Bucs, Eagles Fighting Over Carl Nicks

Joe was under the impression, agreeing with many analysts claiming it wouldn’t happen, that the Bucs were done signing offensive linemen.
If the aforementioned is accurate, then there would be no need for Saints offensive guard Carl Nicks.
But word from Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network claims all the above is inaccurate. Per La Canfora’s Twitter account, the Bucs and Eagles are fighting over Nicks to visit their respective facilities first, thereby inking Nicks to a deal.

If the Bucs do sign Nicks, Joe is certain of one thing:
Jeff Faine will thereby have played his last snap as the Bucs starting center.

Releasing Faine and signing Nicks would be a very wise move financially. And of course as far as talent goes.

Garcon is heading to Raheem in Washington, and Brandon Marshall went to Chicago.
IMHO, the signing of Nicks is the best move Tampa can make.
It weakens the Saints, and will greatly strengthen us with arguably the best 2 guards in the NFL for Blount to run behind.
If we do sign Nicks, we also need a tight end who actually blocks.

Definitely shouldn’t be done signing lineman. LG and a swing OT would be ideal. Depth at OT is worse than OG.

Sileo can be painful to listen to at times….as he mangles the English language….but one thing I know for certain he IS NOT a Racist…..
I just read the quote…..knee jerk PC over reaction….as I have said before……there was more open honest dialouge between blacks and whites in this country 40 years ago than today…..
