I consider all of the LaCanfora/Schefter types to be useless, but LaCanfora is defintiely the worst of the bunch.
September 26th, 2013 at 5:03 pm
Well, his trade value is crap right now, especially with his contract!
I hope we can get something for him, anything at this point.
He will be a free agent at the end of this year.
September 26th, 2013 at 5:14 pm
Who would really want Freeman at this point? Only a team that has their starting QB hurt and they don’t have faith in their back-up. Cleveland comes to mind as well as Minnesota.
The question is what would they be willing to give up? A 6th round pick at best.
That’s the way the ball bounces.
September 26th, 2013 at 5:16 pm
Trade value could improve if Josh signs a long term deal with a new team. At this point, anything we get is a bonus. Thank goodness we didn’t sign him to a long deal like Shaun King suggested we should have done. We would be stuck now.
“Shaun King, one of two Buc Quarterbacks that lost a NFC Championship Game when his defense gave up 11 or fewer points.”

@bucrightoff
lol .. you really think your the smartest guy the room. We argued about this same subject several days ago, and I even gave you several possible trade destinations. Funny how LaCanfora sees it unfolding just like I do. Freeman still has some credibility, and I think there are some teams who may be interested in him as a backup at first until he proves he better than the option they are using now through reps and competition. I bet Ponder would be a distant memory if Freeman landed in Minnesota. Leslie Frazier would be perfect for him. Or how about backing up Big Ben in Pittsburg who’s prone to injuries lately. There is a market, but teams will want to lowball the Bucs. Depends on how badly Team Freeman is clamoring for the trade and how certain they feel to move on with Glennon and Orlovsky.

La canfora? This is the same dude who had no sources and said Sherman was a lock. This guy talks out of his rear end.

Of course teams will lowball the Bucs. And the Bucs will refuse because they can get up to a 3rd rounder as a compensatory pick next year. Freeman isn’t getting dealt unless a potential playoff team loses its starter. The Bucs have no reason to accept a 6th or 7th round pick. And if Freeman is gonna be a malcontent then he hurts his own stock going forward.

“I consider all of the LaCanfora/Schefter types to be useless, but LaCanfora is defintiely the worst of the bunch.”
dude, Schefter has made 31 clones of himself and hid each one in every teams front office.
September 26th, 2013 at 5:34 pm
Freeman is garbage, nobody will trade for garbage. Watch. Free was Dom’s WORST pick.
September 26th, 2013 at 5:43 pm
3 days couch fan….we will see if he is a man of his word because schiano said he doesnt have to change the offense for glennon and that glennon can run the offense they way that they want it run…..but we will see where fans draw the line, gargabe rookie quarterback or garbage offense, i think its the offense but i dont think glennon is ready….make sure your here sunday after the game couch fan….since you want to call someone stupid because glennon is now starting as if now all of a sudden everything is ok…even the defensive scheme isnt very good on the back end or front end, we just have excellent linebacker play but hey there are no more excuses glennon mob now have their franchise quarterback
September 26th, 2013 at 5:47 pm
I’ll be here!! Funny how you are only giving Glennon one game though. LMAO.. it is what it is. Freemanites will never change.

Bucs4lyfe
Just tell the truth. Your mind is already made up. No need to wait for Sunday. Because no matter what happens you will be here b!tching about some ridiculous crap.
September 26th, 2013 at 5:55 pm
dude your so annoying what are you like 10 years old…b!tching about some ridiculous crap? what does that really mean. Honestly people begging for glennon are the ones that started the division between quarterbacks but really its about its really about front office and coaches vs. players.
Im not giving him one game because i know he’s going to struggle but since you reading skills arent very good ill break it down barney style best i can
i think glennon will not be successful NOT because he cant throw or is inaccurate or inexperienced, i think what they want a quarterback to do is not what we have the personnel for. dude this is really giants offense whether you want to believe it or not…where else would mike sullivan a first time offense coordinator get his offense from?
dont watch glennon like we did freeman….watch what they ask glennon to do in the offense because theres no threat in the middle of the field and no one to guard, what will this guy do with that ball if williams and vjack cant get open lol is he gonna run the ball?
September 26th, 2013 at 6:07 pm
time to move on folks… we’re 0-3 (should be 3-0, 2-1 at least) and now we must SUPPORT mike glennon. THIS is a Bucs life!
September 26th, 2013 at 7:12 pm
bucs4lyfe…for the record. I’m the one that said I think the problem with the offense is 60% Sully’s scheme and 40% Freeman’s poor play. Just so I’m understood and we get that out of the way right now. Don’t come at me on Sunday if the offense still sucks.

