“A Lot More Games On TV Than There Were Last Year”
July 27th, 2013Great news for couch-potato Bucs fans.
Tonight Bucs owner Bryan Glazer talked about ticket sales and potential TV blackouts and said there will be “a lot more games on TV than there were last year.”
Glazer said ticket sales, enthusiasm for the 2013 Buccaneers, and an improving local economy, are playing a role. He also said the NFL’s 85 percent rule — teams must sell 85 percent of non-premium seats to avoid a local TV blackout — will help the Bucs more this season.

I have no tickets in hand. I will miss no home game of my choosing. Just like last year and every year since the 2004 season. I will never contractually become obliged to the Glazers in the form of season tickets ever again in my life. They abused my trust the last time I held them. There is no such thing as a true sell-out in my home city, Tampa! Bay! (with the exception of Lightning Play off tickets)

@RachelWatson’sthong …37% discount off single tickets sold me. There is a BIG difference in prices now with the season tix vs single game tix. This I’ve learned. Do wish they could lower the parking prices though, as I drive from deep Pasco county so gas cost me a lot too. Think parking passes should be around a $100.00 per season for season tix holders. Oh well to each his own I guess. By the way I absolutely LOVE your user name. That shyte cracks me up every time I see it.

This is great news. A few days ago I seen on the 4 letter network site that all the games were below 5600 tickets left and most under 4500 which is well within the 85% rule. I’m not sure how all that works but according to that site all the games should be on TV.

I am going to a few games this year in memory of my brother who recently was killed by a drunk driver! He was an avid bucs fan like me and we always made a couple of games together every year!! It won’t be the same but I will still cheer them on…

I think it’s awesome.Lucky for me it’s about the same to drive to game or a sports bar outside the blackout area.I will still attend a game once the weather gets better.

That is great news for me, considering my job schedules me every Sunday and the only chance I have to watch games is on the DVR box after work. Due to the blackouts, I could only tape the away games last year, causing me to miss half the season.
