“This Doesn’t Look Like A Team That Doesn’t Like Their Coach”

September 21st, 2013

Former Giants Pro Bowl center Shaun O’Hara is a Rutgers man and spent time at One Buc Palace this summer tutoring Gerald McCoy.

But it’s the Buccaneers’ game’ film that impresses O’Hara most.

In this excellent Playbook segment from NFL Network, O’Hara, Sterling Sharpe and Brian Baldinger go deep into the tape for the Bucs and Patriots matchup.

“This doesn’t look like a team that doesn’t like their coach,” O’Hara explains about the Bucs.

There are great looks in the video of the Bucs’ goal line stand against the Saints. On the flip side, Baldinger’s film cut-up of Josh Freeman makes No. 5 look amateurish.

  1. bucrightoff Says:

I’m pretty sure Josh Freeman does a good enough job of looking amateurish that Baldinger doesn’t really need to point it out. 5th year players should not still be making rookie mistakes.

  2. Buc1987 Says:

YES Joe. This is what I just watched on NFL Network. Remaining Freemanites need to watch this video that Joe posted. Just watch it before you come in here and start babbling.

  3. Couch Fan Says:

Hope Freeman can get more completions than possessions this week.

  4. Buc1987 Says:

bucrightoff…still somehow his play escapes the Freemanites eyes.

  5. Buc1987 Says:

Just the ball to Dougie. SMH

  6. Buc1987 Says:

I even had this dude wearing an orange Freeman jersey sitting next to me. He was cursing Josh out left and right during the Saints game. It was blatantly obvious for everyone in my section to see all the open receivers. Fans were pissed at him. If I did not have such a great view I might still be on the Freeman bandwagon.

  7. Buc1987 Says:

    Crickets

  8. Tony Says:

again…i’m always wondering how much Free is missing. There is a difference between not screwing up (which at this point is considered ‘good’) and making plays. I have a feeling that Sully is watching the film smacking is head knowing each of these two games could have easily been won. Then for Sully and Schiano to have to deal with this shit storm in the media because their franchise QB can’t see the field must be infuriating. They have hinted at it but can’t come out and flat out say ‘our QB sucks but the rook will be ready after the bye’.

  9. lightningbuc Says:

The silence is deafening from the JFro Jock Sniffers

  10. Ed Says:

What about the 23 yellow flags thrown in two weeks and those are the ones that were accepted. What about a defense that fell short a couple of yards ,of being the worst in the history of the N.F.L.. What about the $100.00 million dollars the Glazer spent to be 0-2. Check this coach record in the last 8 games. Mr. Glazer hire a Pro G.M and a pro coaching staff and then you will see your investment payoff.

  11. Kevin Says:

Josh has looked below average….with that said, he has put this team in a position to win two weeks in a row, and two weeks in a row penalties have screwed us. Look at all the other teams in the league…particularly the big name big market teams…prime time games, not NEARLY as many flags on the EXACT SAME HITS that the bucs are getting called for. Getting sick of this garbage. This league has become crooked more than ever and they are controlling the outcomes of the games. Why should I continue to watch??? This team should be 2-0. Aside from the flags horrible play calling. Get it right BUCS!

  12. Kevin Says:

By the way Drew Brees has the same number of TD’s as INT’s thus far this season. Maybe the saints should let him go

  13. Kevin Says:

AND tom brady has his lowest completion rate since 2009, but thats not the fault of receivers dropping passes that is Toms fault all day long….drop that bum

  14. BucFanForever Says:

    Kevin,

The Saints should let him go. Dom can sign him tonight.

  15. lightningbuc Says:

    Kevin,

You’re a buffoon. Those that want JFro gone don’t want him gone because of the 2 games this season, but his 50+ career starts in its entirety. Comparing Brees to JFro for two games is idiotic.

  16. Buc1987 Says:

    What about Ed.

  17. Rickster07 Says:

Holy moley that break down by baldinger was very telling and highlights the fact that free locks on one target and forces the ball. Open your eyes Kevin get of the damn stats. The saints and Brees are 2-0. Stop comparing winning qbs to losing ones…

  18. Eric Says:

These pro offenses have a lot of moving parts and all.

