  1. Lynch Says:

Looks good with no surprises. I knew Hillis would be on the final roster.

  2. Raphael Says:

    Wow 3 qbs … Interesting

  3. Oklahoma BucFan Says:

I didn’t get to see the games, but I was surprised by Tim Wright over Danny Noble at TE.

  4. RBellBuc Says:

    That should be Ted Larsen.

  5. Jacko101 Says:

Congrats Steven Means I’m happy for you the most

  6. Mike Says:

Was rooting for Douglas., liked him.

  7. Neil Says:

I wonder how they’re going to utilize all the running backs? I thought Gibson was McCoy’s mentor and played pretty solid whenever I saw him in last season. Chris Owusu really fell off fast from his great training camp, at one point people were saying he could be the 3rd WR.

  8. Andrew 1 Says:

I didnt think Hillis would make the final roster so I definitely got that one wrong. a couple things that are interesting form that list though- we got as many RBs as we do WRs, and I think Grimm is a better player than Tandy. other than that no real surprises.

  9. bucfanjeff Says:

    WR seems thin/weak to me.

Roll up your sleeves boys, its time to “go to work now, like a doctor, to get paid!”

  10. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I think Peyton Hillis will be eventually traded. No surprises here…I think Tim Wright will be cut when we pick up a TE off waivers.
Like to see Douglas on the practice squad.

  11. Mr. Patrick Says:

Kept 6 DE’s but only 3 DT’s. Since Landri is the back-up 3-Tech, who is the back-up NT? Bowers?

  12. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

    Raphael Says
    “Wow 3 qbs … Interesting”

Not really. Glennon might end up being listed as #2 on the depth chart, but that’s so he’ll get practice reps. He is nowhere near ready to step in if Freeman goes down. If he was the Bucs would have kept just two.

  13. Joc Says:

    5-11

  14. Mr. Patrick Says:

As other players get released from other teams, this list will change a little

  15. Splengo Says:

Since Rian Lindell can kick-off too, the Bucs should cut over-paid Michael Koenen and pick up Zoltan Mesko for half the pay and twice the performance.

  16. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @ Patrick

I agree… Tim Wright, Keith Tandy not safe….we may pick up another WR instead of an extra RB….

  17. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

    No backup NT…yet.

Bowers is starting. So is Spence.

Leonard Johnson is listed as the starter over Banks as of this point.

  18. Buc1987 Says:

Good deal Larsen the Palm Harbor boy survives again.

  19. MR.T Says:

Didn’t see Mark Barrons’s name on the list, need to add it. One thing is sure we are loaded at RB so if they really want to “pound the rock” they have the talent to really do it.

  20. NJBucsFan Says:

Surprised Danny O is still here. Kind of thin at WR

  21. MR.T Says:

oops Barron’s name is on there, missed it.

  22. BUCSLEGENDS Says:

Alright, lets get this plan going… can’t wait. GO BUCS !!!!!!!

  23. lightningbuc Says:

I’m betting Hillis doesn’t make it through Labor Day!

  24. Buc1987 Says:

I think Wright will be dropped for one of the Pats TE’s.

  25. Buc1987 Says:

Amanda Tynes was signed on to become the new public relations manager for the Bucs.

  26. Doc Says:

Congratulation Mike James, hang in there ” Go Bucs”

  27. JBSkiff Says:

@ralphael. 3QB’s sounds like someone is on a short leash. We will probably know how short by the 4th game. I’m ready for the real football games to begin .

  28. Illuminati Says:

Well, this is today’s roster. It will likely change again tomorrow night.

  29. Tackleblockwin Says:

Surely the Bucs make a few moves in the next couple days. Go Bucs! Go grab a few players to help this team.

  30. Max Says:

Too many tight ends and running backs. Assuming they are all the special teamers. Still way too many….need more D-line depth and maybe another guy for O-line.

