Around The NFC South

August 5th, 2014

The Bucs play a total of six games a year against the hated Dixie Chicks, the Stinkin’ Panthers, and the bounty-loving Saints. For those who want to snoop on the Bucs’ hated rivals, Joe provides a regular glimpse at what’s happening around the NFC South.

Drew Brees talks about Brandin Cooks being a “natural” and the drive to have the NFL’s No. 1 offense. [NFL.com video]

Looks like Greg Hardy’s legal appeal will kill any shot he gets suspended for the opener against Tampa Bay. [Charlotte Observer]

I almost threw up looking at this. Such a necessary evil to know your opponent. I need instant buc coverage to wash this taste outta my mouth Joe.

Joe advises you to scroll down. lol –Joe

If adrian slowborn is on the field during the atlanta games, you can bet that Matthews will shut him down.

  3. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Realist, no joke, you need some help. It was funny, but now it’s just downright scary.

  4. Couch Fan Says:

Lol its no different than the fools who continuously bash Glennon. Atleast Clayborn has a few years under his belt for TBR to judge him off of.

  5. Buccfan37 Says:

Gotta play against one of the best in Hardy to see where you stand. I wonder what the over under for sacks by Hardy will be against the Bucs. Glad Matthews is not with the Aints. This feature gives Buc fans more to think about the division foes. Cut Clayborn some slack, he has the ability to surprise.

This should be interesting, Rice gets two games and is not convected of anything,(of course the video exists) Hardy is convected, so far, ( and gives up ten weapons) and gets …..?

    What say you?

  7. Ra'Shad Says:

    @ OB

There’s video evidence of Ray’s incident. Hardy is appealing his case. therefore the league can not suspend him for that charge. It’s kinda like he is still innocent.

That picture reminds me of Walter White. I miss BB 🙁

Carolina lost 3/4ths of an already weak secondary in Free Agency. They lost their All pro left tackle and replaced him with someone who couldn’t start on our weak line. Then they lost all of their starting wide receivers and replaced them with a rookie and two journeyman possession receivers. They have a good front seven on defense and an above-average quarterback (who is a bit of a head case). Can’t see them being better than 8-8 and more likely a 6 win team. Atlanta has bolstered their offensive line–no doubt–but they lost their best linebacker and have done little if anything to improve a pass rush that was as bad as ours and a secondary that is weaker. They will improve, but don’t scare you like they did a couple of years ago. New Orleans is the team to beat in the NFC South. Bucaneers are a year or two away but should finish 2nd.

Atlanta losing TE Gonzalez will be their biggest loss. I remember so many third down situations where he helped them a lot in but at the same time they have Julio and White back at the same time, hopefully Leonard Johnson doesn’t chase him from behind again.

I love this new feature. It sucks knowing when any of them fools is doing something positive, but it’s better than being surprised by it.

    P.S. Joe,

If you are thinking about bringing back “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow,” when the season starts, I vote yes please. Loved that. Even on a sh!tty Monday (most were last year) it was something to look forward to.

If you watch NFL Network or ESPN, you would think there are only three teams in the NFC South. They never even mention the Buccaneers. Oh well, it will just be that much sweeter when we light them up this year.
