Joel Glazer Likes What He Sees
November 24th, 2013So many Bucs fans, annoyed that Team Glazer rarely discusses the Bucs publicly, demand the rarity — that Team Glazer issue some sort statement of their feelings about the State of the Bucs.
Well fans got their wish, sort of. Woody Cummings of the Tampa Tribune corralled Bucs co-chairman Joel Glazer in the bowels of Ford Field after the Bucs’ improbable 24-21 win at Detroit and got a few words from Glazer.
In short, Glazer likes what he sees (the last three weeks, that is) and apparently likes and respects Bucs commander Greg Schiano.
@RCummingsTBO: Bucs co-chairman Joel Glazer on Bucs coach Greg Schiano: “The team never doubted him in the Locker room.” … On last three wins: “speaks volumes about Greg”
Joe doesn’t know if that is what one would call a vote of confidence, but it does suggest Team Glazer is impressed by the turnaround.
December is a big month for Schiano. Team Glazer puts a lot of stock into how a team finishes a season. Joe wouldn’t be shocked if Schiano can squirrel away a couple of more wins, then he will return for 2014.

I think that this speaks volumes Buc fans, and The owners say nothing about the pop-star that was on the wrong side of the fence with sleepy Jfro. Pop-star on Probation????
only time will tell…

Exactly!
Freeman is the rat.

All these “meaningless” except for Detroit & Schiano….

“meaningless” wins….

So do we – and I guarantee this what is what both him and Brian told coach in their meeting several weeks ago.

A win is never “meaningless”…building chemistry, comradery, and the belief that you should win is priceless.

@ mark2001
I am being facetious…that’s why the quotes…..no game is meaningless…..thats why they play…to win.
Many would rather have higher draft picks….higher draft picks are consolation prizes for LOSERS!!!

I give Schiano credit…I had written off the Italian Stallion a month ago. He’s showing us something…and appears to be wise to have had faith in Glennon.

Joel Glazer…smiling. …I guess money can buy happiness

Oh now they can speak. After 8 games of losing silence, after 3 wins the Glazers find their voice….lol

Give the coach credit. He is grinding out victories and these guys are playing hard. I

@Tampabaybucfan
Win the Super Bow!!!. Nothing else matters or counts (NO ONE remembers or cares about the team that comes in 2nd,3rd, or 4th place) Every year, its win the Lombardi or BUST.

They are praising a three win coach, give me a break, i wish Mr. Glazer was able to run this team. I guess finishing in third place is worth celebrating for this administration.

I know many of you want the team to tank so we can get that high draft pick to pick some “franchise” QB (something that is not guaranteed, he could bust) and get a new coach (again, could even be worse than Schiano).
But tanking the season is clearly not going to happen.
Schiano has not lost the locker room. And this team will play hard in every game that remains this season. As far as Schiano’s future and Glennon’s future…we will have to play out the rest of the season and see what it looks like after week 17. But at this point, unless we start getting blown out…I think Schiano is staying another year. And we may not be picking a QB in the first round with the way Glennon is playing.

Players and owners back the coach, that’s what matters. Joe you and Big Doggie can cry together on Wednesday.
Someone’s got the wrong take on Joe. Joe is ecstatic to watch winning football. –Joe

Great Game for the Bucs!! Schiano is doing a great job, lets stop the nonsense about Him not coming back He will be back. That statement from the Glazers speaks volumes. BD going to have to bash someone else for a change.