  31. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I like Page playing WR & KR/PR….saved a slot for another player.
Also….I think he can play WR pretty well also.
Too bad one of our linemen can’t longsnap…..save antother position.
Hell…can’t Hillis or Leonard play FB….save another one there….pretty soon we can whittle it down enough to bring in some studs…..

  32. ElioT Says:

Good god this team has no depth what so ever. 3 DTs???? Where is the rotation going to come from? Maybe they’ll trade Hillis for another NT?

That secondary better play some damn good football because his defense is going to have to send 5-6 to get any pressure on the QB.

I know this roster will change in the next few days but as of right now, I’m fairly concerned; hope it’s unwarranted.

    Go Bucs!

  33. Architek Says:

No complaints on this roster with the exception of Freeman consistency and jury duty Sciano – this will be a interesting season.

  34. Big Marlon B Says:

Since there are only 3 DTs right now, I’d like to see them bring in Marvin Austin or Drake Nevis. Both could fit in nicely as a backup 3 tech to McCoy. I’m also wondering what the practice squad will look like. Since Tim Wright is in the final 53 (for now), I’ll bet Danny Noble will be there.

  35. ButIt941 Says:

Pretty much exactly how i thought it would play out with the exception of Tim Wright over Noble and Dan O over a player like Douglas, or Robinson ( i liked him a lot).

This team on paper has the kind of talent that should take them into the play offs. I just hope Play calling, Coaching, Effort, and Injuries don’t destroy those hopes. I am excited GO BUCS!

  36. ButIt941 Says:

There is only 3 DT’s on paper. But if you payed attention you would know Bowers, Te’O, and Trevor Scott all can play inside and swing in quite often! Don’t jump the gun on NO DEPTH on the D Line. We have Depth, We just have a few versatile players which allow us to keep fewer back ups!

  37. teacherman777 Says:

Do you guys realize that after Darrelle Revis, we have 4 SLOW, unexperienced, AVERAGE cornerbacks.

    Nobody special.

Banks, Leonard Johnson and Adams are all 4.6 40 guys!!!!!

And Gorrer and Melvin are both undrafted talent.

Do you know what the Seahawks have that we dont?

Really good depth, and open minded guys in management.

  38. teacherman777 Says:

    Also, after Lavonte David,

our LB crew is VERY mediocre.

  39. Buc1987 Says:

    teacherman777 Says:

“Do you guys realize that after Darrelle Revis, we have 4 SLOW, unexperienced, AVERAGE cornerbacks.”

    “Nobody special.”

Yes sir I have realized that for quite some time. Which is why I wanted them to go after someone in free agency. Like Grimes.

  40. teacherman777 Says:

    And our backup safeties?

    Are you serious?

I love Tandy and Ahmad Black.

Im sure they are decent guys and hard workers.

But are they really NFL athletes?

I think Schiano is sometimes blinded by his loyalty.

We do not have a talent deep roster.

We have picks that Dom is too proud to cut.

Or that Schiano is too kind to cut.

Najee Goode? Seriously? We couldve had Vontaze Burfict.

Mike Glennon? We couldve had the Honey Badger

  41. Coburn Says:

Everyone is forgetting Gholston has also played inside. Actually predicted we would cut Gibson and keep 3 while stocking up on DEs and keeping both rookies

  42. teacherman777 Says:

    I wanted Grimes too!

His hero, and his number, are Ronde!

He modeled his game after Ronde.

    Grimes wouldve been awesome.

  43. Splengo Says:

There are so many risks here they should have gambled and cut Orlovsky too. Nobody is going to pick him up soon. Maybe by then Glennon is reliable. Schiano has doubled down with this roster. I hope he wins, but he made his bed in the offseason.

  44. SHIVVER Says:

3 DT’s is a BIG mistake….. Tim Wright can play WR too so he’s a good keep. Orlovsky might not last the week….

  45. BamBamBuc Says:

teacherman… sounds like you should be a Seahawks fan.

  46. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Relax…..this isn’t the final 53…..there are over 700 players out there on the open market….I will be concerned if we don’t take that opportunity to make a couple of changes.