    Give the guy a break.

  19. csidedave Says:

No, Freeman is not missing those reads. He wants to throw to the right guy but he has been shackled by Schiano. Schiano has insisted that Freeman pick his receiver and watch him all the way through his route even if Josh knows it is the wrong throw. Schiano wants a QB that isn’t a star because he wants to feed his giant ego.

And I can assure you that the entire team believes that Freeman would be an elite QB if only Schiano would let Josh play his game. They all blame the coach for his shackles and wonder why Glennon wasn’t shackled the same way in preseason. Why did he let Glennon scan the field and look off the safety but not Freeman. It’s an unjust conspiracy designed to lift Schiano’s status in the coaching world.

They also wonder why Schiano chose to shackle Freeman after such a great start last year. Maybe it was because Raheem also shackled Freeman in Rah’s second season. Both coaches really have it in for him.

  20. Illuminati Says:

Nearly every scouting report I’ve read about Glennon point out his ability to go through his reads, move defenders with his eyes, not lock onto one guy, throw his receiver open, work the middle of the field, and find his check down receivers.

These are skills Mike Glennon already has. These are skills Josh Freeman still hasn’t developed after 57 NFL starts.

  21. Buc1987 Says:

I’ll also point out once again Glennon was warming up in the 3rd last Sunday.
csidedave..Enough with the conspiracy theories already. We’ve all heard it all before.

  22. Illuminati Says:

    @Buc1987

I’m pretty sure that was a healthy dose of sarcasm from csidedave.

  23. buc4lyfe Says:

If the right end position isn’t important in this offense then why did they sign Dallas Clark last year and look at the offense so far this year, defenses are completely ignoring the middle of the field. A qb doesn’t get worse….not like this so I think they wasted the off-season implementing garbage that clearly doesn’t work which is why they keep trying to throw to Martin out of the backfield. Hey Schiano it’s not working, he’s tired for 3rdk in the league for dropped passes

  24. Buc1987 Says:

Illuminati …lol yeah after re-reading that last paragraph I get it now.

  25. Buc1987 Says:

Schiano has pulling out weeds since he got here. Freeman is one of those weeds. I’m a season tix holder and I’m ready to move onto Glennon after what I saw last Sunday.

  26. Splengo Says:

    Buc1987,

Do one of your infamous polls and see how many want Glennon to start now. I’ll vote for him. I would vote for him to start Sunday. Let ‘s see what you get.

  27. buc4lyfe Says:

Yea sure scouting report lol, same kinda reports that caused Brady to get drafted in the 5th round? Glennon didn’t seem like he looked off safeties very well in the preseason finale against scrubs!

  28. mpmalloy Says:

Watch out Pats! Here comes the Pain Train!

  29. Buc1987 Says:

    Splengo LOL

  30. Chef Paul Says:

    Wow 1987,
I’ve been gone for a while on vacation. I’m very surprised to see you don’t believe in JF5 any more. I’m not saying you are wrong for it, because I’m off it too. Just surprised. Regardless I’m 7 miles from Gillette stadium right now, getting pumped up to cheer on Freeman and/or Glennon tomorrow.

AND THE NO FLY ZONE BABY!!!!!

  31. Buc1987 Says:

Okay let’s do it. All in favor of of starting Glennon say I. I.

  32. Buc1987 Says:

“I’m 7 miles from Gillette stadium right now.”

    Chef Paul…sweeeet!

If you have good seats, you will be able to see what I’m talking about with wide open receivers not even being looked at by Freeman. The TV does not show fans enough.

  33. csidedave Says:

1987 my post was meant to be facetious

  34. Buc1987 Says:

The poll will be open until after tomorrows game to be fair to Freeman ONE MORE TIME. Let’s take the tally and send it to One Buc Place. Please no making of new ID’s to vote twice lol.

  35. Illuminati Says:

I’m not in favor of starting Glennon tomorrow. But I am in favor of giving Freeman the ol’ shepherd’s crook if his game turns sour.

