them if they can. So far it’s worked for them. Looks like that’s what L&L were doing that as well til they realized they got rid of everybody who could block.
August 28th, 2014 at 9:23 am
Agree with all the Patriot disgust. I loathe that team also. Time for that entire organization to shelter in place, at the bottom of their division.
August 28th, 2014 at 9:35 am
Logan is obviously an upgrade over tweedle dum but this guy will not have take a single live snap with the team and about a week and a half to catch up on an offense that has no coordinator. While an unprepared Logan is better anything we had at that spot you can’t expect much from this new oline, especially early.

Pretty sure I read the exact same things after Welker left and it didn’t matter at all in the end. The media being the media.
August 28th, 2014 at 9:56 am
Remember the day a hit was about to be put on Clayborn for throwing his blocker into this putz?
August 28th, 2014 at 9:57 am
Well we got a center who started for the packers, LT that played a lot for the Bengals, and a guard who made multiple pro bowls for the pats.
All playoff teams.
Ought to be a good line in there somewhere.
But I agree that unit has to have a lot more reps before we know what we have, and its a work in progress.
Its scary but I prefer it to the same old same old we had before with a group that didn’t get the job done.
August 28th, 2014 at 10:04 am
We took the best center Green bay had and now we took the best guard New England had….. Lets keep the trend going, lol.
August 28th, 2014 at 10:20 am
We’ll see. Aaron Rodgers was PO’d that EDS was signed by the Bucs, too, and he’s looked decidedly average this preseason.
August 28th, 2014 at 11:24 am
Bull Sh#T, There’s no way FRIC n’ FRAC didn’t have communication on this move.
After Lawyer Milloy was traded.
Bill made it a point to gain his quarterbacks trust & confidence. They meet every freaking day to go over EVERYTHING.
There’s no secret Jose Kline was on the rise
Josh Kline lined up at left guard last year, when the Patriots beat Baltimore. And the offense didn’t miss a beat.
The Boston Globe’s Zuri Berry said second-year G Josh Kline has been a “fast riser” in Patriots camp.
Kline earned the start at right guard in the Patriots’ preseason opener while Dan Connolly started at center. With New England still searching for the right combination along the interior line, Kline has a real shot to earn a starting role this season. Kline played 115 snaps at left guard in 2013

Just overheard this voicemail in Patriots HQ, hey Bill, Jason here. Thanks for the guard. I heard you pissed off Brady. I know we talked about Mallet a few days ago. How about Brady? You can have Glennon and the rest of my 2015 draft. You have all the cap room you need. I gave you Revis . You play in the AFC Least I mean East. You’d be able to draft and retool for another long run. Hey, both of our teams have not won it all in a while. You give me Brady, and I’ll give you a lifetime contract if Mr. Kraft fires you. I’ll through in Bowers if will help. Talk to you soon.

People only hate on the Pats because of how good they are. Bill Bilichick is one of the greatest coaches of all time. Hopefully Lovie and Licht can make us a perennial contender so other teams can hate us for how dominate we are just like in the good ol kiffin days
August 28th, 2014 at 12:01 pm
@whocares92
I hate the Pats because it’s the closest team to my location in Canada and I’m stuck watching them week in, week out. They are an arrogant bunch and since they got caught cheating, they won NOTHING. Plus look at their division, it might be the easiest: The Bills, the Dolphins and the Jets.
Everytime Bilicheat make a roster move there is 102978410417 so called analysts that praise the move.
I absolutely hate them.
August 28th, 2014 at 12:48 pm
bradys just pissed cause he knows he’s next.
it’s business, and the pats seem to be the only team in the league who treat it as such.
if you want a friend buy a dog. the words of my mentor.
August 28th, 2014 at 1:53 pm
I have nothing against the Pats at all. They did things few teams have succeeded at. They are the measuring stick.
The accusations of “cheating” mean nothing. It was brief, and their record of winning is long.
Even the haters here have to admit that if the Bucs did as well as the Pats they would be happy.
