Donald Penn Feels Your Pain

November 25th, 2012

Joe just knows there were Bucs fans who left their watering hole screaming obscenities to no one in particular.

Joe knows that there were Bucs fans (outside the Tampa/Orlando TV markets) who cussed up such a storm after the game that the family dog cowered under a couch in fear of its own safety.

Well Bucs fans, Donald Penn feels your pain. Because he was one PO’ed dude.

Though Joe didn’t get a chance to speak with Penn after the game, let’s just say he wasn’t in a talking mood, Joe clearly heard Penn’s words after the gut-punching loss to the Dixie Chicks this afternoon. Penn, as he left the field and entered the bowels of the Stadium on Dale Mabry Highway, could be heard as his words bounced off the concrete walls, an F-bomb here, an S-grenade there.

Penn was not a happy camper.

Yeah, these guys get paid good money to play something most of us played for free in high school or as tykes. Yeah, some (including Penn) get paid seven-figures a year to play this game.

And yet many, like Penn, will be unable to sleep tonight because they let a win slip through their fingers.

He’s one of the guys who plays hard every game. He’s definitely not at fault for the loss today its the other side (dotson, trueblood) who screwed up

Now we need a pass defense that feels like this.

    ouch… no words.

Ha “cussing at no one in particular”. I know I am not the only person in the world who does that. But it is so good to see it in writing because it verifies I am not the only idiot in the world who does that. Good to have company on a crappy day. There were at least 8 points, two field goals that should have been td’s (14-6=8) that were left on the field. Damn!

After the last win, Penn said to the pen & Mike club that the stadium better be sold out for the Chicks…..the inability to close it out is one of the reasons why it wasn’t. This one hurts.

Love Penn. No doubt we are missing Nicks & Joseph. With those two back along with Clayborn & hopefully a better pass D this team has a bright future.

I saw him walking out of the stadium, and I can confirm that he was pissed off. You could see it in his face, and he didn’t sign one autograph. I have no problem with that.

“The inability to close it out, was one of the reasons why it wasnt.” (sold out game)

For starters, you can’t be any more incorrect about their inability to close. They were 6-4 going in to the game for F sake.

With “fans” like these, it’s no wonder the game wasn’t sold out. There. Fixed.

    @floridagirl

Are you kidding me??? Tampa has one of worst LOCAL fan bases ever.

The Browns do nothing but lose each season and they still have a great fan base.

People in Tampa just don’t care about their home team.

I believe if we make it into the playoffs the Buccaneers still wouldn’t be able to sale out games.

I think they should relocate to place city/state where they can be appreciated.

What games are you watching?? Take a look at the Giants game, Cowboys game, and this one and then read the player comments about how they need to close the games. I have no comment on the status of the fan base. I’ve been a season ticket holder for years and have sat through all of their colon-sucking losses the past few years. Yes they’re getting better but they have to be able to win the games they should win. This game is exhibit A. You can’t win taking field goals instead of touchdowns.
