“Horseshoe Prints” Rankle Schiano
December 4th, 2012“Hoofs on the line!”
Greg Schiano probably wanted to scream that at the ridiculous horse running around the chewed up field at Mile High on Sunday. Actually, it probably would have been “hoofs behind the line.”
The leader of the New Schiano Order explained on The Greg Schiano Show on WDAE-AM 620 last night.
TJ Rives: The lady riding the horse around throughout the game, it’s unique to Denver. Did you give that a second thought? She was on the field pregame riding the horse around. She’s on the field in between plays riding the horse around. It’s not every day you have a horse running around on the field in the field.
Greg Schiano: I don’t mind the horse. What I do mind though is the horseshoe prints all up and down the field. The field had two high school football games played on it the night before, and certainly the last thing that field needed was a horse runnin’ up and down it. So, did I say anything? No. That’s their home field; that’s part of the home field advantage. But probably not the best thing for field conditions.
Schiano showed great restraint in not pushing game officials to corral the famed Broncos horse lady. The backlash from corralling the Broncos mascot might have rivaled the hype from kneelgate at the Meadowlands. Schiano is well aware of how the pesky media operates.

Nice piece Joe, I thought it was going to be about the hoove prints on the Bucs jerseys. A little light human interest story is a nice touch on this fine Tuesday.

@ joe
You should do an article updating the status of a.clayborn, davin Joseph,Carl nicks, and Quincy black and where they are with there rehabbing. I can’t wait to see that expensive line and players really earn there money and not hurt the cap space to land someone deserving a pay day. Such as freeman,Bennett, definitely David.

Those horse apples weren’t the only thing that stunk on the field Sunday.

Anyone else remember the game during the Wyche era when the circus was in town? They paraded an elephant down the visitors sideline, I can’t recall who the visiting team was but their coach later claimed that one of his players tripped in an elephant’s footprint.

You thinks horses are bad, there’s one team that fires cannons when they cross the 20 yard line. Then they fire those freaking cannons when they score a touchdown, kick a field goal or an extra point.
I heard that they were going to fire the cannons for opponent’s penalties next year. Holy cow!

alltheway:
There is nothing to update. All are rehabbing and the Bucs hope all are ready for OTAs next year; provided Black remains with the team.

I could live without Quincy Black. I’m confident a suitable replacement could be found. Don’t get me wrong, he was FINALLY having a good year. But he hasn’t been worth the investment.
And given what Foster and David are doing, I would love another draft pick spent on LB.