  47. andres Says:

OMG worst fans ever… Too bad the Bucs can’t cut you guys as fans.

  48. lightningbuc Says:

    Teacherman,

I’m guessing you like bullet points in Power Point presentations and Word documents.

  49. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @ andres

Right On!….what’s with these guys….they are acting like little
Amanda Tynes’….I expect this out of Buc Realist.

And, by the way Buc Realist if you’re out there….I’m not one of those who calls you an idiot!!!

700 playeres available…some of which we had to covet…

OMG worst fans ever… Too bad the Bucs can’t cut you guys as fans.

    ^^^^ This is NOT me!

  51. Illuminati Says:

I don’t see any major surprises at all. Gibson is a little bit of a surprise, but we have a lot of DEs that can move inside when needed. You pretty much knew either Gibson or Landri would be cut, because you could tell there were a lot of young DEs that they would want to keep, and some of those guys can move inside.

I was hoping David Douglas would make the roster, but oh well. I had hopes for Glaud as a reserve LB as well.

And again, the final 53 still isn’t set.

  52. Buc1987 Says:

andres…Don’t stop here. Look around the site if you think this thread is bad. Seriously drop into different comments sections on other articles. Then let me know what you think. Count them up and let me know how many terrible fans there are.

  53. Sneedy16 Says:

    @teacherman777

Well Sherman ran a 4.56 and was a 5th round pick. Browner was a Canadian Football player and I’m sure he ran a 4.6 or 4.7. and that’s their starters. Their secondary is pretty slow other than Earl Thomas.

  54. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Buc 1987

We have some real whiners & malcontents…I haven’t counted them but there are quite a few.
Its OK to question moves and individual player cuts or keeps…but to be overly concerned about the direction of the Bucs is rediculous..
We are absolutely a better team than last year…
Just think…we traded Myron Lewis for Darrelle Revis.
    Enough said!!!

  55. BamBamBuc Says:

A response regarding our 4 “slow” DBs… first off, only a handful of WRs each year run sub- 4.4 40’s. Most run 4.5 or so. 40 times are only useful in straight line speed, which means go routes, without impediment (no bump & run coverage, no press). Most “go” or “9” routes are the Safety’s responsibility over the top with a 15-20 yard head start downfield (which I think would eliminate that 2/100’s of a second speed differential). Not all coverages are press. In “off” coverage, the DB has a 7-10 yard “cushion” which should also eliminate any slight 40 time discrepancy. If a WR has to “cut”… an in route, out route, curl route, hook, come back, post, etc… they will not achieve top speed in the 40. That would say it comes down to technique and coverages against faster WRs. Relax about the “4 slow CBs”.

  56. Buc1987 Says:

Tampabaybucfan…yeah me neither. Perhaps I might count them all up some day and not name names of course, because we all know what that leads to.

  57. Buc1987 Says:

BamBamBuc…yup I was wondering why he was complaining about 4.6.

    ———–

Yeah dude I’m real excited about Te’o, Bowers and Scott (slightly average DEs) being counted on as DT depth. I’ve paid attention and see a team with injury history and lack of depth in the trenches. I think our starters can be solid but it’s a long season and the teams playing in January have depth on the lines. It’s not good to see them constantly fill the ranks with the waiver wire scrubs. I do hope I’m over reacting.

    Go Bucs!

  59. Raphael Says:

Preston Parker released from the saints….lol. He was bashing Schiano

  60. Illuminati Says:

    @ElioT

Actually, if you look at the mindset of Schiano, Sheridan, Melvin, and Cox, and what they tried to do last year, I think they’re trying to build a d-line that is primarily about disruption and pressure, and not so much about traditional roles. That seems evident with the number of stunts and loops they ran last year (even though we didn’t generate nearly enough pressure last year).

Whatever they did, we were still damn good against the run. So, I think they feel like they can let the d-line be more proactive this year. We certainly added more speed to the line.

I think I agree with that philosophy. The d-line should play as one unit, hell-bent on disrupting the offensive backfield.

