Never Good When Your OC Quotes Kipling

December 19th, 2013

These are tough times for West Point grad and former Army officer Mike Sullivan, the Bucs’ offensive coordinator, who took to the One Buc Palace podium yesterday to answer questions about the NFL’s worst offense.

You can listen to the full 620wdae.com audio below. Sullivan, as usual, is fully accountable. Asked early about whether he might be distracted, Sullivan quotes poet Rudyard Kipling to explain his focused approach to his job. That was moving and admirable, but another bad sign for Sullivan’s Buccaneers future.

I love football and I love the Bucs. I spend all off season anxiously waiting for the season to begin and I dont think I’ve ever been more ready for a season to end than I am this year. And sadly, I’m not looking forward to next year with this coaching staff.

Rudyard Kipling is the sh_t. My dad was British and had a book full of his poems. (Which I have now) He wrote alot about soldiers and war, so I’m sure his poetry hits home with a lot of military personnel.

I doubt Schiano can quote one single poem. From anyone. And Dr Seuss doesnt count.
