Jeff Demps Goes Under The Knife
October 17th, 2013The NFL is tougher on the body than Olympic Track & Field. Today, it was learned Bucs returner/receiver Jeff Demps had groin surgery after getting injured against the Eagles.
This is unfortunate, considering the Bucs hoped to methodically add packages with Demps to the offense. The threat of Demps’ speed, if not his talent with the ball, was a plus that was just being realized.
Joe wishes Demps well. One would think Eric Page would re-claim the kickoff return role.
Yes, all teams have injuries, but the Bucs are racking up a stunning number this season.

This makes getting to the magical 100 a bit more difficult.

Looks like Mr. Demps is a bit excited about something from the looks of that picture.

why no word on Nicks.

Way to go Mark Dominick!
LeGarrettte Blount is laughing at us even harder.
Talib too.
0-5 is bad.

We can’t win for losing!

Someone put Schiano under the knife.
October 17th, 2013 at 3:06 pm
Obviously this is Schiano’s fault or Dom’s fault. We need to get a GM or a coach in here who can predict injuries and take steps accordingly. Yeah….’Rock Star’ indeed. With all these groin injuries we need a ‘jock star’.

@SteveK
I’d love to hear how you can blame this on Dom…

A foul wind blows the way of the pirate ship these days me mateys.
Wait maybe that’s just the broccoli I had.
October 17th, 2013 at 3:30 pm
Unlucky ’13 rolls on! Awesome…
October 17th, 2013 at 3:35 pm
The swelling in the groin area is quite apparent….Can’t Dominick find players with stronger groins?…or is it coaching…can’t our coaches teach players how to play with their groins?

I think Freeman was playing with his groin in the Michael Jackson photo…

Celly,
We are 0-5, and have won 11 games the last three years.
We trade Blount for an Olympic hurdler, and we get burned for it.
We are 21-45 under Dom, please tell me how it is not his fault?
We are rebuilding for the 6th year in a row now, and Dom’s very first draft pick was OUR BIGGEST BUST in the last 6 years.
Anytime you trade up in the 1st round for a QB, you better make sure they can play.
Where is our SLB, slot WR, TE, depth? Where is anyone on our D-Line that can create their own sacks, oh that’s right we let the only sack-productive sumbitch sign with Seattle.
When, Celly, is it time to give Dom the hook? Do you see him being allowed to find us another HC? Do you see Dom assembling a super bowl team, hell even a playoff team?
October 17th, 2013 at 6:27 pm
Obviously Demps was not ready to play contact football. The team is grasping at straws with this lineup. Improvement must be just around the corner.
October 17th, 2013 at 7:31 pm
God Grant Mr.Demps a speedy recovery
Without the benefit of the conditioning attained during Training Camp, Schiano and Dom should have used Jeff Sparringly, until he was in Football Shape!!!
You bastards! You killed Dempsey!!
Ok, do I win the ” blame this on Dom and Schiano” contest??
Oh lord! The dark reign of the evil Coach Schiano has damned all who come to the Cursed land of OneBuc!!
I say we sacrifice Dom into Tampa Bay, and throw Schianos” Home Depot Coach of the year” ring in the Deep Fryer at Hooters- to try and end this cursed tyranny!
October 17th, 2013 at 8:20 pm
Well that did not last long. Get well soon Jeff.

Demps was never really a true part of the team. Not a real loss at all.
ROBERT4 Says
“why no word on Nicks.”
While trying to pat yourself on the back you may want to look at the earlier stories. There WAS news.
Joe, did you hear the Revis show tonight? Good stuff.
