Poll was posted at 4:48. Give it 15 minutes to get a feel for the responses. In other words, don’t go crazy if the results seem wacky before at least a hundred responses come in.
UPDATE 4:59 p.m.: Joe now has more than 100 votes in, so feel free to freak out if you must.
I like the signings … Just hope we address LB … it was awful … Even Dan Connor or David Hawthorne would be MLB upgrades … Dont leave Mason in the Middle.
Think the Bucs will let the market drop so the price drops
I need to clarify on what a “hater” is. I think Dominick and the Glazers have done an average to poor job up to yesterday in both drafting and, in both the quantity and quality of the free agent signings (and attempted signings) since Dominick was hired.
But, I like the last two days signings’, and I generally like the coaches that have been hired this time around (though I think the Butch Davis thing is juvenile).
I know you guys consider someone like 2.2 a hater. But, I saw someone in another thread attempt to call me out as a hater.
I love the Bucs, but, I call a spade a spade and don’t drown myself in the kool- aid anymore….be that what it may.
@Scotty It is bad right now in every Saints chat room. They are cursing Nicks calling him everything you can think off. Heck, take a trek over to ESPN and see just how bad it is. They are attacking this guy as if he did something wrong.
Per 1010 am CBS Sports radio host J.P. Peterson, Ronde Barber is expected to return to the Buccaneers this season. He cited a source close to Ronde Barber as giving him the information.
@canadian More of forums than chat rooms. ESPN, the Saints SB nation page “Canal Street Chronicles”, NFL.com, its everywhere. A bunch of extremely sore people flinging mud like crazy.
Watching the NFL network, they brought up a good point. If we add Richardson the offense is 100% complete and on paper one of the if not THE BEST in the NFC south if not most of the League.
I want Claiborne the most and still feel it’s the bigger need. But the Fantasy of having such a deadly offense is almost to much to bare lols.
Nicks is an excellent signing, barring injury he makes the offense better.
Wright is a game tackler, flexible, tough – probably an overachiever. Solid worker, the antithesis of Talib. However, his man
Skills are okay, not great. He is not a lockdown type player, which makes drafting Claiborne more probable now. If they draft Claiborne, this makes sense.
Everyone who tried to argue with me that Biggers can play needs to be quiet now.
VJax would not have been my choice. He has good size and athleticism which are badly needed. His hands are questionable. He has had 2 DUIs and is in danger of league suspension if he is not a model citizen. He also has some history of being a malcontent. He can stretch the defense so his presence will make a difference.
All in all the team is improved, Schiano will utilize these men appropriately. Much more help is needed on defense.
The greatest day in Bucs history was on January 26, 2003. Come on people. Today hopefully will be a stepping stone towards another magical Sunday in late Jan / early Feb. in the near future. Go Bucs!
Well, what do you know!!! Thomass found something negative out of this!! Thomas you’re a fu**ing joke and officially the village or should i say message board idiot. SMH
It says” ONE of the greatest days!”
When was the last time we added to established PRO bowl players to the team, in a 24 hour time span???
Yeah, that qualifies as a great day
I have been against the Richardson draft pick.
Buuut, signing Nicks changes this teams personality so much!
Yeah, Meybe we do add Richardson- and just beat Defenses DOWN in the NFC south. With Richardson, Blount, and Freeman running- Lorig blocking, it would be like getting beat with a Baseball.
I think that VJ was probably the most talented option available. My concern is that he is trending down and has league discipline issues – these are important considerations.
Anyone remember Talib and THC Jax?
Why Ignore my compliments on the Nicks signing, and general praise on Wright?
I am just being straight with you sheep. These players make the roster much more talented. The Glazers should have been open to acquiring players previously but I am glad they reversed course and admitted this build through the draft with a fraud coach was a debacle.
Thomas…haven’t you been wrong enough times in the past weeks, months, etc.???? Now you want to add more stupidity to your posts?? V-Jax will be fine and I’m sure his contract reflects that if he has any issues the guaranteed money vanishes.
You’re exactly right Bobby. V Jax gets 2 years of guaranteed money. After that, he has tro earn it. Even the pundits are saying, the way the Bucs structured the contracts is genius. Give credit where credit is due. Us sheep clearly understand that Rockstar needs to get credit here.
2.2, it would be refreshing for you to man up every now and then. Being critical of the Glazers is one thing, but trying to find the pit in the cherry pie is ridiculous. V Jax has bad hands turned into “I’m just saying V Jax is on decline”. That’s just more BS. I got 1100+ yards in 2011 that says you don’t have a pot to piss in. Knock off the negativity. It’s tired.
I voted one of the greatest days for Tampa, because we just signed 2 Pro Bowlers.
I have been a Tampa Bay Bucs’ Fan since we got a team here. I can’t say I remember any days like this.
So everyone’s going gaga over Richardson…does anyone think that there’s a chance Monty Ball will still be there at pick #36? Dude’s pretty solid and has worked with our new O-line coach should be pretty familiar with his tendencies.
Everyone on NFL Network agreed we should draft Richardson. Just curious Joe, are they all idiots? Do you honestly think they aren’t very educated, perhaps even more than you and the rest of us? I still think we draft Claiborne, but I think the right pick is Richardson (especially with the Nicks signing). Regardless, they are both good picks, and neither is “irresponsible” as you suggest Richardson is.

Man, Dominick seems like he’s aged! Guess the stress of the horrible season last year got to him!

This is one of the greatest days in Bucs history: 29%
Holy crap, it hasn’t been that bad guys. V-Jax and Nicks becoming bucs was better than the Superbowl? 29% of you are crazy.

Come to the dark side 941 🙂
March 14th, 2012 at 6:18 pm
jeff faine released! 😀
March 14th, 2012 at 6:24 pm
Let me give you the truth on these signings.
Nicks is an excellent signing, barring injury he makes the offense better.
Wright is a game tackler, flexible, tough – probably an overachiever. Solid worker, the antithesis of Talib. However, his man

@ Thomas 2.2.
If not V Jax then who? Just wondering.
March 14th, 2012 at 6:58 pm

March 14th, 2012 at 6:58 pm
I chose other. I was very happy (am) but I was not surprised. I’ve been saying for years the Glaziers would spend when the time was right.
I was glad they didn’t spend the last few years, because there was very little worth getting.
March 14th, 2012 at 6:59 pm

March 14th, 2012 at 7:13 pm
@2.2 Hands are questionable? Bull frigging crap. The man catches everything on this side of the equator.
That a boy Capt Tim. I’m with you.
March 14th, 2012 at 7:14 pm
I’m, or Meybe a Baseball”bat”.
With Jackson, Williams, and Winslow, we could hurt the defense if it tried to cheat the safeties down in the box.
Would put a defense between a rock and a hard place.
Kinda liking that idea. And I could really enjoy some smash mouth football!
March 14th, 2012 at 7:54 pm
Shame we didn’t make that trade with Miami for Brandon Marshall… We coulda watched him and Talib battle royale in practice.

30% of the people who voted are idiots. That is the nicest way for me to put it.