That being said, I would still like to see our best rotation of guys be allowed to just tee off and penetrate, instead of running so many loops and stunts. The tackles don’t have to necessarily be big, gap-plugging run-stuffers, and the ends don’t necessarily have to be lightning-fast edge rushers, but at least give them a chance to settle in and do what they do.

  61. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Hey…..just heard we signed Myron Lewis again!!!

Just kidding for all you complainers & whiners….

  62. john Says:

bucs will never be a 500 team as long as Dom is the gm

  63. PRBucFan Says:

I called Hillis, so much for the camp fodder statements about him ahaha

  64. joseph mamma Says:

Take away Lavonte David and that is one pathetic group of linebackers. But the tight end group is absolutely laughable. I know Sullivan doesn’t feature the tight end but still….

  65. Buc1987 Says:

Tampabaybucfan…where did Gus Numbers, or Numbers Gus go to? He was an optimist and positive fan. I hope I did not run him off by tellling him this site has plenty of negative thinking fans and he better get used to it. He was here for a bit and questioning people’s fandom and then he just split. I guess I’m just a glutton for punishment. I do know WestCoast gave up on the site too. Probably because some people are such a-holes at times why bother I guess. I just have too much free time on my hands so I just love pissing off the negative people. Oh well maybe someday that’s all this site will have left. A bunch of negative clowns.
The occasional optimistic fan will come along here and there and just be run off by negative clowns. I just think it must be very depressing for the negative ones to be Buc fans. But hey atleast they get to see what us old timers went through, except I don’t remember myself ever quite bashing my team back in the day. They were what they were, I just kind of accepted it, because I had no choice or say so in the matter. So I went to games and supported them. Of course I did bitch on game days about this and that, it’s only natural. It’s just that some people in here bicth about their every move and not just the realist either. I did see on the net past articles from the site last year. There was some people in here posting left and right. Now they are nowhere to be found. How long have you been on JBF? Is that the way it goes, do the optimistic fans just up and leave the site? I mean people sure did enjoy attacking me for saying I was leaving the site then came back. They still do. Oh well I guess I’ll just continue marching on. Who knows I could just up and vanish at any time just like the rest. I’m sure that would make a few people happy. I might just get bored with it all someday. Time will tell.

  66. Buc1987 Says:

Damn that went long sorry for that Tampabaybucfan. What a ramble huh?

  67. RBellBuc Says:

    I called Economos

  68. Illuminati Says:

It’s a good thing we don’t need a tight end in our offense. Man, the other teams in our division are completely wasting their time with guys like Gonzalez, Olsen, and Graham.

Oh, yeah, we don’t really need a third receiver, either.

I mean, really, who is it that said we’ve surrounded Freeman with all the weapons he needs?

  69. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Buc 1987

I’ve been on JBF about a year…..not real active posting at first…just reading.
Nobody is gonna run me off….don’t know about Gus or West Coast….my guess is that the will be back once the Bucs are in season and win a few times.
I actually feel sorry for some of these guys….how miserable…I mean to be a fan is to feel badly for your team when it loses but not to bash it….sure you can be concerned and wish they would do certain things you truly believe would make the team better.
I question some of these moves but I have the patience and maturity to understand that things take time to develop.
I will say this….there are over 700 players that just got let go out there….now if Dom doesn’t pick up one or two of them, I might start joining in with the Realist.
Lets face it…there has got to be a couple of players we wanted in the draft or UFAs someone else got.
My guess is that we will get a TE & DT….maybe a WR or another CB..
I think Wright & Tandy may be history by Monday.

  70. Eric Says:

    Immense.

  71. Buc1987 Says:

“if Dom doesn’t pick up one or two of them, I might start joining in with the Realist.”

LOL me too when it comes to Dom, but he has done some good things and he’s done some dumb things. I don’t expect him to be the perfect GM though. I think he’s done a lot of good things to make up for the bad. Oh well who knows, if they get rid of Dom the next guy could be worse.