  36. buc4lyfe Says:

If this idiotic coaching staff sees what we just saw then why do they still feel Josh deserves to start, I’m not a freemanite, im not in the glennon mob either, I’m a buccaneer man lol. Don’t understand why this coach won’t go ahead and make the switch. On last year’s team yes it would have been a disaster but between dougie fresh and this defense I wanna find out if glennon was worth all the drama that came to town with him

  37. Buc1987 Says:

    csidedave…lol I know I caught that now.

  38. Buc1987 Says:

    buc4lyfe…so that’s an I?

  39. Chef Paul Says:

I’m giving Josh one more half. I’m sure he wont change my mind, but if he cant do anything in the first half tomorrow, I’m joining the Mike Glennon Mob.

  40. Buc1987 Says:

Still waiting on a nay….I guess I can safely mark Raphael down as a nay.

  41. Chef Paul Says:

I firmly believe we are one position and one coach away from being an elite team. QB and DC. Switch those and we are on to something. I know the D is playing great but allowing these last second losses every week is making me buy out the whole town of Tums

  42. buc4lyfe Says:

    Ever heard of lyfe Jennings?

I think every one here would agree that if glennon comes in he couldn’t be any worse than Freeman we have enough weapons for him to manage the game and a strong enough defense to keep scores low

  43. Buc1987 Says:

rookie King and rookie Simms came in with a good defense….just sayin’.

  44. buc4lyfe Says:

When Danny gorrer gets back, Johnson is a nickelback, bands on the outside, revis in the slot on passing downs….no one else is worthy of representing the ronde position!

  45. Buc1987 Says:

The Browns got rid of their star player in week 3. So why can’t the Bucs send an inconsistent QB to the bench? I don’t think too much of the fan base will be all that pissed off.

  46. BUCSLEGENDS Says:

I LOVE YOU JBF !!!!!!, thanks for give us a couple articles to keep us busy tonight !!!!!!!! That said, I DON’T care who plays QB as long as we win !!!!!!! GO BUCS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  47. King Diamond Says:

I always thought Freeman had a lot of upside potential with his size and athletic ability which they don’t seem to utilize. It’s kinda sad to see what a debacle this has turned into.

  48. Bobby Says:

Of course I’m a nay. I want to win. If Glennon were ready and better he’d be starting.

  49. Buc1987 Says:

    We got a nay from Bobby…so that’s 2 nays.

  50. Buc1987 Says:

One has to think maybe they wanted to bench him already. It might have just been looked on as a bad PR move so early on in the season to turn to a rookie. Fans might not want to buy tix to see a rookie play. One has to think of what the higher ups were thinking in this regard. So the bye week would make sense to turn to Glennon. Let the team and the fans rally around the rookie @ home vs the Eagles. Meh what do I know though..one can only speculate. Sucks that they might have to turn to just a rookie and there is no one else. I’m ready to rally behind the kid, with the 1st string in there with him. He can’t do no worse.

  51. Buc1987 Says:

Plus I am taking into consideration what I saw in preseason week 4. I did not forget that too. It’s just that maybe, maybe the kid is ready with the FIRST STRING and a strong defense behind him. What do we fans have to lose at this point? Watch the video, does that remind you of a rookie or a 4 year vet?

  52. Buc1987 Says:

Anyone else? Just make your usual comment and then drop down an I or nay in favor of Glennon taking over.

