Najee Goode, Bucs Fifth Round Pick
April 28th, 2012This might be a Greg Schiano pick. Coaching against West Virginia, Schiano probably witnessed the hits this inside linebacker can deliver, Najee Goode.

lol…can’t really expect a whole lot at this point. Maybe they know something we do not.

I thought he was an OLB?

Another LB I like it… now lets go after a CB please.

The first scouting report I read on him talked about how he was the leader of the defense and loved the game of football. Dad played in the NFL and he came to WVU as a walk-on. 87 tackles, 14 for loss, 5 sacks, 1 INT, 1 FF, and 1 FR as a senior at MLB. Also played SLB. Good solid pick for, at the very least, depth.

@Joe
What you think about Cliff Harris out of Oregon? some trouble off field but sick return man and good corner.

He can play all three LB positions. Not only can he thump, but he can drop back in coverage. His dad played in the NFL back in 85. Interesting pick…

Trade the 6th round pick for Michael Jenkins.
Bring him home.
last year of his contract so you know he has to produce.
He is proven.
Just do it.

If his dad was Kerry Goode then his dad was drafted by and played for the Bucs

Dad Kerry was a FB out of Alabama. Blocked here for Lars Tate (Georgia)

Seems like a very intelligent physical player. Understands the game well enough to teach younger players. Not sure if he was the BPA, but I like the attitude, I like the player. I’m goode with the pick. We need depth at linebacker and he provide it at all three positions.