  72. Buc1987 Says:

Illumnati..I kind of like Underwood as the 3rd. We do need a viable TE though that’s for sure. Like badly need one.

  73. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @ John @ Joc 5-11
You guys on two different articles with the same post.

Are you the same person….just spreading your negativity like a cancer….are you Amanda Tynes or Shaun King?

“Shaun King, one of two Buc Quarterbacks that lost a NFC Championship Game when his defense gave up 11 or fewer points.”

  74. Buc1987 Says:

    ^^^lmao

  75. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

    Lol rbell

  76. Splengo Says:

Oh Boy, this keeping 3 QBs thing is all the rage this year. The really good teams like the Raiders and the Jets are even keeping 4. Whoopee!

  77. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @ Buc 1987

I think we have some bogus posts on here from redneck Falcon, Saints, or Panther fans…..spreading negativity….surely these aren’t Tampa Bay Buccaneer Fans…

Tell me they aren’t, please. Because if they are they are very, very sad indeed!!!

  78. Buc1987 Says:

“Tell me they aren’t, please. Because if they are they are very, very sad indeed!!!”

It would not surprise me at all that they are Buc fans. Atleast JBF Buc fans anyways.

  79. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @Buc 1987

I’m ok with Dom…I actually think he is pretty damn good and I’m glad we have him….but…lets face it, there has to be one or 2 players out of 700 that we would like to have enough to cut a couple of guys that probably won’t get picked up….then we can put them on our practice squad & not lose them.

  80. Illuminati Says:

    @ Buc1987

We don’t have one TE that would likely be a starter on any other team.

As far as third receivers, a lot of teams have third receivers that might be a second receiver on a lot of other teams.

We don’t even have a third receiver that would likely be a third receiver on any other team.

Now, you know I can be a harsh critic of Josh Freeman. But I’ve heard people say that Freeman has all the weapons he needs, but the fact is, he never has had a complete offense in front of him.

    And he still doesn’t.

  81. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Felt kinda sorry for Dimke…..he kicks great until the last game…then chokes…but I guess it is a better move to go with the veteran…..just feel bad for the kid.
Just think…late in the game…down a bunch of points and we go for a field goal instead of trying to make the 1st down.
And….he misses….if we dont’ call for that field goal…he might have made the team.
    A game of inches…a game of decisions…

  82. Buc1987 Says:

I just got through looking around seat map on ticketmaster for the home opener. Does look pretty good for it not being blacked out. I know for sure my section is full no seats available. Mostly nosebleeds left. Hope we pound the Jets so we can reach that 85% level, I think they are close already.

  83. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Illuminati

I do agree with you on that point…..I think we will pick up a TE and cut Wright….I also think we will try to trade Hillis and pick up a WR.
Sometimes you’ve got to know when to foldem’….and its time for Stocker to produce.
I also agree that Freeman doesn’t have all the weapons he needs…give him Graham or Gonzalez….or a Percy Harvin or Welker. These guys are always open.

  84. Buc1987 Says:

Tampabaybucfan…yup very true. I’m just glad the preseason is over. I will never go to another preseason game ever again as long as Schiano is running the show with his vanilla style preseason.

  85. Buc1987 Says:

“give him Graham or Gonzalez….or a Percy Harvin or Welker. ”

Oh good God..it’s nice to dream. I was just running that around in my head for a bit. Stop teasing me man.

  86. Splengo Says:

The Lawrence Tynes thing is getting ugly. You guys must have POed him when y’all dumped on his wife. Is filing a greviance.

  87. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Buc 1987

Yea…I don’t think Schiano likes preseason games at all…never had them at Rutgers….I don’t think he cares whether or not we win and that affects the fan experience.
I think Raheem love to win preseason games….it made him feel good. I think Schiano feels good when the game ends and nobody is limping off the field…..look what happened…he best TE out for a few games..

  88. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @Splengo

Buc Nation sent me a warning when I called her a bitch on their site….Thank God for JBF…he isn’t a prude!!!

  89. Buc1987 Says:

Greviance? LOL a greviance for what pain and suffering?