  53. Saskbuco Says:

@Buc1987, so now you have NFL defenses and offenses figured out? Those who have read my posts know that I support all Buc players and want them to play their best, Freeman without question is having confidence issues right now. He’s trusting in the game plan and the 1st read, of those highlights no one can have any idea during a game, how the defense can and will react to a certain play call. Now is it up to the QB to process the information and throw to the open player? Absolutely, now here is the kicker, is said player coached to have complete control of the offense and take what the defense give them? or try and make a throw to wear the play was designed to go, based on the teams assessment of how the defense will react and who they think will become open? It’s the NFL most times you throw to a spot, not a player. I’m sure judging by your “good seats” that you can clearly see all the open receivers, on a team that has 2 legit WR’s and 0 slot or middle presence. Yes the highlights show balls thrown out of bounds (bad throws), there has been some beautifully thrown balls as well, the bomb to Ogletree and the TD that was called back. I find it upsetting that you can continue to bash and bash a player and call for the rookie backup to go in. I see your point, you don’t feel he can do any worse, now ask yourself is that an honest attitude to have? Give Freeman and the offense until the bye week at least, Glennon wouldn’t be ready before then, but at the same time when is any rookie QB ever really ready? The part that baffles me is that you are so quick to give up on the season and you must be cause your calling for a rookie 3rd pick to come in. It’s not like a top 5 pick is sitting on the bench, I do think part of the problem is the offense has become too schematic and there is little room for improvisation (see Big Ben before Todd Haley). Time will tell how it will all go down, I would like nothing better than for Freeman to play like I know he can and for you to pay to get a new #5 jersey back before the playoffs, the jersey that no real fan would throw away as long as that player is still on the team and competing to win.

  54. Buc1987 Says:

Saskbuco…I don’t NEED the video. I was there Sunday with great seats, with a great view. I know what I saw. I saw on numerous occasions where there were wide open WR’s that Josh never even looked their way.

  55. Buc1987 Says:

Saskbuco…I’d like to see Freeman play great tomorrow too, but it’s just not going to happen.

  56. Buc1987 Says:

Saskbuco…the video only cemented what I saw first hand and what 55 or so analysts said about Freeman in the off season. Keep in mind that I’m the guy that held up a 20-25 foot banner during pre-season that said WE BELIEVE IN JOSH. I know what I saw last Sunday. It’s not going to get better. I wish it would but it’s not.

  57. Saskbuco Says:

    @Buc1987

See previous comment about a week 4 preseason game, where 3rd and 4th string player are fighting for 1-3 roster spots. If you are basing your opinion on a week 4 preseason game, then I’m sorry but I will question your football IQ on that. But what do I know, I’m from Canada and not a real fan anyway, cause I don’t go to every game like you do.

I’ll never forget how you attacked me on here and all your derogatory comments towards me. I admire your passion, just don’t see much factual evidence to back any of your “suggestions”, please begin your bashing of me again so I can refute/rebuttal you all night long. I, unlike you, am an open minded person and will graciously listen to your side and all you have to say and never “bash” your opinion or question your loyalty. I will only try and deliver real football facts, unbiased facts, I will never stoop to your level and make any fan feel unwanted based on their location or if their opinion differs from mine.

    The floor is yours Sir

  58. Buc1987 Says:

Saskbuco….12%…12% of teams that start the season off 0-2 make the playoffs. 12%. That’s twelve percent. Is the season already over? Well not yet, but Freeman has led us to this point.

  59. Buc1987 Says:

“If you are basing your opinion on a week 4 preseason game.”

Apparently they don’t show preseason games in Canada. I was referring to Glennon looking like crap during that 4th preseason game. That’s what I’m taking into account and still say, he can’t do no worse than what I saw last Sunday.

  60. Saskbuco Says:

When the team gives up on him (which could happen) and send him to the bench, I will support Glennon the same as I support Freeman. The season isn’t over and the team hasn’t given up on our QB and neither am I, so what 12%, number and stats don’t mean a thing to me. The 2007 Giants were 0-2 and they won the super bowl, anything can I will happen. The TEAM is 0-2 not one player, but the entire team.

  61. Buc1987 Says:

Saskbuco…I already apologized for that about 6 weeks ago. I’m not doing it again.

  62. Saskbuco Says:

“Apparently they don’t show preseason games in Canada…”, I have to Sunday ticket to watch all the bucs games, but the last 2 were actually on “normal” channels, meaning I didn’t have to watch the NFL Sunday Ticket feed. Take another shot at where I live hey……not sure how that’s even relevant, but your not afraid to go there.

