Schiano “Likes And Respects Josh Freeman”

August 13th, 2013

Longtime NFL personnel guru Scott Pioli has joined the NBC Sports Network crew and was at One Buc Palace yesterday to examine all things Bucs. In this video, Pioli gives his view of the Josh Freeman-Greg Schiano relationship and a potential Freeman free agency.

    Freeman mentoring Glennon is a very good sign that Josh Freeman has plenty of confidence & character. Josh is a “Buccaneer Man”
    Even those who aren’t fans of Freeman should be hoping that the “good Josh” wins out.

    Why wouldn’t he? He is a professional Head Coach.
    Even if Free implodes and they don’t bring him back, everyone would still respect Free… except the media and rabid bloggers and followers.

    Now, if Free turned into Shaun King, then that would be an entirely different story.

    I don’t anticipate that.

    I hope if Josh has a Pro Bowl year that we don’t lose him, and let him just walk away. I’m not ready to start all over again. That’s the problem with this franchise, we never stick with anything long enough to have it work. It seems that we are always wanting to change everything every three years. Stability is the key to long term success, unless everybody likes the chances at long shots for a one trick pony every season, we will travel this road forever. Just like many of the notorious bottom dwellers who are constantly changing, and never succeed.

    Buc’n what about the Cowboy’s sticking with Romo,Lion’s with Stafford,Ram’s with Bradford,Texan’s with Schaub,Ponder in Minny all these team’s and more were content to stick with there guy and let Kapernick and Wilson pass them by. Romo and Stafford contract’s are comical. I mean so what if they lead their team’s to a superbowl win. They could of taged them at 20M per. So what did they do? Gave them 20M per anyway’s. Flacco had to win what 8 or nine playoff games and a SB to get his cash. Romo and Stafford have what 1 or 2 playoff win’s between them.

    ^^^^ I’m not talking about just players 76. I’m also talking about coaching staffs. 🙂

    @76buc76…

    Buc’n Junkie’s point was that people like to take a long shot chance on one trick ponies.

    the 2 players that you mentioned [that you say everyone passed on] have both only had one year in the NFL. who’s to say that they themselves aren’t one year wonders?

    one thing is for sure….if you’re drafting a QB every year, you have other problems that need to be addressed.

    In the video the dude points out repeatedly how much growth Schiano has seen in Josh Freeman. It’s the same growth that I saw from 2011 to 2012 which will carry over into 2013. I’ve only said it like 50 times on JBF over the summer. Schiano backs up my point. So as far as you non believers go. I trust Schiano more than I trust your redundant points. It’s really not that hard to figure it all out, but SOME people like to make it all complicated. Bringing up this stat and that stat. The inconsistency and all that same old crap. The fact is Josh is improving and when it shows on the field this season. Schiano and I will be proven right. Go Bucs
