Harry Douglas Says Bucs Didn’t Focus On Him
October 24th, 2013Trailing 17-7 in the second quarter Sunday, Darrelle Revis was playing zone defense on the right side of the Bucs defense. Falcons top healthy receiver Harry Douglas, thanks to injuries to Roddy White and Julio Jones, was on the opposite side of the field beating rookie Johnthan Banks for the game-winning touchdown.
Douglas was interviewed by Mike Florio on NBC Sports’ ProFootballTalk Live this afternoon and clearly stated that the Bucs didn’t focus on stopping him throughout the game. Douglas, an emerging hero in Atlanta, said he expects more attention in future games after his career day against Tampa Bay.
Douglas said the Falcons simply did a great job being patient and finding the holes in the Bucs’ defense.
Interestingly, on another bomb to Douglas with Leonard Johnson covering him, Douglas said he believed the play call was a no-call — just Matt Ryan walking up to the line of scrimmage and calling a play after he saw the Bucs’ defense.

Now this… is just embarrissing.
It almost sounds as if the Falcons bench beat us playing sandlot football. Making plays up as they go.

Shocker that we didn’t adjust during the game to take him out of it

I would be ok with Garcia as long as carmella came with him. I loved watching her on the pre shows. LOL

The fact that we didn’t focus on Douglas is no shock to anyone who watched the game.
I don’t care about Revis’ health status. Douglas poses no size or speed problems for Revis, even if Revis isn’t 100 percent. If Revis is healthy enough to be on the field, he’s healthy enough to cover Douglas all day. There’s no excuse for not leaving Revis on Douglas.

Dude wtf banks doing there?
Is he serious with this garbage?
Love it when our 2nd round draft pick gets absolutely smoked by a scrub depth guy.