  63. Buc1987 Says:

I also gave you my reasons why I singled you out that day. It was because of all the tourists comments on ticketmaster about coming to see our stadium and it’s beautiful ship. During preseason was a great example of that. There was a family of 5 brits sitting next to me at the game. All with british accents taking pictures of the ship, the field and texting throughout the whole game. Hardly ever even glancing at the action on the field. It was like our stadium was damn tourist attraction. I already apologized for prejudging you, but you won’t let it go. That’s not my problem anymore.

  64. Buc1987 Says:

“Plus I am taking into consideration what I saw in preseason week 4. I did not forget that too. It’s just that maybe, maybe the kid is ready with the FIRST STRING and a strong defense behind him.”

Saskbuco..What part of this do you not understand?

  65. Saskbuco Says:

Apology was accepted then and is still, I will apologize for coming across like I didn’t move past that. Frustrated from all the hate the Bucs have been taking and Freeman has been taking. Just like you and all fans, just want this team to play good and win and stop all the nonsense. You opinion could be bang on and Freeman could be in fact finished, I’m just not there yet and won’t be until the change is actually made. Perhaps I’m just hoping for the Franchise QB that we’ve never really had, and it’s now all just false hope. But I’m a glass half full person and loyal sometimes to a fault. #5 will be my QB as long as he’s on the roster and I will support him even if he’s a backup, just as I will support the starter. I know you just want the bucs to win, no matter who is under center.

  66. Saskbuco Says:

    @Buc1987

Ok your saying give him a fair shot with the number 1’s not like in Game 4? Got, now I ask you, did they not give him a long enough look in the preseason? Maybe too long, ” The 49ers’ Colin Kaepernick played in the Super Bowl. The Redskins’ Robert Griffin III hasn’t been cleared to play as he recovers from knee surgery. Those are the only two NFL starting quarterbacks who took fewer snaps after two preseason games than Josh Freeman.”

I don’t know why they didn’t play the number 1’s more after they were cleary struggling? Guess they thought it would be like a switch and pedal to the medal? I didn’t understand it then, and I understand the logic even less now. The preseason was the time to get rid of the rust and the penalties……….it couldn’t of hurt.

  67. Buc1987 Says:

Yes all I want for is Freeman to snap out of it. I want 2010 Freeman to show up. I have also changed my ways since we last spoke on here. I never call fans out anymore for not being big enough fans or being too negative. I moved past that stage and realized that it is wrong. Go Bucs, Go Josh.

  68. Buc1987 Says:

Saskbuco…That’s true, but most teams don’t play their starters in week 4. I think the plan was to get Glennon as much time as they could. Because they already knew what they had with Freeman. They have loads of tape to go on with Freeman. Plus Josh was in training camp as well to knock the rust off. Maybe they have known about Josh since last season. I just thought they could fix him. That the right staff could fix him.

  69. Buc1987 Says:

So Saskbuco is a nay for Glennon to start. That’s 3 nays.

  70. Saskbuco Says:

Good point, I didn’t mean to start him in week 4, but week 3 came out way to soon and was getting sacked way too much. Life in the NFL for a QB is so fragile, they wanted to change the culture of the team and brought in a hard nosed coach to do it. Well, I guess he was the 2nd choice as Chip Kelly left them at the alter. I like the idea of a disciplinary coach, but I was in favor of an offensive minded coach (not saying coach Schiano isn’t the right coach), but I really wanted to bring in an QB/Offensive coach to mold Freeman, as his confidence was shattered after 2011 season. I wish the old posts were archived some how, as I actually had the same idea as JOE, Packers QB coach, now OC Tom Clements and no, not just because he played QB in the CFL, and also Bruce Arians who was fired from the Steelers, just because how the offense was ran and I seen a lot of the “sandlot/Gunslinger” Big Ben and 2010 Freeman similarities. Anyway sorry, none of that matters all that matters like you said the 2010 Josh Freeman shows up and the season can be salvaged, GO BUCS!!!!!

  71. rdbucfan Says:

    Bucfan1987

I’m neither a yay or nay as in Schiano I trust to make the best decision for this year and the future. I’m for whatever coach decides is best for the team.

