Statement From Mark Dominik
October 10th, 2013Bucs rock star general manager Mark Dominik offered a few words on the recent news that guard Carl Nicks has had a re-occurrence of his MRSA infection in his left foot, the team announced this afternoon.
“This is a re-occurrence for Carl Nicks of the MRSA in the same place, same location and from everything we’ve been told, this does happen. It’s why MRSA is a bacteria that’s hard to treat.
“I would tell you that in talking to the infectious disease specialist that has been treating Carl and working with us and other professionals, he also confirms and believes strong that this is the same infection.”
In other words, there is no reason to believe that, once again this season, the Bucs locker room has become a Petri dish for MRSA. There is no alarm.

So that guy is still out there somewhere. I heard he was in a secure bunker at an undisclosed location until the Bucs won a game. Lol.
Now as far as the threat of MRSA, if I’m Chip Kelly, I’m using the facilities at USF and busing my people to the stadium. Better safe than sorry.

Its amazing how uninformed the public is on MRSA.
You do know that 1/3rd of the population has this on their skin right now, right?
You can disinfect a facility all you want, but if someone is carrier, they will just reinfect it.

Something they should seriously look into is using colloidal silver to treat this infection. Silver has long been used in various ways and forms for killing bacteria. here is an article on some clinical trials showing its ability to kill MRSA

Maybe Joe can bring this to their attention, it can’t do any harm and may be just the solution they are looking for. Unfortunately traditional medicine and big pharma here in the US do not look kindly on alternative therapies since many are cheap and non patentable such as CS. One can do a search on this phrase “mrsa colloidal silver” to find more info.

No worries they were only looking to score 12 pts this week instead of 10. Not looking for a win, not the Schiano way. He never met a loss he didn’t like.

So much for a healthy O-line to plow the road for DM. Now we have an over-rated LT, a backup LG, average C, over-rated RG, average RT. And if the run game isn’t a threat, Glennon better have an adamantium skeleton or he’s gonna get killed.

This is making it easier to believe Tyne’s infection was job related and might just have a legitimate case against the Bucs.

@ MR.T
There is absolutely ZERO medical evidence to support silver as an effective treatment for infections.
Maybe they could just put leeches on Nicks’ foot and wave a dead chicken over it. That would be about as effective as colloidal silver.

DM has done more with less 😉

This o-line is the most OVERRATED o-line in the league. I don’t care how much they’re paying them

I certainly hope so, PRB. I’m flying from across the country to be there this weekend and would love to pull of a win…

Blame it on Schiano, it has to be his fault!!!

How many games has Nicks played for the Bucs since he was signed last year? I guessing like 6-8 games. 4 last year and 2 or 4 this year. He even had the entire off-season the get healthy. Do the trainers/medical staff know what they are doing here? It doesn’t seem like it.
I like Nicks, but we need him on the playing field, not still nursing a foot/MRSA issues.

If you don’t believe Dominic, Joe, why not ask an expert yourself instead of the sarcasm. Tell us again how much of a fan you are.

Pardon me, poor typing, Dominik.

Where did Joe state he didn’t believe Dominik?

Joe believes every word the one hit wonder GM says.

Dominick’s confirmation of MRSA is very interesting to me. Schiano didn’t want to say what it was publically but Dominick confirmed to the media what it was. I guess Greg Siegheilo can’t control the message as well as he’d like.
