Gerald McCoy On Fire
August 8th, 2014For fans grappling tonight for their car keys to race to the Sunshine Skyway Bridge after watching that screen door on a submarine of an offensive line display, Joe has something more smoothing than Crown Royal on the rocks.
Gerald McCoy was unblockable tonight (no, smart alecks, GMC was not playing against the Bucs’ offensive line). In the first appearance by the defense this preseason, GMC was everywhere. If he wasn’t putting pressure on the quarterback, then he was blowing up a run play in the backfield or chasing down running backs from behind.
GMC was simply unstoppable.
Joe should have seen this coming. Hall of Famer Warren Sapp crowed about GMC having a breakout year. In training camp, GMC has played like a man possessed.
“It felt good to finally go against someone else,” GMC said. “We’ve been hitting against our own team for a long time, and to finally get to hit another team is good. We played a lot of base defense, so it’s really a lot of man-on-man and seeing what our defense is really about.”
The defense seems to be all bout smothering opponents.
In Friday’s game against the Jags, GMC was like a man playing with boys; toying with boys.
Damn that former Bucs rock star general manager Mark Dominik.

^^^um yeah. Huh?

Never a doubt! One of two players that are solid beyond a doubt!

“Damn that former Bucs rock star general manager Mark Dominik.”
I’ll one up you on the fan hate-o-meter Joe, damn that Greg Schiano for teaching GMC techniques that kept him healthier and helped make him the pro bowl player he became once Schiano coached him
Now that should really fire up the troops 🙂

Wow Joe. Could have left off the Dominick remark. Didn’t we pick second that year? So he gets one high draft pick right and you want to crown him? He had many many more failures. Not just in the draft but in resigning and overpaying many overrated players.

He was the third overall pick in the draft. Hardly a “find” for Dominik.

Is That how they do it in China?????????

I don’t know how to do frowny faces or anything but bro?

The Bucs need to lock him up to a new contract ASAP.

Early bet
Defensive player of the year will come down to Darrelle Revis or Gerald McCoy.
Joe and Toes- nice try, but no.
There wasn’t a mock draft in the world that didn’t have those 3 as top 3 picks.
Even a monkey could have gotten that right. Which was about the only one he did get right.
That idiot Schiano held back our entire D-Line. That idiot wasted Two years of All of our lives. McCoy said he went in a begged the lil idiot to let the line rush- but Schiano still kept running those stupid stunts.

Dominik?????
You act like he found him in the 4th round.
McCoy was chosen by default. Overwhelming the best player on the board at #3 when the Bucs drafted for need like they always did under Dominik.

I have officially seen the dumbest remark ever by one of the Gregory Holdouts.
And that says a lot.
August 9th, 2014 at 8:40 am
dominik?
are you kidding joe?
mccoy was the easiest, safest pick EVER
everybody knew he was the #3 pick!!

McCoy and the defense looked great. Even without the two starting corners the team it didn’t hurt them.
August 9th, 2014 at 10:47 am
Joe, you’ll get more credibility if you congratulate Dominik for players that succeeded that he actually drafted in later rounds. Not by mentioning McCoy.
Even people in Europe knew McCoy was the best player on the board when we picked that year.

Revis Island doesn’t exist anymore, never will. Hurricane Age and ACL took care of that.
