In this “Fact or Fiction” segment with Maggie Gray and fight-instigating, barista-training, pedestrian-bumping, olive oil-lappingpopcorn-munchingcoffee-slurpingfried-chicken-eatingoatmeal-lovingcircle-jerkingbeer-chuggingcricket-watchingscone-loathingcollege football-naïve, baseball box score-reading Peter King of SI.com, King explains why Johnny Football is the best quarterback prospect in next week’s NFL draft.

King’s opinion of Johnny Football was buttressed by traveling around the United States talking with quarterback experts to gain feedback on what they thought of the favorite son of Kerrville, Tex. It’s all in the SI.com video below.

While Peter King may think so Shaun ‘hatin on the white QBs’ King would disagree with that assessment.

Fact: If Johnny ever views this website he will refuse to play for the Bucs

Mayday! Mayday! The Manziel Mob Madness is reaching a crescendo.

  12. Bucs Draft Says:

Johnny goes to Houston or Jags. Listening to NFL Sirius and they are talking about Teddy slipping to the 2nd and the Bucs taking him then.

  13. ToesOnTheLine Says:

2nd round or later for any QB for Tampa, there are simply far more pressing needs to address this year than a QB that will need to develop for a year.

  14. kh Says:

Fact: Joe’s daily posts about Johnny Football are so tiresome it’s lost him views and readers.

That’s funny for four reasons: One, it’s inaccurate. Joe’s traffic is better than ever and the gap between the popularity of this site versus other Bucs sites has widened. Two, you keep coming back — and complaining. Three, Joe writes about what Joe’s interested in as it relates to the Bucs. Joe’s been doing the same thing since 2008. Four, if Joe was losing readers because of writing about Johnny Football, or anything else, then that would be fine with Joe. Joe only writes about what Joe’s interested in. If fans don’t like that, then so be it.–Joe

Forget all the QBs this year, tank, and pick up Jamis Winston next year. Plenty of Publix stores in the Bay area!

  21. White Tiger Says:

…I agree, although I didn’t originally agree that Johnny Football was a worthy selection in the 1st round…it was NOT Peter King’s assessment that changed my mind.

…it was only after watching his performance on Chucky’s QB Camp with Manziel. The kid came off as smart, a guy who played the way he did because that’s what his protection forced him to do. He has great arm strength, can move, knows when and why he made mistakes (as well as knowing what he should do next time). He’s obviously a leader and made a difference in the field.

The ONLY knock on him is his durability – he’s already taken a ton of abuse and will only face more the higher he’s selected.

  22. bucrightoff Says:

Manziel had terrible protection? Weird, cause A&M is about to have potentially back to back top 5 choices at OLine…