what this change will do, is show us who really deserves blame, and credit. now that our #1 whipping boy is out of the picture.
god I hope our offense gets better, not for Glennons sake, nothin against him, but because I know the MGM will go straight to Sully with the blame.
the MGM was already sold on Glennon by Schianos praises, cause they couldnt possibly have been sold on him by his preseason performance. so its only natural that they bypass Schiano and start whipping on Sully…who has one of the best resumes on this coaching staff.
September 26th, 2013 at 7:41 pm
@Sully, brace yourself!
September 26th, 2013 at 7:57 pm
It’s ok Bucs4lye. I get that you hate Schiano because he benched your boy toy. You dont have to admit it.
In the mean time we’ll be Winnin with Glennon!!

Freeman… Glennon…
Does it really matter? The offensive scheme the Bucs run is horrendous, and we lack a middle safety valve at receiver. It’s a shame too, given all the talent we have everywhere else.

I get it….GRIF4FREESUX and Couch Fan
I swear either you too are in elementary or your the dumbest adults I’ve ever had to use a computer. Please the whole point of being here is to actual make a point some kind of idea anything please because hello we’ve all been watching demand career only some process information slower than others
I guess I hear something different than everyone, schiano is just as dumb as you two because he came here let Josh Johnson go for orvlosky? Clearly saying I’m riding with Freeman but now he and Dominick wanna say they made the switch because Freeman is 1-8 of his last 9 and dumb @ss saying it’s a performanced based business well guess what he doesn’t have a winning record at Rutgers and he’s 7-12 as head coach. Now if he truly means it’s not all Freeman fault then he’s fortress own his record to right since we quote Freeman stats, schiano’s aren’t very impressive.
Sooner or later teams will figure out the defense just like they did this simple offense last year and watch what happens because for all the freakin evaluating he does things sure don’t change

Listening to you guys assert how the Bucs should get as much as they can in some trade for Freeman – I am reminded how just last week you argued he was worthless – is hilarious – not “funny” hilarious – “stupid” hilarious. Put you pipes down “yo”…is almost like you didn’t understand that the head coach was manipulating you into believing that Freeman is so bad he can no longer work with him – and like you don’t realize how badly this college coach just trashed ANY hope of trading Freeman?
No team with any high round draft picks is going to trade for Freeman – because all they have to do is wait – don’t you understand that? Your FOOL of a HC insured this would be the outcome when he decided to canibalize his own team.
The only folks that will trade with you – are teams that have LOW draft picks, we call those are good teams with good coaches – that is the opposite of what you have here. Lots of talent + continuing to lose + blaming the QB to buy you more times = LOTS of losing, more than one coach and 3rd round draft pick can save.
Nope – this is what losing looks like. Welcome Bucs fans, you’ve let them hook another generation.
…but don’t worry, the owners are gonna let you watch THEIR team for free, from the comfort of your own living rooms every Sunday for the rest of this losing season – because, well, it’s going to take Mike Glennon a WHILE before he stops getting dropped like a bad habit.
See, once Schiano got his 4th round QB in the the 3rd round – he never had any intention of keeping Freeman – that optimism they tricked you with this past off season, helped them sell enough tickets that they met the minimum threshold of attendance.
so see, you dupes, it really is all good!