  72. MakaveliTheDon Says:

I remember how everyone was all about Chip Kelly after he beat the Redskins in wk 1. And now? All I’m saying is it funny how fickle we can be in a 3 week span. Lets just beat those cheating spying as$ patriots! This side talk and the poll taking is a waste of time. Bucs by 11.

    MAKAVELI MINDSET! YOU TOO FREEMAN!!!

  80. Eternally Optimistic Homer Says:

So let me get this straight. Buc1987, the guy who took a poll and said he would support Josh Freeman, who gave up on Freeman after ONE GAME, is now taking another poll?

No thank you. Buc1987, you are a total bandwagoner. That’s fine because bandwagon fans buy tickets too…just don’t claim to be anything else and don’t expect respect. You turned on a player far too quickly for someone claiming to hold signs up supporting him.

Here’s when I will agree Josh Freeman should be benched: when the fault is truly his and not the result of bad oline play, penalties or drops.

I don’t care if there is an open wr down the field and he doesn’t always see him. All QBs have that issue because in real time the defense is coming at them and we as fans don’t have 300 pounders in our faces preventing us from seeing the field.

Further more, I think you attitude toward tourists sucks considering tourism is the backbone of the Florida economy.

  81. Eternally Optimistic Homer Says:

And I’m not saying Freeman is blameless either. He has his faults. All of them can be overcome. They will be overcome. If not in Tampa then elsewhere. Josh Freeman will win a Superbowl at some point.

If Mike Glennon were made the starter I would have to support him because that would destroy any chance of Freeman agreeing to resign, but Glennon is not true starting material. He isn’t even leader material.

  82. King Diamond Says:

Hey Billacheat, go pack the car. I hope our pass rush can bash Brady in the mouth a few times so Billicheat can put in Tebow so we can can really some blood in the water. NE take your chowder and your Sam Adams lager up your Azz.s

  83. chris Says:

Buc1987 is only piggy-backing off what I’ve been saying. Glennon has been working with WRs who are not even on an NFL roster in the preseason and 3/5’s of his oline aren’;t either. How can you evaluate a QB drafted in the 3rd round when he didn’t really get an opporutnity with guys like Jackson, WIlliams, Martin, Lorig, Jospeh, Nicks, Penn, zuttah and Dotson?

Instead he was throwing to Underwood, Douglans, Owusu, Page, Hagan, ? Remmers, Larsen, Meredith, a UDFA (guy from W. Michgan on the oline),.

Glennon is also a rookie. Josh is a 5th year guy. I cannot see Glennon doing any worse than what we see in Freeman.

  84. MakaveliTheDon Says:

“How can you evaluate a QB drafted in the 3rd round when he didn’t really get an opporutnity with guys like Jackson, WIlliams, Martin, Lorig, Jospeh, Nicks, Penn, zuttah and Dotson?”

    chris,

Freeman didnt have Lorig, Martin, Joseph, Nicks in the preseason. Zuttah, Penn and Dotson held up as strong as girl scouts, as Free got sacked almost the majority of his limited snaps. He wasnt given the time to gel with his 1st teamers. Martin should have had at least 2 series per game. Bottom line, the preseason was horribly mismanaged.

But, I’m interested to see what Glennon can do. Now if he’s given the reigns for the rest of the season, and doesnt come through by the end of the year, that’ll be the end of Schiano’s tenure (since Glennon was without a doubt a Schiano pick). And the Glazers will probably let Dom go too, since he was in the war room on draft day.

With Schiano gone, The Glazers will easily find an ex NFL coach or up and commer coordinator. Because our talent level is like before Chucky came along. We just need a coach who can light a fire under these players azzes.

As far as Freeman, why would he want to stay here? He needs to find a team with an offensive coach who know how to build the playbook around him. And then watch the kid turn it around like Alex Smith.

  85. Tony Says:

Freeman is such a leader <<>>

Before you go all bash and rag on Schiano, Bucs had the worst run defense in 2010 and 2011. Schaino comes in, they’re stout. #1. Bucs have the worst pass defense in 2012. So far, as a whole, we looked great. Pass rush looks improved and didn’t really add anything to it besides Clayborn coming back. I think elminating and reducing the 3rd down stunts and 3 man rush, the Pass rush will be even better.

