D. Orlando Ledbetter Apologizes

Joe has learned that Atlanta Journal-Constitution Falcons beat writer D. Orlando Ledbetter has apologized to both Bucs quarterback Josh Freeman and the Bucs for a comment he made that was picked up by a live microphone during a teleconference with Josh Freeman.
Each week at an NFL team’s media room, the home media has a conference call with the week’s opposing team’s head coach and a player, often the starting quarterback; but not always.
This week, said Bucs player was Freeman. Ledbetter, as Joe documented, pressed Freeman for a reason for his woeful 2011 season and Ledbetter was looking under rocks for an unknown injury to Freeman.
After Ledbetter’s line of questioning was finished without landing the desired fish, another unnamed reporter started another line of questioning but Ledbetter clearly could be heard in the background muttering “So you just sucked.”
The audio was posted on the Falcons’ official website.
Since Ledbetter apologized to both the Bucs and Freeman, Joe considers this issue closed and has no further comment other than he is impressed by Ledbetter’s apology.

You know what….that’s all it really takes….an apology. I’m satisfied. Whether he was forced to or not. He did it.

My take, personally, this guy probably was betting on Freeman and the Bucs after the 2010 great season and he happened to loose a lot of money during the 2011 one, I mean to have that kind of attitute towards Free, points in that direction, (my thoughts, just saying). So, suck it up, if that was the reason, I hope he smart enough to bet on Free again, this season. (jajajajaja)

So far as I’m concerned, the guy did it and an apology doesn’t change a thing. Payback does. BedWetter and those he answers to were just concerned this would inspire the Bucs enough to stomp them into the mud. And that’s exactly what the Bucs need to do.

Well good then. Ironically, I happened to catch him being interviewed by local sports radio up here in Jax. Or at least I caught the tail end of it, the part where he gave a favorable opinion of the Bucs and a not so favorable opinion of his own “Dixie Chicks” when asked. That caught my attention along with the name and his unique voice. I’ll put him on the plus side for said opinion along with his apology to Josh (Bucs).

What’s the big deal? Josh sucked last year. Give Ledbetter a break when other broadcasters speak the truth people say what a great job they are doing. Is anyone saying that Josh didn’t suck last year???