  90. Buc1987 Says:

I hope we don’t face the curse of Lawrence Tynes and miss a lot FG’s this year. Like the Red Sox and Babe Ruth.

  91. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Stevem Means
    Amanda Tynes = Oreo Cookie
    William Gholson

  92. Buc1987 Says:

Damn you Barth. I know it was for charity and all, but how many times has an athlete been injured in a charity BB game? It happens all the time.

  93. Buc1987 Says:

    lol Tampabaybucfan

  94. Illuminati Says:

We could have easily signed Danny Amendola or Wes Welker, AND signed Martellus Bennett or Jared Cook.

None of those guys guarantee Super Bowl. But wouldn’t you feel a little better going into the season with any one of each of those pairs as our third receiver and tight end?

  95. Buc1987 Says:

Man my Red Sox have been on a tear lately. I don’t really watch baseball anymore but I do follow the scores and standings down the stretch. Can’t wait to see the look on Buc fan’s faces when I show up wearing a Doug Martin jersey and a Red Sox hat at RJS on game day.

  96. Buc1987 Says:

Illuminati …yup much better. We did have cap space too right?

  97. Buc1987 Says:

Illuminati …and hell if VJ goes down? Yikes!

  98. BigMacAttack Says:

I know I live my own little Bucs Perfection Dreamworld. I tend to think all things are good with our team and at the start of every season I’m thinking Super Bowl. I do see some serious good talent on our roster, but after the starters it gets pedestrian real quick. I like Dom and think is getting better all the time but its time for him to Man Up to Schiano and let him know his Virginia boys Goode and Tandy need to go. I’m not impressed with Carimi either. It’s nice to think Bostad can revive him but it doesn’t appear to be happening yet. Dominick really needs to find players to upgrade the bottom half of this roster. Most of those guys wouldn’t get signed by other teams if the Bucs cut them which says a lot. I’m still confident and bullish on the Bucs, but injuries will take this team from contender to pretender in as little as 1 week because the depth is nonexistent.
    Sad but True.

  99. Illuminati Says:

    @ Buc1987

If either VJax or Williams goes down, we are a one-trick pony. Maybe that’s why we’re keeping so many RBs on the roster.

  100. BigMacAttack Says:

    And F&$k the Red Sox!!!

  101. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @ Buc 1987

    Go Yanks!!!

  102. Buc1987 Says:

Were pretty thin depth wise all the way around if you consider the drop off from starter to 2nd stringer. Like if Dougie goes down then it’s what Leonard and Hillis.
That my friend is a huge drop off.

  103. Buc1987 Says:

ha ha ha ha go yanks and f&$k the red sox…LMAO!!!! Yah it’s going to be interesting walking into RJS some Sunday wearing that hat.

  104. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @BigMacAttack

You won’t find many more positive than I am about the Bucs and the direction they are going…..but…I agree with you….the bottom part of our roster needs improvement.
Dom falls in love with his own draft picks….I call it “draft ego”..that is defined as keeping a player longer than necessary in hopes that you will eventually be proven right. Tandy & Goode and to some degree Stocker could be the next Myron Lewis’.

  105. Buc1987 Says:

I mean we all saw the 2nd stringers. It’s scary, hope the starters that stay healthy can pick up the slack if anyting too major happens.

  106. Buc1987 Says:

“You won’t find many more positive than I am about the Bucs and the direction they are going…..”

Tampabaybucfan ….hell I’m picking the Bucs to win the division and I’ll also add I said it a month before Gruden said it.

  107. Illuminati Says:

    @Buc1987

VJax will be in the slot a lot this year. He’s incredibly hard to defend in the slot.

That will allow us to take advantage of Underwood’s pure speed, if he can actually see the ball in and make the catch and hang on. Because frankly, Underwood might be the only guy on our offense who can get downfield fast enough to take advantage of Freeman’s arm (maybe Eric Page)?

We will use Dougie as a receiver much more than we did last year. We can use Leonard to take up for some of the loss of Martin’s carries, and he can grind out the hard yardage, too, so that will keep some defenses on their toes.