Freeman is what’s hold this team back. And argue all you want pal, Free had Joseph in the preseason for that 3rd game as well. He had Jackson and Williams. You want to bring up the oline: Freeman holds the ball extremely too long. Watch the video above. Everything that I’ve covered on Josh Freeman. Holds ball too long, stares down Wrs, etc. He doesn’t throw the ball on time. He doesn’t go thorugh progressions. Guys are open on other parts of the field. Instead he will stare down a guy in double coverage just because its his first read pre-snap.

I even watch the All 22 film and quite frankly. it’s too blatently obvious. Some will say oh well the ball was well thrown, WR was just well covered. That’s nice, but Martin and Stocker are open. Or ogeltree and Williams have seperation on the other side of the field. Things like that.

Sorry for being late Bro…working, family, and catching up

In all honesty, I see a trade coming soon, and we’ll be happy 🙂

We heard it from Boomer last season.

We heard it from Josh himself.

He said he got to lost being a rich QB.

Josh has been partying too much, and he never studies.

    Josh is a diva.

I was a freeman supporter until this season.

Now, I know. Hes not dedicated to his craft. Hes spoiled.

    What? Whatever? and Who cares?

“No thank you. Buc1987, you are a total bandwagoner. That’s fine because bandwagon fans buy tickets too…just don’t claim to be anything else and don’t expect respect.”

Respect from who? You. Same thing as above. What? Whatever? and Who cares?

Why don’t you go under your REAL screen name? Since you know about my poll from 2 months ago, surely you have a REAL screen name. Don’t expect people like ME to respect YOU hiding behind a different name.

It’s a generic poll anyways. As a fan I have the right to jump off Freeman’s bandwagon after what I saw in the Saints game. I support the coach the entire defense, the special teams and 50% of the offense. Freeman being the other 50% that I choose NOT to support anymore. I’ve seen enough already. I thought this staff could fix him. When Sully watches the tape, I’m sure his head wants to explode.

@Chris…yes I agree with what your saying, because I saw it first hand. I’m just tired of all the excuses that go on in here.

“I don’t care if there is an open wr down the field and he doesn’t always see him. All QBs have that issue because in real time the defense is coming at them and we as fans don’t have 300 pounders in our faces preventing us from seeing the field.”

“when the fault is truly his and not the result of bad oline play, penalties or drops.”

    More excuses!

Every team has penalties and drops. An average QB can overcome them. Especially one that’s 4 and a half yrs in. Unfortunately I have to support Josh while he’s in there. Dominik and the Glazers have gave me no other option and that sucks.

I think the Bucs will lose another close game. I am making this prediction in hopes of being proved wrong. It works that way some times.

  95. BamBamBuc Says:

There’s more to it than just “seeing” the open WR. Even in Baldinger’s video, you can see the DT directly between Josh and the “open” WR. It’s possible his vision was impaired (no throwing lane), he chose not to throw that way due to the likelihood of it being batted down at the line (would rather take a shot to a WR that he can actually get the ball to, or that he saw the Safety directly in the path if he waited for the WR to get into the open lane (hold the ball too long). It’s just not so simple as “this guy was open”.

Another thing to consider (with every QB, not defending or making excuses for any one QB) is timing routes. Many QBs never look off their #1 target because the design of the play is to drop 3 steps and get the ball out IN TIME to a WR on a slant or a fade or whatever… There is no time to look off or pump fake or anything else. Drop, look, throw. If that guy is blanketed, then it’s time to go to #2 or #3 option or improvise and run, but at that point the timing of the play is off, the blocking is set up incorrectly, and it’s all “hope and a prayer”.

We can all look at this “screen shot” or that “video clip” to break thing down, but I might see that DT in the way, while someone else sees the “open” WR.

If you never heard of Niccolo Machiavelli, even with google at your fingertips, then I can only assume that you never went to college. So, I have to take your opinion with a grain of salt.
