Big-Name Bucs Working Out Hard At Plant High

Perhaps preparing for the tough conditioning tests coming next week under the New Schiano Order, or perhaps still working out anger over the Bucs’ heinous 10-game losing streak, Mike Williams, Josh Freeman, Dallas Clark, Vincent Jackson, Sammie Stroughter and other Bucs have been training hard over at Plant High School.
How does Joe know they’re putting in hard work? Well, in very amateur vidoes posted yesterday on Williams’ Facebook page (written, directed and shot by Williams), the Bucs’ wide receiver seems to like to pick up the camera when he’s gasping for breath.
“We’re out here getting ready baby. Super Bowl.” Williams said covered in sweat in one take. One can also see Sammie Stroughter clearly recovering from something grueling in another video.
Joe’s pleased to see the dedication, especially Jackson and Freeman getting as much on-field time together as possible.

Not to be a pessimist, but these Freeman led workouts last year didn’t seem to work out too well.

Good to see the newer guys getting in the mix with these work outs…. Also it is smart for them to get any kind of head start with the heat. I wonder how the human armoire will handle this heat!

I think Freeman led workouts as a supplement to OTAs and Minicamps are a good thing. However they weren’t good as a replacement for those team practices.

Last year they didn’t have proven veterans participating like Jackson and Clark. Something tells me Freeman is doing less LEADING and a little more LEARNING this offseason.

Hell yeah! This is the best thing that can be happening for them right now. They can all learn so much from Clark & Jackson. I’m stoked and can’t help but believe they will make Free an awesome QB. I love the confidence with the Super Bowl comment too. Aim high and put the past behind you.

Is this a picture of Williams during these workouts? I saw pictures last year when they were at img and he did not look in shape at all,he looked like me. Looks way better,I find this encouraging

Although this doesn’t mean we are going to be great, it certainly shows a dedication to try. It’s always great so see these guys going above and beyond what is expected out of them. This is 100% good news.
