“The Jury’s Still A Little Bit Out”
January 8th, 2013WTSP-TV, Ch. 10 sports guy Chris Fischer sat down for a long season review and offseason preview with Tampa Bay Times Bucs beat writer Stephen Holder on Sunday. The video is below.
Holder calls “competition” for Josh Freeman a “blanket” statement and is very skeptical that there will be any kind of competition at quarterback. Among many topics, Holder also says the “jury’s still a little bit out” on Greg Schiano and his coaching prowess.
Joe’s favorite part of the video comes at the 5:30 mark. It’s good to see Joe’s lingo is making an impact.

I’ve heard of selecting hearing but I guess selective reading is now the norm to when you want to act stupid.

Raphael I got love for ya ride till the wheels fall off could be worse could be better regardless I love your support and honestly I like Freeman and think there’s bigger pardon the pun issues, mind you Joe got 200 comments on a Freeman article so I don’t blame him for making more, drama sells but regardless ill hold strong Freeman to me can grow, go bucs spread the love

Joe, I like you’re site a bunch and love how you post new stuff consistently, but I think there has been to many Freeman articles recently and not enough of other subjects. What do you think Blounts future with the team? What position do you think our Bucs go with their second and third rounders? if you could have 2 solid free agents this offseason who require decent money, who would it be? Does Tiquan deserve to be on the team next year? What were Schianos most impressive and not impressive choices he made this year? You have great Buc football knowledge so please use it on something else then almost all Freeman stories
Let’s keep it real, please. As Joe types this, there are nine stories on the home page, only one is about Josh Freeman. –Joe

rock on my Yup brother …..
January 8th, 2013 at 11:59 pm
Joe’s right. Problem is, the other 8 stories end up somehow morphing into Freeman conversations. Kind of like this one right here.
January 9th, 2013 at 12:10 am
Actually this is a story that includes some content about Josh Freeman so there was no morphing.

Random note,
I really really really want our Bucs to go a complete new direction defensively. I really can’t stand the scheme we ran this season. I wish we coulda went after Lovie like Reid is.

Joe,
Please keep up exactly what you’ve been doing and disregard what some commenters are requesting in how you should run your site!
Thanks!

Chris Simms wasn’t a bad quarterback for us. Oh, and he led us to the playoffs and threw a game winning TD pass that was dropped by Edell Shepard in the 2005 Wild Card game vs. WSH. I have nothing against him.

Joe, or anyone for that matter. I no longer have a computer to use as It was unfortunately stolen, but what I’m getting at is a lot of videos that are posted here I am unable to view on my iPhone. Is there any type of setting or way that I can view these videos that joe post from my phone. Curious if that I am only one having these issues. I also follow joe on twitter, but have not seen these videos posted there. @BuccoBruce420 is my handle if anyone would like to follow. I use it purely for sports related topics. I follow back anyone who follows me as long as they keep it sports related. Thanks for any help. – James #itsabucslife for me.

@PRBucsFan agree completely. I am hoping the Falcons game makes them re-evaluate the Blitz happy schemes and play more of the Tampa 2. After all the coverage is named after us so we should play it right ??
Imagine how good we could be if we draft or get a couple of speedy 6’2ish corners who love knocking the snot out of people patrolling the zones. Provided we can stay healthy along the D-line, sign Bennett and draft a pass-rushing specialist and our D could climb back into glory again.
GO BUCS !!!!

@Raphael agree completely we need physical corners. I love the Seahawks corners they are huge. I mean wide receivers are 6’0 – 6’5″ (look at ours 6’2″ and 6’5″ with ups). We should have some big physical corners or at the very least corners who are 6’0″ and can jump. I am psyched about the draft and free agency (although corner class is weak).
One of the best of the free agent corners who is not getting talked about (probably because he plays in Cincy) is Adam Jones, Sam Shields is also a beast and I am thinking since the Packers have salary cap concerns he could be gone. Anyhow, I think we are a couple of good corners away from being a good D again.
GO BUCS !!!!

Sam Shields and Sean Smith are the best CD in free agency. If the Bucs can get both or either it would be a step in improving the pass defense.
