Let It Go!

November 19th, 2011

Yeah, the Bucs on defense was ugly against Houston, no question.

And it was downright ugly when they were alley-beaten in San Francisco.

But could it just be mental? That’s what Bucs new defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth suggested to dapper Rick Brown of the Lakeland Ledger.

Newcomer defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth said on Sunday the defense had a hard time letting go of bad plays.

“We’re a young team and instead of letting a bad play go and wiping it out your mind, and going and playing football, we let it pile on and kept thinking about it,” Haynesworth said. “Then, there’s another bad play and that was the kind of game you saw.”

As Maxwell Smart would say, “The old snowball effect, eh?”

This is an interesting subject to Joe. Could it be that the angry crowd, which has been kicking their dogs and cursing at their neighbors because rock star Mark Dominik is allergic to signing overpriced free agents, on to something?

I’m glad to have this guy on our team (for this price) but I’m not ready for him to be our spokesperson.

When u have no head coach, Albert Haynesworth becomes the brilliant voice of reason! Lol

The fans are not just pissed about no free agents, we are also pissed that the Glazers, to save money while paying off gruden, hired a cheap excuse for a coach who is making 20% of what peers are paid which is a HUGE overpayment when you consider what has become of this now terrible franchise.

Finishing with 2 wins over the Panthers wont restore interest to the Gru/ dungy years.

It reminds me of that movie ” The Replacements” When the Coach asked the team what they are most afraid of. Keono Reeves says “Quick Sand”. When one bad thing happens. Then another bad thing happens and it keeps happening until your in over your head and you feel like you can’t breathe. That line sticks out to me the most. As a way to describe what i am seeing with the Bucs recently. It just seems to be one thing after another of bad luck.

Its not bad luck, its bad coaching that mascarades as bad luck. Horrible starts, penalties, missed defensive assignments, quitting – all disconnected from luck.

Bad luck is when the your team’s owners become interested in european soccer clubs but cant pay cash for the one they want so they leverage our nfl team asset to borrow the money which cash straps our team into hiring rah rah.