  108. Buc1987 Says:

It’s not going to be an easy ride, it might get bumpy at times. But I still think they are going to win this division.

  109. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @Buc 1987

You da man!!! One of the things we really don’t know is how Atl, NO & Carolina will do against their competition….
We are so focused on our Bucs that we haven’t paid much attention to what is going on with them.
I will guarantee you one thing….they are not looking forward to throwing the ball anywhere near Revis.

  110. Buc1987 Says:

“We will use Dougie as a receiver much more than we did last year.”

Ha so we agree on that for sure. I don’t know if that’s why we are not so concerned with a good TE or not, but it might be the case. Who the hell knows, everything’s so damn top secret with Schiano.

  111. Buc1987 Says:

Tampabaybucfan…I think Revis has been 100% for about a month now too.

  112. Buc1987 Says:

Holy crap man…it’s almost here 1 week away.

  113. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    110%

  114. Buc1987 Says:

Yeah I like Leonard a lot from what I’ve seen so far. I call him a mini Alstott.

  115. Buc1987 Says:

    Here’s the 5 losses I have @ New England…@ Seattle…@ Carolina…San Fran @ home..and @ New Orleans. Yes I am picking a sweep of the Falcons.

  116. Buc1987 Says:

11-5 and if I’m wrong and we split with Atlanta. Then it’s 10-6.

  117. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Time for me to turn in….got to go to Church in the AM and pray for my Bucs….but I need to say a special prayer for some of the Buc fans that are in a sad state….a state of misery, dispair, fear and lost in the wilderness of negativity.

I will pray for your sorry asses!!!

  118. Buc1987 Says:

LOLL later man have a g’nite

  119. Illuminati Says:

    @Buc1987

I don’t know if that’s why we are not so concerned with a good TE or not, but it might be the case.

I don’t think that’s the case. I think you put playmakers on the field whenever you have the chance, even if it’s a position that might be “devalued” in your scheme.

I think our lack of a playmaking tight end has more to do with business issues than anything else. We could have drafted a tight end high, but that would have left us even thinner than we are now in the secondary.

On the other hand, we could have signed a tight end in free agency, although none of them were great. But a couple were certainly better than we have now. But, just because a player is available doesn’t mean he’ll sign with your team, regardless of the money. So, you never know.

  120. Jacko101 Says:

Most of these guys are the best of the bunch, but when you compare our top guys other than Revis, Martin, VJ, DG and David. They would be bubble guys Elsewhere

  121. Buc1987 Says:

Illuminati …yeah all the really good ones are hard to find or taken up already. Who knows, hopefully Crabtree will get healthy soon and he will pan out.

  122. Buc1987 Says:

jacko101..that’s assuming your throwing Freeman into the fire already. Even if you are he would definately be a back up somewhere not a bubble guy. I don’t think Nicks, Joseph, Banks, and Clayborn are bubble guys.

  123. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    (TILTED NOSE)

GREAT BACK UP/ ROTATIONAL PLAYER BEHIND AKEEM SPENCE

*08/20/13 – DT Drake Nevis, who appears to be blossoming under the Colts’ 3-4 hybrid defensive system, drew praise from coach Chuck Pagano:

‘”He’s a high-motor guy. He’s got some pass-rush ability and like I said, he’s relentless in his pass rush. He’s a powerful guy. He’s an explosive guy. Going in there and getting a couple sacks late in (the New York) game, that’s just Drake. That’s how he plays. He’s snap-to-whistle, all out. He can become, depending on who he’s going against, he gets singled up, he’s got the ability to beat guys.”

    DRAFT PROFILE:
    Strengths:
    Penetrator and play maker
    Explodes off snap
    Tough, aggressive and hard working
    Keeps his motor running
    Pass rushing threat
    Very strong and plays violent
    Good tackler

    Weaknesses:
    Not ideal height or weight
    Short arms are a liability
    Limited starting experience
    Likely only fits 4-3
