Take no less than a conditional 5th round pick (escalating to a 4th rounder based on production) for LGB, he’s worth at least that to a RB needy team.

  2. RCH Says:

For only a seventh round pick would be completely foolish.

  3. Ian P. Says:

Jeremy Trueblood would be an upgrade for a handful of teams. Mike & Mike were just saying that the Eagles started their third-string tackle vs the Falcons.
    If anybody goes, it’s Trueblood.

Mike & Mike were just saying that the Eagles started their third-string tackle vs the Falcons.

    That was your first mistake.

Blount being traded makes perfect sense to me for all the reasons that have been discussed. We’ll know soon.

  6. Jwayne Says:

    @ joe

I believe i mentoned something about the possibility of Blount being traded yesterday and i was told ” to put down the Bourbon” lol I would love to see him stay and be used more, but i just don’t see that happening. I do think it would be foolish to trade him for a 7th. Its not like he’s being paid much and in the event something happens to Martin we are in trouble. I could see trading him if we got Jenkins in return (plus a late pick from tampa) or possibly a solid returner (Rainey etc.). But a 7th is a waste… i mean you see how much our current 7th round back is being used.

  7. 1976Buc Says:

I think it would be bad to trade LGB but I don’t think he will be in Tampa next year anyway. Why not get what we can for him now? The Bucs will not place much of a tender on him next year and aftr a year of little production his value will go down big time. Trade now while teams remember what he can do…..

  8. The Dutcher Journal (Pete Dutcher) Says:

Jwayne, don’t get your ego up. He won’t be traded. Blount is our most reliable backupat RB. Ware would not care the load. Smith isn’t even being given playing time.

I could see a Trueblood trade though. Might get good value for him. The problem there is depth though.

  9. The Dutcher Journal (Pete Dutcher) Says:

And…even if it did happen, the Bucs would not trade him for less than a forth…possibly a third. Is he worth it? Yes, he is…when you compare other 3rd and 4th rounders to him.

  10. Richard Says:

The Dutcher is right; where’s our RB depth if we trade Blount?

  11. Jwayne Says:

    @ Pete

I don’t know what part of my post is ” getting my ego up”!? I made a suggestion yesturday in regards to a couple storys i seen about the possiblity of Blount being traded and was pretty much called an idiot for it!

  12. Jwayne Says:

    @Pete

And the fact that you think Blount is worth a 3rd is a bit over the top. He’s an underperforming undrafted back who can’t block and can’t catch(well) and had fumbling issues. Yes he’s our best option at back up at the moment, but that doesnt mean he won’t be traded.

  13. Colorado Buc Says:

IF we trade Blount for anything lower than a 5th I will throw up! Best case scenario IF he is traded it would be for a player…Mike Jenkins…winkwink. I think he should be retained for depth unless little Michael SMith quote about Bucaneer Man of the year from Schiano was foeshadowing, and he can be a serviceable back up to Martin.

  14. bucs33 Says:

you guys are stupid i cant believe so much people here want him traded

  15. Colorado Buc Says:

    @bucs33

Did you read the posts? Only one person said it would be a good idea. Everyone else said “if” he is traded “Then”…… There really aren’t that many people asking for him to get traded, just discussing the possibility and what should be received for him.

Blount is an RFA at the end of the year and if the Schiano order does not want him around he will be gone. So why would it be “stupid” to get a good player like Jenkins, or possibly another midround draft pick for a guy who is likely to be served his walking papers.

  16. Jwayne Says:

    @ Colorado

    Thank you!!! lol

  17. SensibleBuc Says:

Anybody up for a Jared Cook for LGB trade straight up? We’re not getting much out of Clark & Stocker.

  18. 1976Buc Says:

We aren’t getting much out of Clark and Stocker because of the style of offense we are running. Same reason for Blount. The NFL is all about “fit”. Blount simply does not fit the Schiano style of play. It doesn’t mean he won’t go to another team and set the world on fire, similar to 2010. There are two ways to run offenses, design it to fit your players or find players to fit your offense. Schiano is choosing the latter.

  19. Jorge Villar Says:

Are some of you NUTS? When Blount was given lots of carries in only 8 games or so he tore everyone up, ran for a 1,000. How fast we forget. Now Schaino is doing what Gruden did to Alstott…hold him back because he did not fit HIS “scheme” …How about this scheme: win games at all costs and play the guys that wil produce when given a chance. Blount is a beast but needs carries. A 7th round for him is ludicrous. Hey, how about we give up our 7th to get somneone like him. Nobody would do that so why would we? Don’t blow this one Schiano and Dominick. You need all the weapons you can get. All of your boys are getting hurt or taking Aderral. Getting a 7th for them? Figured
