Remembering Malcolm Glazer
August 6th, 2014The Bucs announced today a way for both the team and fans to remember former owner Malcolm Glazer throughout the 2014 season. Mr. Glazer, the late Bucs owner, passed away May 28.
Mr. Glazer bought the Bucs from the trust of franchise founder Hugh Culverhouse in January 1995, and captained the Tampa Bay ship to unprecedented success, culminating with the team’s lone Super Bowl victory following the 2002 season.
A black circular patch will be worn with white letters “MG” for Mr. Glazer’s initials. It will be worn all season, debuting with the season opener Sept. 7 as the Bucs host the Panthers. A video tribute to Mr. Glazer will be shown to fans attending.
